1988 Yamaha Virago 1100 I was left this bike when my grandfather died. Here are the facts: - One owner bike, transferred to me before he passed away.- Bike is 100% original, no aftermarket pipes or carb work. - Bike sat for the last year and a half. It started on the first hit of the starter with full choke, warmed up and idled fine when I went to start it a few days ago.- Rode it around for 15 or so miles and it was a bit sluggish at first but ran fine when it warmed up. Could probably use a carb clean- Shifts through all gears like it should and neutral is easy to find- Original documentation and purchase order with the bike. Have a receipt for new tires (2004), carb cleaning and sync (2006), and an oil change (although i know he did more). This bike has been babied- All lights work like they should. high beam, turn signals, brake lights, neutral light.- Bike is very very clean. No dents or major scratches on tank or side covers. - Brakes are firm and responsive- Absolutely no leaks- As i have been told, this bike was extremely reliable and my grandfather had absolutely no issues with it. Please contact me with any questions you may have. If you are from out of town I will be happy to pick you up at the airport. Wouldnt hesitate to ride this bike pretty far as its never had any issues and has been maintained regularly. Would consider trades (+ or - $) for harley or chopper stuff

1986 Yamaha Virago XV 1100 with 3 helmets, rain cover, Clymer service manual, and box of extra parts (if you want them) This bike starts up immediately and runs great. It has a lot of power and moves out quickly. There are no flat spots during acceleration. The gearbox shifts smoothly through every gear. It easily hauls two riders. This is a beginner-friendly bike with a low center of gravity, it's easy to handle, and very comfortable for shorter riders. And, you'll be glad to have the extra horses when desired, which will also satisfy more seasoned riders. If you are considering a smaller cc bike as a first purchase remember that most people wish they went larger -- then upgrade later. This larger cc bike is a safe decision given its well-known ease of handling. Standard features of this XV 1100 include shaft drive, dual front disc brakes, tachometer, center stand, handlebar lock, helmet lock, sissy bar, battery tender, and the extra chrome touches. Compare these features to any other bike under consideration. Then add Yamaha's ongoing winning streak for quality and reliability. Recent additions have been NEW tires, NEW battery, NEW fork seals and NEW shock absorbers (less than 50 miles since those services). Ask any questions you like, and ask for more photos if you need them. I have the clear title in my hand! I am proud of my 100% positive feedback so you know I'm good for selling! You must pick it up here in Monroe, Virginia or arrange transport yourself. Good luck!

1986 Yamaha XV1100 Cafè Racer Engine and transmission Displacement: 1063.00 ccm (64.86 cubic inches) Engine type: V2, four-stroke Power: 65 HP Max RPM: 7000 Compression: 8.3:1 Bore x stroke: 95.0 x 75.0 mm (3.7 x 3.0 inches) Valves per cylinder: 2 Fuel system: Carburetors Hitachi HSC40 Lubrication system: Oil pump Cooling system: Air Gearbox: 5-speed final drive: Shaft drive (cardan) Clutch: Wet, multi-plate Here’s a beautiful creation from Magnum Opus custom bikes. This XV1100 has a ton of upgrades; It received a 2005 hayabusa 1300 forks, wheel, rotors and master cylinder, goodridge stainless steel brake lines, 52 mm Driven Clip-ons bars, and all the joints in the front end have received a complete and customized rebuilt to be installed to the XV frame. The upper triple clamp it’s a piece of art, designed by the owner of the company and milled from a solid block of aluminum 6061 to be finally engraved with the name of the company and bolted onto the custom made triple tree. The old instruments were replaced with digital ones in order to get a more minimalistic look. The tank has a brushed finish and beautifully clear coated, the back of it has been lifted by 3” to match the level of the seat, installed onto a customized braket and mounts. Tank and seat are linked toghether by a beautifully hand-made leather strap. New red Bikemaster cone filter allows the motor to breathe better than the original pod filter, and also gives the bike a sporty look. All wires connections were soldered and insulated with heat shrink tubes, no crimp connectors or similar funky stuff The rear end had a complete overhaul as well, new adjustable rear shocks were installed as well as the LED turning signal and a new tail light. The turning signal were integrated into the frame to have a more homogeneus look, no sticking out blinkers, and the beautiful stop light with a removable grille was firmly bolted onto a custom made braket under the seat. The exahust was partially wrapped with fiberglass tape colored to match the color and design of the bike. Finally, new shinko whitewall tires were installed to get a classier look for this amazing shaft-drive cafè racer. The bike has been tested for 100 miles after the rebuilt Clean title (buyer is responsible for shipping)If you have 0 feedbacks you must contact me first or your bid will be canceled. Cycle World Magazine rated the shaft-driven 97/98 Virago 1100 as one of the best bets in the used cruiser market. Yamaha offered the first shaft-driven cruiser with the Virago. It had a long run and they worked out all the bugs. For sale is a 1997 Yahama Virago XV 1100 Special with Clean / Clear Title and 37,941 miles, which will continue to rise somewhat. This bike is in very good condition. The Metallic Red / Pearl White tank and fenders are in good shape and the chrome shines up well. It has new tires installed about 1500 miles ago. Based on the Cycle World recommendation I bought this bike in May / 2013. Since then I've put over 7,000 miles on it, and done a lot of maintenance / repairs. The bike has Corbin Pipes and a Stage 1 Jet Kit. The jetting has been further customized with the aid of a Colortune spark plug and vacuum gauge. Here's a list of all of the recent improvements: New Mustang Seat ($450+ Value) New Battery / Tires / Plugs Carbs Cleaned / New Jetting / Carbs Synched New Air Filter / New Oil Filters (Three Changes) New Intake Manifolds / Valve Adjustment Progressive Rear Shocks New Side Cover Gaskets / No Oil Leaking Wrenching on the bike has been almost as much fun as riding it. The bike starts right up and the choke is seldom required. There are no flat spots during acceleration. It shifts smoothly through every gear. It's got great low end power and can easily support most two-up riders. Yamaha is known for its reliability and this bike should offer many more years of solid serviceability. Many of the mechanical issues that are required of an older bike have been addressed and it did pass a Maryland Inspection last year. It is being sold because I bought a larger sport touring bike which better suits my taller frame. Features to appreciate about the bike's original design are the dual front disc brakes, tachometer, self-cancelling turn signal switch, center stand, handlebar lock, helmet lock, sissy bar, battery tender, and the extra chrome touches. The saddle bags are very convenient for quick trips to the grocery store or to pack for longer trips. Tail Bright tape was also added on the back of the bike in three different places for added safety. It's black during the day then shines bright at night when headlights hit it. If you are worried about this bike being too big it weighs 536 pounds, which compares favorably to most 750 to 800cc bikes of this era. It handles very well in turns with its low center of gravity and tracks even better with the new tires. Pound for pound the extra horses make this model a great value. If you plan to do any two-up riding this bike should do much better than its smaller cc'd cousins. The only thing wrong with it is a minor right side fork seal leak, which may or may not need to be fixed for an inspection in your state. Two new fork seals are included in the sale. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required within 24 hours of the sale with the remaining balance due within 72 hours. All payments are to be made through Paypal. Shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser. For a negotiated fee the seller can consider trucking arrangements within a few hour radius of Washington, DC. Thanks for your interest.
