Beautiful 2001 BMW R1200C cruiser that’s a real head turner. I bought this bike new in California and rode it for two years till my daughter was born. It has been garaged and unused since. Extensive refurbishment done recently to prepare the bike for sale (over $2,500 spent). It is in excellent condition, great paint and leather, no scratches or marks. This is a Euro Montana edition which includes the following features: Engine protection bars, Special pullback handlebars, clear speedster screen, blacked-out starter cover, swing arm, final drive engine and transmission. Leather lockable saddlebags, raised windshield, and extra large passenger seat. The passenger seat has a backrest. The BMW R1200C was BMW's first entry into the Cruiser market, and was first released with appearance of the motorcycle in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies. The R1200C was designed by BMW head designer David Robb, featuring a cruiser riding posture and evocative styling that falls between classic Choppers and Cruiser. This bike has been adult owned and maintained religiously. If your not familiar with this model BMW, do an online search for some backround info. If you are familiar with this model, I need say no more! This garage queen has 9000 original miles and is currently just collecting dust in my garage!
One owner, always garaged, 58k miles, new motor 10K ago. Always professionally maintained. Tires are good, GarminZumo GPS, GIVI windshield, sergeant custom seat, BMW side bags, Coolcase tail bag. PIAA lights, bike is is very good condition.
Top-tier sport tourer, excellent for winter riding.More photos: :// /nos/mcy/5908751220.This beautiful bike has lived a charmed life. I bought it from Second Wind up in New Hampshire back in August. They took care of it with the previous owner, who rode it little and kept it in immaculate condition. But that's right, I've owned it for only four months! Why? I took a couple months off work to live the dream and ride this bike from Boston to San Francisco. And it was AMAZING! I added about 8,000 miles, all told. I did the full service at 49,000 back in October and put on fresh rubber around 46,500 or so. The only hiccup in operation I had was a dead brake light, which I replaced. I love this bike dearly and hate to see it go, as does my father (also a BMW rider) whose garage it's currently decorating. So why am I doing it? Why does anyone get off a majestic sport tourer? To play in the dirt, of course! I'm looking for a KLR 650, G650GS, or similar. What makes it such a perfect winter bike?* Max wind protection : wide faring and after market windshield (adjustable on an electric motor). Heated hand grips stock, plus two BMW power outlets for heated accessories.* Plenty of light with aftermarket PIAA lamps; already has reflective tape on back; includes aftermarket tail lights that flash when braking. * ABS for safer braking power in low-friction conditions (like snow).Features:* ABS* Servo-assisted braking * Heated hand grips (two settings) * Aftermarket throttle lock (see: Throttlemeisters below)* Digital fuel gauge w/ clock* SUPERB lighting and visibility * Maximum wind coverage* Comfortable riding position for long rides * Convenient storage bin by left mirror* Envy machine * BMW community mportant parts:* Rubber is Michelin Pilot Road 4* Brake pads are still well-padded* BMW panniers and top case* Added engine covers* Added Throttlemeisters* Added stalk mirrors* Added PIAA lights* Added flashing brake lights* Added flashing brake lights* Added (bigger) aftermarket windshield* Previous owner upgraded horn, Inclusions:* Original owner's and service manuals* Original tool kit* Haynes service manual* Oil filter cap wrench* Old spark plugs (kept on-as spares)* .7 liters BMW brand engine oil* Handlebar risers (about an 1 inch, not installed)* Stock handlebar ends (uninstalled), Photo Notes:* Don't mind any dirt in the photos, I'll have it shiny for you* Don't mind the stickers, I'll can remove those (unless you like them!)* The right side stock mirror is spider-webbed; I'll replace that (casing and all) before sale, no problem.
Recently refreshed with rebuilt transmission, top end rebuild (new piston rings, head gaskets, and valve cover gaskets), new spark plugs, new air filter, brake fluid flush, new battery, and new tires. Only problems is the broken side bag frame (bag still attaches and feels secure).
The lines of the S 1000 R are striking at first sight: aggressive tail-up / nose-down design, distinctive split face and the characteristic gills. The "R" shows much less of its sharp-edged, muscular skin. Some people call it naked - we just call it focused on the essentials. Power is nothing without control. The S 1000 R is fitted with Race ABS and ASC (automatic stability control) as standard. This duo ensures excellent acceleration and deceleration figures at threshold level. They can be activated and deactivated during travel, making for uninterrupted riding fun.
