Gorgeous 650SS (Sports Special) Vintage Cafe Racer. Exceptionally rare, especially in the states. Original Slimline Featherbed frame. Older restoration with premium Brit parts. Alloy tank, Manxman solo seat, rearsets, Goldie Pipes, Concave headlamp, Hagon rear shocks, Amal concentrics with chokeless velocity stacks (stock monoblics tend to flood in the downward angle to the head). Wassell bars. Lucas Magneto. Matching numbers engine to frame. Matching aluminum front fender included (I prefer off). Purchased several years ago from an older enthusiasts estate. Had not been driven in a while so I gave it all new fluids, new K70 tires (150 miles on them), fuel hoses, Brit petcocks, both carbs rebuilt with Amal kits, throttle cables. Plugs & wires, adjusted valves, NOS brake switch, Speedo cable, Many consider the 650 Nortons the most desirable due to the smoother operation before going to 750-850cc, which brought more vibration. This bike is an absolute runner. The handling of this old beauty makes you swear it can't be 52 years old. Is it perfect? Don't be silly, it's a 60's British classic. Normal oil leaks. Lights are reliable. Beautiful Smiths dials work great. On occasion the horn works. The small stuff doesn't bother me. I would rather keep as much as I can intact & original. Does not smoke. It has had a conversion to use a Mity Max electronic control which works great, eliminating the battery etc, but at idle the lamps go dim as no battery to pick up the slack. NY inspection had no issues, check your state laws to be sure. Easy conversion back if you want to add weight & get a tick slower. :) NY State does not issue titles in pre 74 bikes, so you get a transferable registration that you can bring to your DMV. Odometer shows about 1000 miles, so that I assume is after the restoration many years ago. True mileage unknown. Several manuals & a few small spares. If you look up Cafe Racer, you will see a picture of this bike. Hurry up before I come to my senses. $12500. $500 deposit on PayPal, balance within 7 days. Cash or transfer, cashiers checks ok but may have to wait a few days to clear.

It was a one owner machine. Parked in the late 1990's. Have the Original sales receipt with correct vin number from 1975. Owners manual etc. Would make the perfect bike to restore. Matching numbers # 325374. Clear Title. Does not run. Turns over with great compression. 20,405 miles. Brakes will need to be bleed. Built in 12/74. Clear title. As for the condition of the bike i was say its in good condition. Looks to be complete. No damage on the motor, no broken fins etc. Gas tank and side covers have no dents. Gas tank has some tiny bubble spots on the paint. Inside of tank was lined at one time. Paint still looks very nice. The speedometer gauge has some fogging inside. No dents in the front fender. Front blinker lens is missing. Chrome does have some pitting and rust in spots. Mufflers look to be aftermarket. No holes or dents. Overall a great candidate with original sales receipts and documentation to restore. You receive what is pictured. Please see my other vintage motorcycles and parts. Also if you are looking for a certain pre 1985 motorcycle, just let me know! The bike is Sold as is. Email with Any questions. Please the payment must be made within 5 days of close of auction. I have a 750 Atlas motor that needs the top end reinstalled fresh bore .20 over with new pistons, rings and copper head gasket ready to go. Top end gasket kit included, Norton Transmission Primary with clutch basket. A pair of 930 Amals A real Norton Roadholder Front end with Front wheel. Norton Rear Wheel Laced to a 16 inch Harley rim An ugly Norton Frame with a bolt on/ tached on hard-tail ( With title) All the engine and Transmission Mounting brackets This was a basket case I bought with some other project I do not know any history. You have a mix of older N15 parts (front end, N15 frame modified and '67 title) and later Commando engine parts. For example the clutch cylinder, barrel, carbs and motor mount are Commando which was first introduced to the US in 1969. The frame and front end are from an N15 There is a lot of value here Engine is worth $1200+ roadholder an easy $500 Tranny $500+ Frame and title no numbers on frame that I can see $500 + Carbs $100 Wheels $150 each Primary and clutch basket $150.00

Up for sale in time for the Holidays is a restored Norton Atlas 750, loaded with every imaginable period Dunstall bit. The bike was first imported to Berliner on June 3, 1966 as a "Norton Atlas 750" according to VMCC records. It was restored by a former Norton dealer in the mid-80s as a Dunstall Dominator, with many authentic, period Dunstall parts. The cost to buy and professionally restore a standard/stock-equipped Atlas is at least equal to the buy-it-now price. To duplicate this bike would no doubt be quite a bit more, assuming you had the time and could even find all the Dunstall items presented here. And if you don't like the Dunstall cosmetics (fairing, tank and seat), then simply replace them with readily-available Manx-inspired or stock pieces for a more traditional look, but still with the hot, Dunstall-ized motor, shouldered alloy wheels, Dunstall swept backs and silencers, and modified brake. The Motorcycle Mechanics magazine cover photo and the black and white 1966 Dunstall Dominator catalog photo are just to illustrate how close this bike is to the real, period Dunstall machine. This bike is in very good cosmetic and mechanical condition, with minimal use since restoration. There's some "shelf" wear here and there (see photos of two blemishes on the fairing lower and cracks on the right ear of the fairing upper, behind the windscreen). The bike could use a professional detailing, but is still very clean, showing just under 40 miles since restoration in the mid-80s by a former Norton dealer, who I purchased the bike from five years ago. The bike was serviced in 2012 by NYCNorton and the sale will include a new Yuasa battery. For a featherbed Norton twin with a stamped steel primary chain case, it's relatively oil tight (only a few drops after running). The large gap between the top of the rear wheel and the rear fender in the photos is just a result of the rear suspension being at full extension with the bike on its center stand. Off the stand, it has a tight, road-hugging stance. I encourage would-be buyers to inspect the bike personally. I have described what comes to mind as far as condition, but cannot be held responsible for every nick or scratch or stress crack; this is an older restoration.Special Equipment:Modified 2LS front brake (cooling scoop and ventilation holes)Borrani shouldered alloy wheelsDunstall swept backs and silencers, originals with name on the backDunstall 5-gallon fiberglass tankDunstall-type fairing and seatFloat bowl extensionsCarb velocity stacksDunstall high compression pistonsDunstall camDunstall headFinned alloy intake tractsRear sets, shift linkageAlloy fendersDunstall clip-ons and headlight brackets Girling shocksSmiths gauges5/16" chain adjusters (upgraded from 1/4" stock)Terms and conditions:The Atlas is sold on a clean, signed-over Massachusetts title. This is a near 50 year old motorcycle and no warranty is expressed or implied. It is sold as-is. Your bid or offer is a commitment to buy, not an option to buy, so please ask any questions before bidding/buying. I will not crate the bike, but I will make myself available to meet with the transporter of your choice. The bike is available for viewing by appointment in the NYC area; delivery is also possible within the Tri-State area, but coordinate this with me before bidding/buying. I reserve the right to end the auction early for any reason. Check my feedback and buy with confidence. Good luck!
