I am so tempted to buy this bike myself am listing for a good friend who is and has been a suzuki guy since the 70's, And He wants it to go to someone who will appreciate and not chop it up. Its all original barn find all he did was get it running and it runs super and rides great . Yes thats the original paint ect! its crazy the bike is 40 years old! super low miles the tires look about new and don't look weather cracked at all. Id say with a few hours elbow grease with mothers polish and chrome cleaner she would look pretty much new theres zero rust under the seat pan unheard of!, And yes you can see in the pics the aluminum will buff out with very little effort just minor corrosion with mothers it will shine like chrome!! there is some minor pitting on chrome id say most will come with with chrome polish. its like a time capsule. people who are looking at this now know exactly what this is they called these The giant killer why??? because they are super quick bikes and back in the day even the big honda 750's and kawasaki 900's feared these little devil 2 strokes lol. Price is more than fair. Really id enjoy buying this bike to put in my living room just to look at it . But what fun would it be to ride it to shows ect or just step back in time and ride it everyday. I bet you could even show some newer crotch rockets a thing or two lol. im 54 years old and remember when these awesome bikes were racing around. Shes sweet shes an awesome runner and she has a clear title, last on the road 1982 in NY shes in WI now .. You cant go wrong for the money . Shes pretty much like a new bike. I bet she'd even win a few trophies . Ask all questions before you buy. Need 250.00 non refundable deposit after purchase and rest in bank check or cash on pickup will work with your shipper on time for pickup.. Anyways im old school and so is friend im selling for. Hand shake and deal kinda guys . And once again boy does this bike look tempting, I just may end auction at anytime and buy it myself ? I reserve the right to end auction at anytime as word of mouth it may sell local. by me or someone else we know lol. you know you want her !! LOL I DO :)

Hydraulic clutch. Hyabusa master cyl and slave cyl (IIRC) excellent function. Self adjusting. 3. Dual front discs, drilled, all Yamaha parts except brake lines (ss) and hyabusa master cyl. 4. 1970 Yamaha R5 350 Original Excellent Condition Original Paint Matching numbers 2nd Owner Engine Number: R5 001902 Frame Number: R5 001902 This is a very original well cared for 1970 first year Yamaha R5 California bike. I bought it from the original owner 17 years ago in Napa, CA with 7,349 original miles on it. It had been in storage and not ridden in the 20 years prior to my purchase in 1998. I have put about 3,500 miles on it in 17 years. I own a vintage bike collection and rotate the bikes I ride and therefore I have not put too many miles on this R5. It has been a California motorcycle since 1970 and has it's original Blue California License plate currently registered with the DMV. I registered the bike as non-operated in 2014 and you will only need to transfer title and pay the current registration to put this bike back on the road in CA. If this bike is going to an out of state buyer I will keep the license plate. This bikes runs great and starts on the first kick. 1970 was the first year for what became the RD350. This is a Two-stroke engine with auto lube oil injection. Just put 2 stroke oil in the oil tank, gas in the gas tank and start. No pre-mixing necessary. This R5 runs like it should, shifts through all 5 gears smoothly and has that classic R5/RD 2 stroke engine ring-a-ding-ding sound as you accelerate up into it's power band. Although this bike is now 45 years old, it has very little wear on it due to it's low 10,800 original miles and runs very strong.Just about every part on the bike is original to this motorcycle including the original tool set. I did change the handlebars, hand grips, battery, spark plugs, drive chain, tubes and tires. I have the original handlebars with chrome in very good condition which will go with the bike. I will be happy to mount them on the bike if that is preferred by the new owner before pick up. I also have some flat rise "drag" bars I could swap for the low bars currently on the bike if the new owner doesn't want the original or low bars. The original tires were on the bike when I bought it but I replaced them due to their age 15 years ago. The Dunlop K81 rear tire currently on the bike is getting worn and could use a replacement in the next 1,000 miles. Pretty much the only original parts missing are the turn signals which had been removed by the previous owner and the headlight switch thumb knob. The headlight switch still works with the tip of the remaining part of the knob still protruding enough to operate. This is an easy fix, but never got around to it.Original candy Purple Paint is in excellent condition with no apparent fading. Guages are in excellent working condition with very little visible wear. There is some very light surface rust in some areas on the chrome, mostly limited to the rear shock springs. Original Paint on the frame is in very nice condition along with the tank and side covers and headlight bucket. There is a few very small wear spots on the top of the headlight bucket from the brake cable and clutch cables rubbing it.The original seat is in excellent condition with no rips or tears in the cover. Seat pan is clean with original factory stickers. Seat foam is soft and retains it's original shape. Chrome on headers, mufflers, fenders and wheels are in excellent condition. Overall, a really nice non abused surviving classic Yamaha two-stroke street bike that is ready to ride for many more years to come. Didn't think I would ever sell this bike, but I need to downsize my collection. Please look at pictures carefully and ask any questions you might have prior to bidding, I will be happy to answer any questions about this motorcycle. Shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder. I am happy to meet you for pick up or I am willing to be available to meet a door to door shipper. I can also bring the bike to a Forward Air terminal near San Francisco for a $75 additional fee or I will deliver the bike within 200 miles of San Francisco, CA for $150. Please, only bid if you are serious. Bidders with bad payment history will be rejected. A deposit of $200 must be made within 3 days of the end of auction. Remaining balance must be paid and funds cleared before pick up and within 5 business days of auction end. Payment by cash, wire transfer, personal check (after clears) or cashier’s check. Paypal o.k. on the deposit, but not on the balance. This is an antique motorcycle and is sold "as is." All sales are final. Thanks and good luck.

