It featured an air-cooled 345 cc (21.1 cu in) two-stroke parallel-twin engine, which produced 37 hp (27.6 kW; 37.5 PS) at 7,500 rpm, and could hit a claimed top speed of 95 mph (153 km/h). Approximately 9,000 units were built. It was the last motorcycle built by the company, as they opted to focus on producing tires instead. Introduced in 1967, the 350 GTR was, for its time, a middleweight displacement motorcycle, and used an air-cooled 345 cc (21.1 cu in) two-stroke parallel-twin engine, which produced 37 hp (27.6 kW; 37.5 PS) at 7,500 rpm. Although a mostly conventional design, the engine featured a rotary disc-valve induction system, allowing more precise management of the gasses inside the engine than traditional piston-port systems did. Two of these disc valves were used (one per cylinder), and a 26 mm Mikuni carburetor was bolted to each one.The six-speed gearbox was also a plus point, as was the ability for the 350 GTR's riders to use either their left foot or their right foot to change gear; the gear lever and rear brake pedals could be swapped around in order to allow this. However, the gearbox did cause issues for some riders, as neutral was located in an unusual place; at the top of the gearbox, as most motorcycles placed this gear between first and second. Chassis-wise, the 350 GTR was fairly conventional, as it used a steel twin-cradle frame, gaitered front forks with twin shock absorbers at the rear, 19" wheels and drum brakes. As Bridgestone were not known for their motorcycles, the public were generally skeptical about the 350 GTR, and the bike's high price (close to the much bigger Triumph Bonneville) meant that sales were low; just 9,000 bikes were built between 1967 and 1971. This would be the last motorcycle that Bridgestone ever produced. However, reviewers both past and present have generally been very positive about the motorcycle. Cycle praised the bike's engine, transmission and brakes, also stating that "Never before have so many advanced features been incorporated into a single package." Cycle World praised the bike's styling, its comfortable riding position, and stated that it was "as big and as fast as any 500." Roland Brown of Motorcycle Classics praised the bike's usability, and the responsive nature of the engine. Accelerating out of a curve with the two-stroke engine revving hard, sun gleaming off the chromed tank and a high-pitched exhaust note providing a vivid soundtrack, it’s easy to understand why the 1967 Bridgestone 350 GTR was widely regarded as one of the best Sixties middleweights around. It’s also a bit sad to think that this model was the high point for a firm that abandoned motorcycle production shortly after it was built. The Bridgestone 350 GTR was one of the most sophisticated Japanese motorcycles of the Sixties, featuring a disc-valve induction parallel twin engine as well as generally high quality construction. Almost three decades after it was built, this immaculate GTR impresses with its neat looks, crisp performance and reliable handling. Yet only a few years after this bike rolled out of the factory in 1967, Bridgestone not only ceased production of the GTR but gave up making motorcycles altogether to concentrate on the Bridgestone tires for which the Japanese company is still well known. After riding the twin, that decision seems strange, although it makes more sense when you realize that the little two-stroke was expensive, costing as much as a Triumph Bonneville in some markets. The GTR was good all right, but in most people’s minds it wasn’t that good. Most motorcyclists were unconvinced about the appeal of the relatively little-known Japanese company and its flagship two-stroke twin, with the result that relatively small numbers of GTRs were sold before production ended in 1971. Induction production The most notable aspect of the 350 GTR’s 345cc parallel twin engine was its rotary disc-valve induction system, which allowed much more precise control of gasses than the more simple piston-ported design being used by rival two-stroke roadsters. Ironically, Bridgestone’s Japanese rival Suzuki had considerable experience racing disc-valve two-strokes, but the firm’s 250cc Super Six roadster, also a two-stroke twin, was piston-ported. Suzuki’s experience dated back to 1961, when MZ factory racer and engineer Ernst Degner defected from East Germany, bringing his team’s secrets with him and passing them on.Bridgestone’s twin used a disc valve (one for each cylinder) on each end of its crankshaft, with a 26mm Mikuni carburetor bolted outside each valve. Another neat feature was the “piggy-back” alternator, situated above the engine rather than at the end of the crankshaft, making the GTR unit quite slim despite its side-mounted carbs. Peak output was normally claimed to be 37hp at 7,500rpm, although a figure of 40hp was also quoted in some materials. The GTR’s advanced engine features did not end with its induction. Lubrication