Bike has been sitting some time, Bodywork is in Excellent shape with the excepetion of the upper where the mirrors connect to the fairing mount. Unfortunately a board fell on the it years ago and cracked the mount points.Bike has been tastefully modified with FZR wheels, brakes and Performance pipes. I DO HAVE the stock wheels and stock pipes. Bike has not been started for years but was stored correctly in climate controlled room. There is only 4400+ - original miles on the bike. 1985 Yamaha RZ 500 in good except for the plastic which nee some attention. I recently purchased the bike this summer form Canada and rode it some with the intention of eventually restoring it. I realize I have to many other projects going on (I've had an RZ 350 in the garage now for about 7 years) and not enough garage space, so I'm starting to sell off some of my bikes. Everything on the bike works as it should such as horn, turn signals, lights, etc. The bike has a set of Nikon GP pipes on it and will come with stock pipes also. The bike will come with a spare rear wheel with a brand new tire on it. The bike will also come with some spare plastic in various states that will need repair work done on it. mattterri Store This is a very nice 1973 Yamaha RD350. The bike runs very well, starts on the 1st or 2nd kick. It idles nicely, and just the proper faint amount of 2 stroke smoke. It has 6037 miles on it as of today, but this may change a little, as I do ride this bike. It is too much fun not to ride. A lot of time and money has been put into this bike over the last 2 years. It has a professionally done very nice paint job, done in a similar scheme as a 73 Yamaha TX style. It is glass smooth and shines very nice (no orange peel, runs, or bad spots). The seat upholstery is original and in nice condition, with no rips or tears. The chrome is decent and looks nice, but it is 43 years old, and does have the usual light pitting as would be expected. There is one small scrape on the right muffler at the rear about the size of a dime (see pics). The bike has been fully serviced, and needs nothing at this time. The engine has excellent compression, no piston rattle noise, and runs very well. Clutch works properly, and trans shifts into all gears as it should. Below is a partial list of recent work performed and parts installed: 1. Front brake system flushed, caliper rebuilt with new seals, master cylinder rebuilt with new seals. 2. Gas tank cleaned and properly sealed with Caswell tank liner (will never rust, and will never flake loose like Kreem liners) 3. 1992 Yamaha SRV 250 RARE Japanese Market Cafe Racer Street Legal !! This is a 1992 Yamaha (late 1991 build) SRV 250. It was made for the Japanese market but also was briefly sold in Australia as well. I have never seen or heard of another one in the States. It has a clean and clear Arizona street title with plate and current tags. The Yamaha SRV was a bike designed to resemble a classic cafe racer around the same era as Honda's GB500/400/250. It is beautiful in its simplicity and classic lines with a great little V-twin engine! This bike is a blank canvas to start with for a great build project. It is mechanically very solid, low miles, nearly stock and already titled and plated. Bike was legally imported from Japan in compliance with DOT and EPA, has clean and clear AZ title with 2017 reg. I recently did a full service on the bike, complete carb rebuild with new parts, new fuel lines, new spark plugs, fresh oil change, fresh brake fluid and flush in front brake. Has a good battery, tires are older but decent tread, chain and sprockets are older as well but still have life left in them. The bike runs perfect, fires right off warm or cold, pulls clean from idle to red line and the bike rides, handles and stops great. The engine is derived from the Virago250, but has a different carb and cam setup and makes better power...for a 250 it is pretty quick and sounds great! Parts are easy to find from the Virago if need be. The rest of the bike is a lot of parts bin Yamaha. The bike is pretty much 100% stock except for the Supertrapp slip on exhaust, braided brake line, aftermarket handle bar and grips. (The grips should be replaced). There are some scratches on the tank, a decent size chip on the front fender and some corrosion on the engine cases. Overall this is a pretty clean example which is hard to find in Japan, not quite collector quality but would be great as a weekend rider, or base to build a very cool cafe bike and you will be the only one to have something like this at your local bike night! In my opinion, none are as compelling an addition to the perfectionist enthusiast stable, as this one. The aluminum-framed Japanese version, while very cool, was also regarded in the day as a flexy flier. Look at the cross section of today's aluminum framed 600cc/100HP class cycles for proportional comparison. Steel is stronger, less prone to failure, and more reliable - which is why Yamaha issued very few aluminum framed RZ500s, and all of them were 1st year Japan-only 1984s. Odometer fraud is exceedingly easy with early motorcycles (unthread speedo cable, and ride), and as we all know, the more owners, the more little gotchas and imperfections creep into old bikes. One machine offered for sale with unbelievably low "original miles" but never washed since new, ridden monthly and current registration ... c'mon. You don't need a car wash to do the job of a garden hose. "Get that filthy tired old bean-oil-smelling POS out of my living room" is likely a common spousal refrain. Every time you take a bike apart, it loses a little bit of something. Like taking apart and reassembling a notebook computer again and again and again. So here we are again, and this time, having figured out how to correct the listing errors, the price is also adjusted down to a real-world level. BASIC SPECS: A two-stroke, power-valve-equipped 347cc parallel twin with 26mm slide-valve Mikuni carbs, oil injection and six-speed transmission. A steel-tube frame with an aluminum swingarm rolls on 18-inch wheels with triple disc brakes. Its simplicity allowed it to be a light 371 pounds with the 5.2-gallon (!) gas tank half full. WHY IT’S DESIRABLE: The RZ350 is the most modern and last legal street-going two-stroke sold in the US. In the first full test, Cycle Workd July 1984 cover bike rated a “perfect 10” on the fun scale. On Jerry Branch’s dyno, the stock RZ350 made 42.7 hp at 9,000 rpm; redline is 9,500. The RZ350 turned in an impressive quarter-mile time of 13.19 seconds at 99.22 mph, and that was with the OE catalyst exhausts. Fun and nimble handling are improved with fitment of modern tires on those classic ’80s wheels. A surprising number of these bikes come up for sale at reasonable cost, but original, low-mileage examples in excellent condition can go for double blue book. Aftermarket parts support remains very good.

What an incredible time capsule! Runs flawlessly. Look at close up of carburetors, still has the factory idle screw setting. I have only owned this bike a short time but I did have the brakes flushed, tires changed and cable lubed. I have decided not to ride this bike because the mileage IS so incredibly low (2135). I have the original tires (pictured) and I have the dual seat cover (pictured). The only flaws are tiny and there are two of them on the tank (pictured). Inside the tank is a baffle, it has slight rust on it. This one has the red frame! Not sure how many came with the red frame.
