2017 Triumph Tiger Explorer XRT Lucerne Blue, 2017 Triumph Tiger Explorer XRT Lucerne Blue EVERYTHING FEELS RIGHT WITH THE WORLD Our new Tiger Explorer is packed full of new rider-focused technology to ensure superb handling stability and control that can be tailored to your personal preference, letting you get the most out of your ride, whether on road, trail or byway. The range is divided in to two distinct model variants. The XR series are optimised for road use, while the XC models thrive in more rugged terrain, but both are equally happy when the roles are reversed. The unique-in-class 1215cc triple engine delivers more power, more torque and improved fuel consumption, smoothly and progressively across the whole rev range. TRIUMPH SEMI ACTIVE SUSPENSION (TSAS) The new Tiger Explorer s performance is given a new level of dynamism on the XCx,XCA,XRx & XRt models with the addition of the ground-breaking Triumph Semi Active Suspension System. This allows the rider to electronically control the adjustment of the front and rear suspension damping, automatically adapting the rear shock absorber pre-load settings to reflect the terrain being covered and load carried, to provide optimal grip and drive in any situation. The system uses an inertial measurement unit which incorporates 3 gyros and 3 accelerometers to continuously measure the bike's roll, pitch and yaw as well as longitudinal & lateral accelerations. The chassis central unit then uses this information, along with suspension position, swing arm position, wheel speed sensors, brake pressure and twist grip, to calculate the damping settings. All designed to deliver an engaged, confidence inspiring ride. RIDER MODES The new Tiger Explorer family makes full use of Triumph s impressive Rider Mode technology to offer a choice of up to five Rider Modes, four which are pre-set and one which can be programmed by the rider which alters the configuration of the bike to suit riding style, road and weather conditions. Each Rider Mode changes the engine map, the levels of ABS and Traction Control, and where fitted, the damping set-up of the TSAS system and power. Rider Modes: ROAD Maximises comfort and riding pleasure, particularly over long distances. The ABS and Traction Control settings ensure great stability and optimise braking on paved surfaces. The engine map is set to make the most of the smooth delivery of power over asphalt or similar surfaces. The TSAS (if fitted) will provide the optimal setting for road use. Available on all Tiger Explorer models Rider Modes: RAIN Specifically developed for use over wet and slippery surfaces, the engine map reduces power, the Traction Control setting minimises rear wheel slip for enhanced control and the ABS setting prevents lock-up, avoiding uncontrolled skids. The TSAS (if fitted) features a

As if it wasn’t mouth-watering enough, Triumph’s popularTiger 1050 has been given a sporty new look for 2012, packed with an improved specification, new colors and graphics, and the same powerhouse drivetrain that we’ve all come to appreciate.A truly versatile motorcycle, the Triumph Tiger 1050 SE is a rare creature that’s versatile and adept on just about any road surface. There’s no question that its well-rounded nature has made it one of Triumph’s best-selling models in recent years and given it a huge following around the world.Sit astride the Tiger 1050 and you will understand just why so many year-round riders choose them as their daily rides. The tall - 32.8" - riding position gives the rider a commanding view over the traffic, with the well-appointed saddle facilitating comfortable day-long riding. New for the 2012 model are high-specification black anodized tapered aluminum handlebars. These are over half an inch lower than the previous steel items to give a more sporting riding position. The standard Tiger 1050 SE comes in three different color options: Diablo Red, Crystal White, and a two-tone Matte Black/Matte Graphite combination. The higher specification Tiger 1050SE also benefits from Triumph’s ABS braking system, as well as the standard fitment of hand guards, centerstand and 43-liter saddlebags, optional extras on the standard Tiger 1050.Then there’s the powertrain, a staggering 1,050cc triple engineering feat that has been a staple of Triumph over the years, capable of effortlessly delivering 113 brake horsepower and 72 lb/ft of torque at just 6,250 rpm.For 2012, the Tiger 1050 features redesigned suspension internals and new damping characteristics front and rear, with a stiffer spring at the rear. The result is a more controlled ride, both solo and with a passenger, with reduced dive under braking, making for an all-around, versatile bike that’s ready to conquer the road.