was by a Yamaha-style pump-operated system, to which Bridgestone added the refinement of inspection windows for both engine and gearbox oil. The GTR impressed with its six-speed gearbox, and with its facility to swap the gear lever and rear brake pedals to give a left- or right-foot gearchange, both of which were commonly used at the time.Generally the GTR is very easy to ride, and responsive through the rev range, with no evidence of the two-stroke power step that I’d expected. With 40hp on tap (assuming you accept the higher of Bridgestone’s claimed figures for the GTR) the twin is hardly powerful by modern standards. But it is still lively enough to be fun, and to make me understand why the model impressed most people who rode one in the late Sixties.Back in the day, the Bridgestone’s revvy engine and light weight of just over 350lb made the two-stroke a match for almost any bike off the line: Bridgestone quoted a standing quarter-mile time of 13.7 seconds. And even though it wasn’t really as quick as that, the GTR provided plenty of acceleration away from the lights — and if the front wheel did come up occasionally to produce that Sixties rarity of a wheelie, I can’t imagine many wide-eyed owners would have complainedUnfortunately for Bridgestone, the GTR’s quality came at a high price, for in most markets the bike cost considerably more than rival Japanese two-strokes, and it was competing directly with larger-engined four-strokes. It also faced resistance from riders who were dubious about a high-performance two-stroke’s reliability. This concern was not unreasonable, given the problems that early engines had with oil seals, and with broken air filter parts being sucked into the engine.Relatively small numbers were sold following the model’s U.S. introduction in 1966, and the GTR also failed to trouble the sales charts in Europe when it was released there in the following year. By 1968 Bridgestone was coming under pressure from rival Japanese companies, which were also customers for its tires, Bridgestone’s most important product; bikes were really only a sideline. The story goes that Honda applied pressure, suggesting that if Bridgestone wanted to continue supplying the huge numbers of tires Honda purchased, it should consider its priorities. Shortly afterwards, Bridgestone quit bike manufacture to concentrate on tires. “But if the brakes are good, the engine/transmission unit is fantastic. Never before have so many advanced features been incorporated into a single package. It is so good, in fact, that only a real technician can fully appreciate all of the details.” — Cycle, August 1967“The Bridgestone is a big motorcycle. The 33-inch seat height has a lot of people tippy-toeing to retain balance at a stop sign. And once you’re rolling, you’re very aware that it is indeed a long way to the ground. The wheelbase, at 54 inches, is longer than that of many 650s.” — Cycle, December 1970“The styling of the Bridgestone 350 is cetainly not going to hurt sales for this new model. We consider it to be one of the handsomest roadsters in all of motorcycling, with a superbly successful blending of Japanese smoothness and English cobbiness. Further, it’s, as we’ve said before, a full-size motorcycle, as big and as fast as any 500 — and considerably faster than most. The seating and control layout are exceptionally comfortable for the average or larger rider.” — Cycle World, August 1967“Bridgestone built the motorcycle line up gradually, and in the summer of 1967 tossed a major player into the booming middleweight sweepstakes — the GTR. Grand Touring Roadster? Great Track Racer? Nobody ever really explained the initials, but that was ok. It was a 350, and this was a hot item in that long-ago era.” — Rider, July 1997

THIS AUCTION IS FOE A 1971 BRIDGESTONE 350 GTR TWIN. THE MOTOR IS LOCKED UP FROM SITTING BUT IS 100% COMPLETE. THIS IS A VERY RARE HARD TO FIND MOTORCYCLE. IT HAS A 2 CYLINDER , TWO STROKE MOTOR WITH TWIN CARBS AND ROTARY VALVE INTAKE SYSTEM. THIS WOULD BE A GREAT MOTORCYCLE TO RESTORE. DRUM BRAKES FRONT AND REAR. I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL KEY IN THE IGNITION SWITCH AND A ORIGINAL TRANSFERABLE REGISTATION AND A BILL OF SALE. I DO NOT HAVE A TITLE BECAUSE OF THE YEAR AND VERMONT DOES NOT REQUIRE TITLES ON MOTORCYCLES OVER 15 YEARS AND WILL NO ISSUE ONE. THE GAUGES ARE IN GOOD SHAPE. THIS IS A TRUE BARN FIND IN NORTHERN VERMONT. I HAVEN'T TOUCHED IT. I WILL LEAVE THAT UP TO THE BRIDGESTONE PROS.I can get a title if needed for export for a $200 fee but the transferable registration I have should be fine in all states I HAVE ADDED SOME INFORMATION FROM DIFFERENT WEBSITES AT BOTTOM: BRIDGESTONE 350 GTR Here's what one leading motorcycle magazine said when they tested the 350 GTR: "The engine/transmission unit is fantastic ... It is so good, in fact, that only a real technician can fully appreciate all the details." Another said this, "As