Hi - I'm the second owner of this wonderful motorcycle. This was my second bike and we had some great trips down to Virginia, up to the Catskills and Pennsylvania, and even an eight day trek to Nova Scotia. This is a solid, reliable bike that is strong enough to carry a second rider and gear or spirit you along solo through traffic. The upright seating position is also great for seeing above other vehicles in traffic. I purchased this bike in March 2012 from an older gentleman in Delaware. Since then I've conducted oil changes at the start and end of the riding season using Shell Rotella T6 and K&N oil filters. In December 2012, at approximately 10,000 miles, I replaced both tires with Bridgestone BT-023s. The bike currently has around 22,000 miles. The bike features an CALSCI windshield that was modified by the previous owner to better move the air up and above your head. If ridden responsibly, the bike easily gets around 50 MPG. The bike also features an aftermarket exhaust (Akrapovic e1, 0502) that sounds great. There's also one small dimple in the tank that you likely wouldn't notice if I didn't point it out. The bike also has Shad top and side plastic cases which do show some wear and tear. I also installed heated hand grips and a usb port using a relay. The USB port is located under the seat. Lastly, I installed one inch lowered pegs from Knight Design to provide additional leg room on long rides. I still have the original windshield and pegs and will include a mini bleeder for changing the brake fluid, an oil filter removal tool, ceramic brake lubricant, an oil pan and front and rear EBC Organic Brake Pads that I have not installed. I'm only selling as I got engaged over the winter and she doesn't want to compete with a Japanese motorcycle. Sad story, I know. Just bought a new bike so have to find a new home for my trusty FZ6. It has been a stellar bike but I can't afford to keep 2. It's a great bike with the same engine Yamaha used to put in R6s just tuned more for street use making it more friendly. Ironically it's significantly more powerful than their newer FZ6Rs making 95 hp along with the new exhaust. 23k miles on the Odo and runs great. Used only premium gas even though it can run regular. Two brothers exhaust makes it scream like a howler monkey and definitely has saved me from a bunch of accidents. Never been crashed but has been tipped over while standing by bafoons who don't know how to parallel park, so has some expected wear and tear but nothing aggregious. Regular oil changes every 3k miles most done by me and some by dealers using only synthetic oil. New chain installed a few thousand miles ago along with new tires (pilot road 3s). Frame sliders are on along with a dual headlight mod (I connected an extra cable to keep both front lights on). 2009 Yamaha Fz6 R, 2009 Yamaha FZ6R for sale. 9,190 miles and runs great. The bike was last serviced on 05/15. The motorcycle received a full tune up, new tires, and steering stem bearings.
