It was a one owner machine. Parked in the late 1990's. Have the Original sales receipt with correct vin number from 1975. Owners manual etc. Would make the perfect bike to restore. Matching numbers # 325374. Clear Title. Does not run. Turns over with great compression. 20,405 miles. Brakes will need to be bleed. Built in 12/74. Clear title. As for the condition of the bike i was say its in good condition. Looks to be complete. No damage on the motor, no broken fins etc. Gas tank and side covers have no dents. Gas tank has some tiny bubble spots on the paint. Inside of tank was lined at one time. Paint still looks very nice. The speedometer gauge has some fogging inside. No dents in the front fender. Front blinker lens is missing. Chrome does have some pitting and rust in spots. Mufflers look to be aftermarket. No holes or dents. Overall a great candidate with original sales receipts and documentation to restore. You receive what is pictured. Please see my other vintage motorcycles and parts. Also if you are looking for a certain pre 1985 motorcycle, just let me know! The bike is Sold as is. Email with Any questions. Please the payment must be made within 5 days of close of auction. Shipping is the buyers reasonability.

This is a solid 1974 norton commando (850 not 750 as the title implies couldn't change it) roadster, this bike has hipster and vintage appeal, upgraded electronics, converted to negative ground for increased reliability, tri spark ignition $$$, three phase alternator, tri spark single coil, anti sump valve, custom seat, good tires Kenda, good running has a mean sound to it with the dunstal type mufflers... It is a survivor that will rival the best vintage bikes in any bike night competition. Has 54,242 on the odometer, it marks its territory with oil from time to time as is common with Norton's it does much better on center stand or just being level. This bike is extremely fun and makes you feel like a champion. I am selling my beloved due to a Right Knee injury and kick starting it with my left has become awkward. It starts in one to two kicks always, just tickle the carbs... If she sells I will be sorry to see her go I have always been a Norton guy for some reason. I cannot ship this bike so local pick up only. I bought it from a guy in Minnesota in 2006 who had 20 triumphs and one Norton, he said he did a lot of work to it. I was 26 so I don't know if it was restored or if any work was done to the engine, sorry. I know that in the time I've owned it the electronics were fickle so I had it rewired to negative ground and put in top of the line electronics. It is now extremely reliable no longer chasing smoke from shorts. This bike is not of the show room floor but is a great stock Norton with little subtle upgrades to look see picts. Thanks any questions ask.

I am selling this for a friend. This is the owner's description: I am the 2nd owner of this beautiful 1974 850 Norton Commando MK IIa which only has 17,531 miles on the clock. There is a journal of records from the original owner that detail work that was done to the motorcycle. Much of the work has already been done to create a fast, reliable piece of British machinery. Electronic ignition-provides very easy starting. Flood the carbs when cold and the bike will start first kick when you are used to starting it.A high output alternator keeps the battery charged.High performance shocks improve the handling. The compression is very strong, the valve guides and head gasket were replaced shortly before I purchased the bike. The bike has had new isolastics and a Mark 3 timing chain adjuster.Stainless steel brake lines. The fork brace and hydraulic damper really helps stability and handling at higher speeds. All the lights and electrics work. Please note the horn has been removed from the bike for repair or replacement because it only worked intermittently. The horn will be included with the sale of this bike.I have owned the bike since 1991 and I have done less than a thousand miles on the bike. The bike has been properly stored for years. It has just been taken out of storage, given a tune-up with new oils, and plugs. A little oil was squirted on top of the pistons to insure lubrication to the rings and bores The engine was turned over with the plugs out to ensure oil has been pumped all the way around the engine before initial start up. The bike started up first kick after flooding the carbs to aid starting. The bike has full compression and is very fast. The bike has a brand new battery, the tires have very low mileage, and there is a new speedo drive gear on the rear wheel. The speedo cable works, but may need a replacement soon. The extensive handwritten journal detailing the bike's history as well as original Norton Riders Manual, Registration and Title will be sent along with the bike to the new owner. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a low mileage, well sorted 850 Norton Commando MKIIa to enjoy and ride. SHIPPING IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER.