This is a very nice 1970 Yamaha R5 which is the first year for this race breed series of bikes that was known to easily out perform bikes of twice there displacement in their era . The R5 model evolved into the RD350 in 1973 when some updates were made but the bikes are very similar in overall performance and most of the major parts are interchangeable with the RD's. This bike was in pretty nice shape when I bought it, but it was professional repainted in the original color scheme, and the paint work quality is top notch The bike has had the top end of the motor freshen up with new gaskets and rings, the pistons and jugs were like new when inspected so they were just cleaned and NOS standard bore (OEM Yamaha) rings were installed with new gaskets while it was apart , the Clutch is new , transmission is fine with no signs of slop or excessive wear , new fluids and seals were installed , & the tires, tubes and battery are new. The rest of the bike was clean and polished the seat pan was sandblasted Epoxy painted and new repo seat foam and Quality OEM style cover (that matches the original vinyl grain) was installed. The speedometer cable was broken off in the speedo head when I got the bike and I could not get the broken cable out of the old speedo so the speedometer was replace with one I located in very good condition (nice chrome , face, lens, etc. ) but the mileage showing is not the actual miles on this bike. Based on the original speedo removed and what the prior owner knew about the bike the original mileage on the bike is likely around 12k , but most everything mechanical that mileage would relate to has been professionally inspected and serviced by an older Yamaha factory trained mechanic that did the work on the bike for me when I was restoring it. The bike starts easy & reliably and rides and performs as it should. This bike should provide years of reliable riding fun with reasonable care and maintenance everything works on it . I made a video with a link below so you can give it a virtual inspection, some additional detailing was done since the video was made and a nicer pair of original Yamaha passenger foot pegs were located & installed . Inspection and pick up in person is welcome , I would check U-ship for transport quotes if you interested in having it shipped, My location is easy access for large trucks and trailers on main road in 21042 help loading is no problem we have ramps etc. if needed Link of Motorcycle Running:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_2UFkeTUjQ Local Pick-up or buyer will have to arrange shipping.

Built from the ground up custom 1974 Yamaha RD350. This was built over a few years and took over $10,000 and several hundred hours of labor. Nothing was left alone. The engine was rebuilt, Fresh paint on the body parts, new hardware, new wiring and gauges etc. It has been grafted with 2008 Ninja 250 front and rear suspension and brakes. Makes for a classic looking two stroke with modern suspension and brakes. Rides excellent and stops like a motorcyle should! Bike had 8,000 miles before the rebuild. I've put ~50 miles on it.

1975 Yamaha Rd350 , This is a 2-stroke bike that I got about 3 years ago. It starts easy, runs, and rides. It is having an issue where it is sucking some oil from the crankcase up into the cylinders and I really just want to get something more modern that I don't have to work on as much and can ride longer distances. Since I got it I have replaced the tires, chain, sprockets, battery, complete front end(fork tubes, springs with actuators, tapered roller bearings). This has been a very fun bike that always starts conversations everywhere I go. $2,800.00 3364486456

Here it is. Wife says it can't stay in the Living Room anymore. You have been treated recently to some very nice examples of the Venerable Beast, the Giant Killer, The Widow Maker, however this is your chance to add a very rare example of the 1975 Yamaha RD350 too your collection. Bought from the owner of Reading Standard Motorsports in PA. who obtained in from the estate of the original owner. The bike was stored in a warm basement covered for 40 years. Everything functions as new. Currently in my Living Room nice and dry as it has been its whole life. No rust or pitting. Chrome and Paint almost perfect. Still has the one time original plate and inspection registered in PA. in 1975. Original Title in Hand. Original dealer decals on front fender, gas cap and taillight bracket. Original tool kit, spark plugs w/boxes and plastic pouch for registration under seat. Original tires that still look new as well . Impossible to replicate for this price. I have only put 10 miles on it and it runs as new. Front tire of course has a slight flat spot from touching the floor for 41 years which resulted in a bumpy ride. No matter as I can't imagine anyone riding this going forward anyway, your choice. 17th Annual Riding into History Award of Merit May 2016 World Golf Village, Florida. Right side pipe has 1-1.5" square scrape mark and tank has 2 or 3 barely perceptible dimples and 1 or 2 small scratches (see pics). As the story goes, and typical of so many early adopters of RD's, the original owner dropped it and scared the crap out of himself. The wife said he put it away after that and never rode it again. He passed away and voila it emerges again for our enjoyment. Happy Bidding. Don't hesitate to call with your questions. Rich@nine0four-4seven7-zero7nine9. LINK TO YOUTUBE VIDEO AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
