This is a one year only 1984 Honda CR500. It is ready to race. The starting drill is simple: lay it over and wait for fuel to leak out of the overflow, stand it up and kick it like you mean it. The first owner was a Honda 2 Stroke fanatic. Total motor rebuild with less than 2 tanks of fuel since burned since rebuild. Re-builder added a few things to tame this beast. Thicker head gasket and spacer between the carb and the Boyesen Reed cage. Brand new Keihin PWK 39.5 Carburetor. Shock just rebuilt, including new seals and bottoming bumper. Original tank and front fender. Has a DG pipe with no a blemishes, and what I think is the original silencer. The side panels and rear fender are replacements. Wheels are straight. Cr500 conversion street legal title. Everything new! Super fast and a wheelie monster, gets lots of attention and turns heads. It hardly has any time on it, just enough to jet the upgraded carb. You wont find another, just try! Frame: 2002 CRF 450 frame was stripped down and powder coated. Every single bearing and seal was replaced along with all accessories such as handle bar, levers, hardware, plastics, seat cover, grips, bar ends. Engine: The only thing that was reused on the engine was the case. Crank, piston, bearings, seals, water pump, clutches and basket, gaskets, hoses, engine side cover along with clutch and stator covers were all replaced. The cylinder was resleeved to standard size, the exhaust bridge was relieved and wiseco piston was drilled. The tranny was upgraded to a 93+ polished and treated set with longer 4th and 5th gears that cost $1600 by itself. FMF gnarly pipe and power core 2 silencer along with v force 3 reeds and a PWK 39.5mm carb which is the same carb that service honda put on their new cr500s. All new sprockets, chain, clutches, and performance clutch basket. Cylinder head was equipped with a decompression valve that makes starting this beast a breeze. Conversion: Excel supermoto wheels with talon hubs were installed with michelin rubber. EBC 320mm brake rotors and pads with new crf450 caliper which has bigger pistons. Suspension is 2004 crf450 reworked for supermoto and dropped 2 inches and a brand new rear shock with less than 10 hours. All LED lights and indicators with battery, charging stator, and horn. Has a vector digital display with RPM, speed, ambient and engine temp, as well as lap times and other features. I am missing a lot of stuff but you can contact me for more info or my build thread with tons of pictures. Im not rushing to sell the bike, just testing the waters since i have some school payments to make. You will not find a cleaner cr500 supermoto conversion, much less a street legal one. I looked for years to find a street legal AF and have put over 11 grand in this build and thats before you even add any labor. Please make sure you have positive feedback before you contact me or make an attempt to purchase.

I purchased this bike from the original owner. He said that the bike was ridden occasionally (maybe 1-2 times a year). When he bought the bike in 2001 he had an N-Style graphic kit and seat cover installed. I installed OEM shrouds rear fender, front number plate, and side number plates because I had them in stock. Still original front fender and is in excellent shape and the original owner still had this original seat cover that we recovered the seat with. To retain the bikes originality I did not change the front tire or chain and sprockets because they came from the factory and they are a reference to how much use the bike has . Please review the Condition description and the photos for the details. Also noticed there is some engraving on the left side of the cylinder head, Not sure what it is reference to, The original owner said it was the original top end??? The bike runs and rides excellent. Please Study the pictures, Just took these photos on 12/14/15. If requested I can send a video of the bike running to your phone or email. Hello to all that are about to look at a FULLY RESTORED, First year CR-500. Honda started the big-bore in 1981, that was a 450, next two years it sported the 480 badge! Jump forward to 1984, they went back to the drawing board, to come up with the first CR-500, last air cooled monster. I started with a LOW HR. bike, took it down to the bare frame, primed, sprayed with OEM color auto paint, not cans! Next was the engine, replaced all of the seals, pulled the top-end off, was still on it's stock bore, I gave it a fresh bore, 1st over wiseco top-end was used, it got boyseen reeds, new dirt digger clutch kit, next was off to the front forks, new bushings sliders, seals, with fresh oil, head set got greased up, new rubber bar stays, off to the rear shock, fresh oil and nitrogen, swing arm greased up with all of it's linkage. The body is still sporting it's OEM plastics, vented tank decals, I went with blue backgrounds and blue fork boots, new OEM seat cover, foam was still nice. This bike is such a low-hr bike, it still have the stock honda rear sprocket, I do have a new "O" ring chain, I did take the pictures with out it, In one picture, I did remove the kick starter to show a close up of the engine. Carb was sonic cleaned, new float valve, gasket, and jetted perfectly crisp. This CR is sporting it's factory pipe still, almost perfect! DG silencer, A perk, who ever wins this beauty has the choice of the stock pipe "OR" a new DG pipe, she still has the OEM air scoops, and they DO keep it cool!! air box boot is still soft, and has a Twin-air air filter. I put my heart, sole, and money into this, I am only selling because I purchased a 1982 Kawasaki KDX-450 here on E-bay, I am getting older, and need to start trail ridding at a slower pace, an update for everyone, parts are readily avaliable!!!!! pistons, rods, seals, clutch, cables, exc.exc. unlike my new found KDX. I will work with any shipper, I would suggest U-ship, very fair on there prices. Good luck to everyone, someone will have a bike to be proud of for show, or to ride and enjoy!!!! Sorry about the dust, you will be the first to fire her up, no fuel was added to her after restoration, you will need to brake her in for the first ride! Also has new tires, back has two rides on it, new chain guide and swing arm slider, new rear brake shoes and new front brake pads. Thank You to all, Good luck!!

