This is an excellent choice for intermediate motorcycle riders. It has two saddle bags for storage and after-market exhaust pipes (valued around $500). Well maintained, only ridden during summer and spring, oil changed regularly. Still runs strong at 280k miles! Message me if interested, I have more photos available. Steven R

The centerpiece of any motorcycle is its engine. The V-Star's engine traces its roots to the air cooled, 70-degree V-twin Virago 535. The 535cc engine's bore increased 5mm and the stroke increased 4mm for a new bore and stroke of 81 x 63mm, bumping the V-Star's displacement to 649cc. The V-Star retains the 535's two-valve cylinder-head design and compression ratio of 9.0:1. However, each cylinder's single overhead cam cuts a new profile, and the Mikuni carburetors' throats shrank from 34mm to 28mm, for better response off the line at the expense of some power up at higher rpm. Exhaust gasses exit via a two-into-two staggered dual system with a cross-over tube.

NOTHING'S MORE CLASSIC THAN A GREAT DEAL. For years, 40 cubic inches was a lot of motor. Guess what; it still is, especially when a sweet, overhead-cam 40-inch V-twin powers a bike that doesn't weigh so much. The V Star Classic is light, maneuverable and ready for you to make it your own.

Just over 19,000 miles! Perfect cruising bike. It does come with a wind shield and bags. I just need something a little bigger to stretch out on for myself. Carburetor was rebuilt two months ago, new plugs and battery at that time as well.

13700 miles. Saddle bags, windshield, passenger seat (with luggage rack), and engine guards. Very good condition. Garage-stored. Have all scheduled service records. Clean title. If you’re thinking about taking up riding, this will make an excellent starter bike. It has a low center of gravity and is relatively light for its class. It’s great as a commuter bike or for cruising backroads. The only reason I’m selling it is because I just bought a bigger V Star for more interstate riding.
