IGNORE THE EBAY  SHIPPING STUFF. I WILL SEND THIS ANYWHERE .  Here is a great start for a cool bike. Frame and engine are both 1951 although not matching. I bought the frame from Norton guru Jerry Ficklin. Tank mounts are shaved but the rear is there and can be put back.  Frame is otherwise superb although not correct for a 51 Inter as these were housed in the garden gate. The rigid should give better handling . Jerry sent a template for engine plates which is also included. Lay down box  looks good but I have not taken it apart. The engine is superb with the exception it will need a rebore or a sleeve. It is near 100% complete. Good threads and no broken fins.  The  rare RN racing carb is incomplete . The magneto is the desirable BTH TT model and looks superb.  The tank is a genuine pre war racing scalloped or "pie crust" job  and is also in superb shape and no I will not sell it separately ! Other parts  and bikes are available .  I can send this project in pieces via Xpresspost  to anywhere in the continental USA for $800.  I have done it several times and there have been no issues. Check my feedback and bid with confidence . Thanks for looking.   Call me at 613-273-5036 or shoot me an email  with your questions and complaints.  [email protected].  Canadian bidders are subject to HST tax

NEW INFO GLEANED FROM NOTED HISTORIAN HARRY SUCHER'S BOOK "INSIDE AMERICAN MOTORCYCLING"  It would appear that Elwood actually was the winner of the very first 200 mile race at Jacksonville  WITH THIS BIKE  !!ELWOOD WAS CHEATED OUT OF A WIN HERE JUST AS OTHER BRITISH MOUNTED  ( BILLY MATHEWS) CANADIAN RIDERS WOULD BE IN THE YEARS TO COME.  READ THE EXCERPT.ALL THE SHOWN PHOTOS OF  JACKSONVILLE AND SAVANNAH PITS ETC. ARE INCLUDED WITH THE SALE.  OTHER EXTRAS INCLUDE ELWOOD'S STEEL SHOE, A RUBBER RACING SADDLE, A NORTON SPECIAL GEARBOX SPANNER ETC. It would probably take a book to describe the history of this bike but it's greatest glory was in the hands of the famous Canadian racer Elwood Stilwell. Just one example of Elwood's and the bike's prowess can be taken from the National professional dirt track races at Langhorne Pa. in 1935. Elwood lapped this notoriously dangerous and tough course at over 83 miles per hour! This on a four year old bike pitted against the factory racers from Indian etc.  He finished 6th.  The gas tank is home made by Elwood and many other parts have been changed down through the years as the bike was raced into the 1960's. This bike has patina. The chain of ownership was documented by my friend Bob McCoy who I purchased the bike from about 20 years ago.Bob bought it from either Elwood directly as he was a good friend or his estate.  The photos show Elwood at the Savannah and Jacksonville races as well as on the beach before the start of the very first Daytona race  in 1937. Elwood along with a few other prominent Canadian racers raced speedway in England for a stint. ( obviously not on this bike!) I have partially dismantalled this engine to show it's condition which is excellent. Looks like a fresh rebore and no vertical rod play. Downdraught head with excellent condition correct racing bronze bodied Amal. The pillion in the main picture is not included but the ratty one with patina is!  I have been to the VMCC headquarters library in Burton UK and sadly the page with this bike has been partially torn away however it does state clearly that this bike was designated a "TT Replica" model with close ratio gearbox, racing magneto and racing carb all, of which are present. The original triple stay frame ( similar to Brough Superior and some AJS ) is there but it was changed  to the same type  form an early 30's Norton sold by Brown's Norton Toronto. Although the numbers do not match they are all authentic undoctored and period correct. Take a close look as bikes like this don't come along every day. Canadian buyers are subject to sales tax.  Shipping this to the USA or anywhere else is not a problem. I have crated and shipped many bikes.  give me a call or send an email for more photos or info   Thanks for looking   Barry 613-273-5036   [email protected] FOR SHIPPING CONTACT THESE FOLKS North American shipments: Adam or Jacqui TFX International Specialized Vehicle Transport 11 City View Drive Etobicoke. The best way to buy one of these very special engines is ALL APART so you can see what you are paying for. This engine is a beauty . Have a close look. The main bearings  feel like they are new. The cases are matching  and  the numbers  ALSO match on the cam box and it's cover. The cams are in good shape as are the rockers and followers.  Bevel gears and bearings etc are excellent. Everything turns smoothly including the oil pump still in the timing case. The head looks superb with no broken fins and what look like brand new valves although the guides show wear. The exhaust threads are superb. One chipped fin on the lower end of the barrel. small cracks at the clearance cutouts at the barrel bottom which I have pictured. No big gouges in the cylinder.   I have no piston that fits the bore  and the cylinder may need resleeving if you are going to build a racer.  The rod shows a trace of up and down but the assembly looks totally unmolested and polished , I believe it may be Manx as the rod is huge. I have lots of other rare Norton bikes, parts and other rare makes and models and like to swap.  I am looking for a G50 Matchless engine or parts. I was going to re assemble this engine for a photo but then I thought this is the best way to ship it anyway. I can re assemble it if you want.  Shoot your questions to me I am [email protected]  or 613-273-5036    I can ship this anywhere in the world. Payment by bank transfer.  Thanks for looking