big and as fast as any 500—and considerably faster than most." Six speeds, 40 HP, oil injection, dual rotary valves are only part of the story. Your Bridgestone dealer will show you a host of design innovations that make the 350 GTR unlike anything you've ever seen or ridden. See him today. Bridgestone 350 GTR has it all! There are a lot of factors to consider when you're ready to move up to a larger displacement motorcycle. At the top of the list are performance and reliability. When we introduced the Bridgestone 350cc dual rotary valve twin engine, we were years ahead of our time. Since then, we've added refinement after refinement until what you get today is a turbine-smooth 40 horsepower package combining high performance and long life. (We're still the only maker offering quick-cooling aluminum alloy cylinders with low friction chromed bores as standard equipment.) Because of its comfort and size, the 350 GTR is probably the best touring bike in its class. It has all the goodies: a really rugged racing tach, oil injection, an extra-roomy saddle, fade-free brakes, dry clutch, adjustable cables, grab-rail, and more. And best of all, it has price. Check it at your dealer's. You'll agree, Bridgestone 350 GTR has it all. www.bridgestonemotorcycle.com www.bridgestonemotorcycleparts.com MPG: 45 (est.) Up for grabs is a rare first year 1968 Honda CL350 Motorcycle. This bike came off the line in 1968, and is titled as a 1968. Clean, clear Michigan title provided with sale. Frame # 1008489 Engine # 1009759 This bike was purchased locally. It was then taken to a reputable Honda dealership that specializes in vintage Hondas, so that they could go over the motor and replace gaskets and getting it running as it should be! Below, I have tried to dissect the bike's condition so that you have a better idea of what you are bidding on. Please view pictures closely! Tank – Nice condition tank with original paint. Badges are all present, and in good condition. Original gas cap, also in good condition. Inside of tank is VERY clean, with little to no rust. It has some chipping up near the steering stem, and also a few small scratches. Wheels – Both wheels are in very good condition. No bends or dents evident. Some very very slight surface rust appears on a few of the spokes and throughout the wheels. Exhaust - The exhaust on this bike is unfortunately cracked near where the pipe meets the muffler (see pic). The rest of the exhaust system is very clean and solid. Tires – Both tires are in good condition. Bridgestone 5703 and 5704. May be original tires? Tons of tread left, and no major signs of dry rot or cracking. Grips – Grips are in fair condition. Throttle side is very nice still, clutch side is more worn, and has a hole in the end of it. Gauges – Although the tachometer and speedometer are both in great physical condition, neither one functions correctly. The speedometer does not move at all, while the tach will bounce in high rpm whenever the bike is running. On that note, both gauges are in near perfect condition. The trim rings have no rust, and faceplates are not faded or cracked. I debated on purchasing working gauges to include with the bike, but decided to leave the old ones on there since they match the title, and are original to the bike. Side covers – Both side covers are in excellent condition, original paint, and have no cracks or missing pieces. Battery – Brand new battery installed. Stands - Both the side stand and center stand are present Seat - Original seat , with original cover. Cover has a hole in it near the tank (see pics) Electronics - Front and rear signals are all in good condition with no cracked or missing lenses. Brake light, headlight and signals all work. The horn also works. Fork Ears - Both original paint, but both have cracks in the paint as if the headlight was tweaked at some point in the bikes life. 1972 MICHIGAN PLATE Included with the bike. The bike starts instantly (a little choke when it's cold), runs and rides very well. Hop on and go! A large amount of money was spent at the dealership to get this bike running the way it should be, saving you from having to spend the money in the future. It is not perfect. You will find some scratches on the tank as mentioned above, throughout the frame and other random places. It will have some surface rust on parts of the bike. With that being said, it is a complete , original, VERY NICE bike. It is a true head turner, and this is your chance to own it! Buyer is responsible for any costs associated with transporting the bike. Depending on the time, I will more then likely be available to assist loading it. A $200.00 deposit through Pay Pal is due immediately after auction ending. The balance can be paid in cash , or cashiers check within 7 days (the bike will not be released until the funds have cleared). Please see my positive selling history so that you can be confident with what you are bidding on. Good luck!

