Hard to find and very collectible Triumph Thunderbird Sport. 1999 900cc 6spd transNo time to ride and needs to be passed to someone who will. *14,113 miles plus about 100 from a broken speedo cable just today during a ride. *Engine and all mechanics, cooling, electric, ect is in top condition and shape. *Green cam from a Sprint, D&D 3/2 exhaust, K&N pods.*Carbs (Keihin CV36) were rebuilt with new fuel rails and t-connectors, o-rings, and jets last summer. *Fuel tank was re-lined w/por15 tank sealer and cured for 1 full month. Gas tank will need to be stripped and re-painted to your own color scheme, due to a bit of tank sealer that was exposed on the paint during sealing process. *New Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tires. *fork seals replaced, refilled to spec with Motul.*Brembo brake master cylinder, brand new brake pads, front and rear. Stainless Steel brake lines. New full syn fluid in all hydrolics.*Fender elimination kit with custom aluminum sides. I'm downsizing and getting rid of a couple of motorcycles. One is this Limited Edition 1999 Thunderbird Sport, ridden regularly and well cared for.The Thunderbird Sport was introduced by Triumph in late 1997. It is a more sporting version of the Thunderbird 900 with power increased to 82 hp (61 kW) @ 8,500 with 36mm flat side Keihin cv carbs and six-speed gearbox. It has slightly revised styling, twin disc front brakes, fully adjustable sports suspension, and twin silencers on the riight side. Its styling is intended to recall the early 1970s Triumph X-75 Hurricane.This is a hard motorcycle to classify. Some call it a cruiser, or sport cruiser, because of its classic appearance. However, after riding it most say it definitely does not feel like a cruiser. Others consider it a naked sport bike, because of its excellent suspension, powerful multi-cylinder motor and aggressive riding position. 1999 Triumph Thunderbird Sport, 885cc Hinkley Triple engine. 32k miles. Starts every time and runs great. Quick and nimble, ride away today(tag is in date)! LED turn signals and brake light. Comes with the original fender, it's not on the bike or pictured. The helmet is size small, I have a second Harley half helmet that can be had if needed. Seats swap in seconds. One-of-a-kind! Head-turning, conversation starter are the first things that come to mind when I think about this amazing and rare to find Triumph. Last time they made the cafe style of the Thunderbird was pre-2004. This is is EXCELLENT condition, never put down, no rust and it gets 40 MPGS. I'm starting a family and the wife...well, you get it. This is a fairly rare example of a low milage TBS. The 1999 Thunderbird Sport is especially rare due to the dual stacked exhaust and the aluminum spoked wheels. The later models went to steel spoked wheels and dual sided exhaust. Extremely low milage and in excellent condition. I have put a lot of time, money and parts into this bike to make it perform as well as it looks. 1999 Triumph Thunderbird Sport in immaculate condition. These machines have quite a cult like following due to the limited production run of four years. The bike has slightly over 15 k on the clock and has always been garaged and maintenance procedures documented and kept current. The bike is currently running the extremely rare D&D 3 into 3 system, it is loud but dialed in perfect with the correct jetting for the pipes and K&N pods. There is an extra exhaust system with stock headers and EPCO mufflers, again extremely rare since the company is no longer in business. The "Bird" comes with the OEM solo seat, headlight fairing, and extra two up seat. The current front and rear fenders have been bobbed and paint matched for more of a cafe look, but the stock OEM fenders are included with the sale. All of the stock items such as OEM turn signals, air boxes, "Cheese Grators" are included in case you would ever want to return the bike to stock form. Coils and wires have been upgraded to Nology, again stock coils and wires included. New chain and sprockets, recent Avon tires, and period bar end mirrors. This machine needs nothing and runs perfect. The only reason I am selling my pride and joy is age related, unfortunately the riding position of the TBS is not conducive with my arthritis limiting my riding distance. 1998 Triumph Thunderbird Sport for Sale. This is one Yellow and Black Super Clean and runs like a champ TBird. Yes this is the triple that puts a grin on your face when one opens up that throttle! True Sport with the up-swept pipes. A Must See! Great Example of a clean modern Classic. I have invested a lot of time and money making this bike like new. Like most past loves in ones life, she must go to make room for another! Tires, hoses plugs, wires, chain, Carbs ..ect.. replaced along with many many other parts. Rare 1998 Thunderbird Sport in pristine condition. The Thunderbird Sport was made from 1998 to 2004 but the '98 and '99 are the most sought after models. One of the early mono shock sport bikes, the Thunderbird Sport took the traditional Thunderbird cruiser and pushed it to eleven. Three into two up swept reverse megaphone exhaust stacked on the curb-side sets this bike apart from the tamer looking 2000 to 2004 models. It's powered by a 900cc liquid cooled 4 valve per cylinder DOHC triple with three 36mm Keihin carbs. It features twin disc brakes in front, adjustable 43mm forks and a single adjustable rear shock. This TBS also has an original luggage rack and a fly screen imported from England in matching Race Yellow, heated grips, and Triumph Speed Triple bar end mirrors for a touch of modern café style. The original mirrors are also included. She starts and runs flawlessly and turns heads at every bike event. This retro styled Sport Bike is ton up fun to ride and the best example of a classic Thunderbird Sport available today.
