This bike offers a great value to anyone looking to add to their airhead collection or pick up a ready to ride vintage touring bike with only 22,000 miles. The bike was purchased and ridden in the early 1980s and then stored until 2013. In Spring 2013 the bike was sent to Heid's Hodaka in Eastern NY to be restored to running order. After $4600 of parts and professional labor, the bike has racked up only a couple summer rides since. I have replaced the valve covers, exhaust, battery and rear rotor since then. Additionally, I had the right valve cover, front cap, timing case cover, top cover and fairing support rod powder coated for maximum longevity. The bike comes with original hard cases, a spare left and right valve cover, and record of the maintenance performed during the overhaul at Heid's. Mechanically, this bike is sound. *Runs great**No issues shifting**Front and rear brakes work**All lights function**All parts present (including the underseat tool kit)**Odometer at 22,XXX*Aesthetically, the bike is not as showroom perfect as some of the other tenderly loved airheads you might find. The paint has small flecks missing and there are some scratches on the fuel tank. It runs great though, and I'd still be using it as an occasional weekend outing toy if I wasn't moving across the country and downsizing my life. It has a lot of life left in it and would be a great bike for anyone looking to get into touring with cost effective option.

1994 Yamaha Gts1000 , 1994 Yamaha GTS 1000A in exceptional condition. Set up for touring with Eclipse saddle, tank, and trunk bags (see pics). New lithium battery. 12v pigtail, Laminator Lip, Throttle-stop, Corbin seat (have stock seat also). Newer Michelin Pilot Roads with plenty of tread left, Zaino paint protection, extra air filters, and full set of factory manuals with supplements! Currently on NonOp since end of July b/c of personal issues better left unstated. Having ridden and owned my share of great bikes since 1966 (Hodaka, BMW R-75/5, Benelli 650 Toronado, Aprilia Futura, Ducati Desmo etc.), I can say without question this is the most unflappable bike I've ever owned. Nothing fazes it. Never a need for mid corner corrections; goes where it's pointed PERIOD. Has to be experienced to understand. Had been looking for "the one" and when this came up & after speaking to the previous owner, I knew I had to have it. Purchased in May of 2012 from a level 2 Honda mechanic, flew up to Sacramento and dead headed back to Palm Springs with nary a hiccup.
