2015 Yamaha WR250F, 2015 Yamaha WR250F Ultimate Off-Roader The all-new WR250F is a light, agile enduro bike for tight woods & beyond. Features May Include All-New for 2015 with a revolutionary rearward slanted 250cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC 4-stroke with 4 titanium valves based on the 2015 YZ250F, with an added sixth gear and wide ratio transmission, among other modifications, make it perfect for Enduro competition. Nearly the same bilateral beam frame that is found on the championship winning YZ250F is used on the WR250F. It places the engine and fuel tank close to the center mass of the bike for extremely light and nimble handling character. A Keihin 44mm throttle body fuel injection system is tuned for Enduro riding ensures smooth throttle response and easy starting in nearly all conditions. Plus the electric start button reduces rider fatigue. Industry leading KYB® air/oil separation Speed Sensitive System forks and a KYB® rear shock suspension with Enduro settings. With a 2 gallon fuel tank, 18-inch rear wheel and Enduro spec tires, the WR250F is ready to win right out of the box. The revolutionary, rearward slanted, high-performance liquid-cooled 4-stroke, 4-valve, fuel-injected engine has been tuned for Enduro riding. The fuel injection system uses 3-D mapped electronic control for the injection of fuel and ignition timing that are optimized for the challenges of endure riding. A 6-speed wide-ratio transmission is used to improve traction in all types of conditions. Push button electric start makes starting the WR250F easy and convenient. An all aluminum bilateral beam frame similar to the YZ250F provides strength, lightness and durability for all riding conditions. Removable aluminum rear subframe constructed of square-section tube for reduced weight. Industry favorite KYB® air/oil separate Speed Sensitive System spring forks with Kashima coating and KYB® rear shock, also with Kashima coating and featuring a large 50mm piston. Both the forks and rear shock are tuned specifically for Enduro riding. The clutch plate material, springs, push lever and oil valve are optimized for Enduro riding. Special Enduro spec tires are used to maximize traction while delivering excellent wear. Accessory GYTR® Power Tuner lets owners adjust air/fuel mixture and ignition timing maps to match engine performance characteristics to the rider and race conditions in a matter of seconds with the push of a few buttons. An onboard Enduro computer is standard and features speedo, odometer, average speed, clock and more. The WR250F features a headlight, taillight and skid plate. A side stand is standard for added rider convenience 50-state emissions compliant for off-road use.

Not exactly an enduro model and not a streetbike either, the WR250R is for riders who ride off-road more than on. 250cc liquid-cooled, DOHC engine with two titanium intake valves and two steel exhausts, forged piston and plated cylinder for outstanding durability. Pentroof combustion chamber with downdraft-type straight intake helps make excellent power across the rev band, with maximum power at 10,000 rpm. First use of fuel injection on a 250 Yamaha on/off-road bike. The system relies on input from a crank sensor, intake air pressure sensor and throttle position sensor feeding a compact ECU to provide optimum combustion. An ECU-controlled EXUP® exhaust valve, along with an electronic intake control valve, broadens the powerband. High lift cams have WPC surface treatment in which the surface is sprayed with fine powder at over 100 meters per second to increase surface hardness. YZ/WR250-inspired semi-double-cradle frame uses a main frame of cast and forged aluminum sections, with high-strength steel downtubes for excellent strength and rigidity characteristics. Asymmetrical swingarm provides excellent strength/rigidity balance and a dynamic look. Cast aluminum crossmembers, extruded arms and a 22mm rear axle are carefully tuned for optimum handling. Fully adjustable 46mm fork provides 10.6 inches of wheel travel. A forged lower triple clamp and a cast upper one help give outstanding front-end feel. An aluminum steering stem reduces weight. A slim, steel fuel tank is shaped with knee grip in mind, and the entire ergonomic layout is designed to make the rider feel like part of the bike. Narrow, YZ-inspired seat features gripper-type cover for great seat-of-thepants feel. Seat height is 36.6 inches. WR enduro-style instrument panel provides excellent visibility in spite of the compact size. Basic mode provides speed, clock, tripmeter and selfdiagnostic function. Measurement mode includes stopwatch, distancecompensating tripmeter, etc.