I bought a complete cr500 and this roller was included in the sale. I have a clean CA title in hand. Everything you see in the pics is included. Original honda factory fenders. the bottom of the frame is not bent up or scrapped bad. there is a mark on the swing arm (see pic) from a chain derail, that might be why there is no motor..... This is the last year of the Honda big bore and they are getting rare. complete 2001 cr500s are worth 3k+ so if anyone has a motor sitting around here is a good opportunity. I have a clean title on hand. Please feel free to call me at 951-531-7068 with further questions. Note CA Buyers: The last green sticker on it is from 2007. I am not sure if there are any late penalties due to the state of CA upon transferring the title. If your buying from another state then no fees apply. Buyer is responsible for shipping. This is an "as is" sale, no returns or refunds. If paying with a check, money order, paypal, Bike will be realeased 5 days after payment clears my account to avoid scams.

This is a super clean 1997 Honda CR 500!!!! Cleanest one around! I purchased this bike with very low hours from the original owner to build a nice vintage racer and conversation piece. No cost was spared, no corners were cut in building this bike. Bike was completely stripped to the frame, cylinder removed to inspect piston and rings and cylinder; all of which show little to no wear whatsoever. 3 cylinder studs were rusty from the water jacket, they were removed and replaced. Main clutch cover removed to inspect clutch, which was in perfect condition, no basket grooves, and plates still look new. New gaskets were installed on head, cylinder base, reed plate, clutch covers, and ignition cover. All parts were disassembled and cleaned/lubed, including all rear linkage, and steering stem bearings. All bearings were in great shape to begin with. If there was a part that I was not happy with the way it cleaned up, I simply ordered new parts from Honda. This bike got all the attention it ever needed and more, and was built to be a race bike. The biggest component to this bike is the custom Enzo suspension setup by Craig Decker. These bikes are pure beasts, but if they don't handle well, they aren't worth the metal they are made out of! So Craig completely rebuilt it, with new springs for a 190 to 220 lb Novice to Intermediate MX rider, complete custom valving on both the shock and the forks, and all new internals including all seals and bushings. Awesome power and suspension needs great stopping power, that's why I added a complete front brake from a 2012 CRF 450 with the updated reservoir and lever. Many many details involved in building this bike, please see below for complete build list, keep in mind that I had help from a local shop as well as well known vendors to complete this project. Most of these parts were acquired 25 to 30 percent off retail, this total would be much much more if no help was received. I have let a few friends ride it while we were out to get some feedback. I love the bike, it is a pure beast!!!!! It starts easy, and has more than enough power. It handles absolutely amazing. Tracks well in corners (what can I say, its a Honda) stable at high speeds, and handles the chop like no other!!!! Click here (or copy and paste in new window) for a quick video of me starting and running the bike: https://www.dropbox.com/home?preview=20150728_174850.mp4 My buddies were impressed with how well they could actually ride the 500, when they learned to get off the clutch that is! They were all ranting and raving about the power, but mostly impressed with how well it handled. I really hate to let this one go, but I have had my fun and it is time for other projects.... Bike will be sold with original Texas title from the original owner along with a bill of sale. If you require the title to be in my name for any reason, for example, cross border shipping/customs, that cost will be your responsibility. 100.00 deposit required immediately. Thanks for looking!!!!!