Bridgestone 1966 DT175 Twin cylinder, automatic oil injection, twin carbs, dual transmissions, dual rotary valve engine. Manufactured in the 60's by BRIDGESTONE TIRE CO. As the legend is told, with the success of Honda in the American market, Bridgestone Tire Co. decided to enter the motorcycle craze by manufacturing a twin cylinder, two stroke that was a very innovative bike for its' time! Twin cylinder, twin carbs, (totally enclosed) twin transmission, a 4 speed for city and 5 speed for hwy. automatic oil injection, no more mixing. After 5-6 years, so told, Honda, Yamaha, and Kaw. went to Bridgestone and said " we are buying all our bike tires from you, now do we need to build our own tire plant or do you want to be in the motorcycle or tire business!" So Bridgestone phased out the motorcycle production, The bikes were built in their tire plants and they had never developed the dealerships like Honda. They were innovative bikes for their time, chrome cylinders, more chrome on the bikes, can be started in gear, etc. This is a early 1966 DT175 model that was found in storage since 79' or 80'. The 175 was equal to the Honda 350 in power and take off! The bike is quick! It is an all original bike as found with the following exceptions, I cleaned it up, installed new battery, plugs, changed the fluids etc. and got it to running. Tires are old and need replaced! I replaced the seat cover, the foam, padding and underlining cover were in excellent shape. I have had bike at 70+ MPH and it gets up quick! but with old tires and an old man....well they don't mix. Lights work HI/LOW, excellent brakes, taillight, brake lights, horn and is a great handling bike! THE BAD: (1) I am not a two-stroke guy, so my abilities are limited! (2) The bike does smoke on the right side (its' 2 stroke) and blow a little oil out the right pipe. From research on excellent site for these bikes, "Richard's Relics -Bridgestone" the old school guys tell me that it is the rotary seal that is letting oil by-pass from the crank case, an easy fix so they say. I will include a new seal for the buyer. I will include a copy of a 1966 DT175 owners manual, a Bridgestone service manual, a parts manual, parts catalog manual, various service letters, Clymer service manual for the DT 175. Sold on a BILL OF SALE w/original title still in original owners name. Shipping is on the buyer but I will assist your shipper. NO WARRANTY implied, expressed, consented orally, verbally or shape form or fashion, sold AS IS, WHERE IS! Full payment by cash, certified funds, money order, etc. before bike leaves my possession. PayPal for deposit and full payment IF BUYER pays the additional PayPal fees

Peak power of 46hp from the 350cc, 28.5kg engine puts the FE 350 on the same level as bigger 450cc competitors. The 57.5 mm stroke and 88mm bore allow for large diameter valves. The 36.3mm titanium intake and 29.1mm exhaust valves weigh only 22.4g and 22.7g each respectively, and are operated by DLC coated finger followers. 2011 KTM SX 350 F, This lightweight yet powerful 4 stroke can hang with the 450s and handle like the 250s!!2011 KTM 350 SX-F It was engineered to attract both racers and recreational dirt bike riders seeking a happy-medium between the agility and high-revving performance of a 250F and the brute power and versatility of a 450F. After spending a day at the controls of it at Southern California s fabulous Pala Raceway, we are impressed with the hybrid qualities of this unique off-road motorcycle. ENGINE As the nomenclature implies, the 350 SX-F uses a liquid-cooled 4-stroke single-cylinder engine. The piston slides 57.5mm inside the 88.0mm cylinder bore which equates to exactly 349.7cc of combustion volume placing it right in between that of a 250F and 450F machines. Fuel is compressed to a ratio of 13.5:1, which is the highest measurement of any KTM off-road bike and signifies the potential VideosOur Sponsor 2011 KTM 350 SX-F First Ride Video Click to view video Watch the the 350 SX-F in action as we tear it up at Pala Raceway in our 2011 KTM 350 SX-F First Ride Video. for serious engine performance across its 13,000-rpm rev range. Other hot-rod techniques include the dual camshafts driving the four titanium valve-equipped cylinder head. Similar to the 250 SX-F, the 350 uses a dual-pump engine lubrication system. It also employs a balance shaft which acts as a water pump and camshaft drive thereby reducing engine vibration while helping to maintain petite engine dimensions. Also shared between models is the Keihin electronic fuel-injection system. The system makes use of a single fuel injector that sprays into a 42mm throttle body. There is no fast idle or choke/cold-start knob and the system automatically meters fuel/air ratio based on atmospheric conditions. Spent fuel is passed through a stainless-steel header (without a head pipe-mounted external resonator) and a long aluminum muffler. 2011 KTM 350 SX-F First Ride The 350 SX-F features a liquid-cooled 4-stroke 349.7cc single with a 88 X 57.5mm bore/stroke and the highest compression ratio amongst KTM off-roaders at 13.5:1. The FI system is powered directly by the AC generator and capacitor (attached to the throttle body). As soon as the battery-powered starter button is pressed enough electricity is generated to power the fuel-injection system. While there isn t a conventional kick start lever, it is available as a PowerPart accessory, though we wonder why you d ever consider its fitment with the convenience of a handlebar-mounted push button electric start. Additional PowerPart accessories come in the form of a Map Select Switch and User Setting Tool that allow the rider to adjust engine mapping on the fly with the handlebar-mounted Map Select Switch a first for the motocross bike world or with your computer via the User Setting Tool. Power is transmitted to the 110-series Bridgestone M70 rear tire t

2011 KTM 350 SX-F, like new 2011 KTM 350 SXF with the 2012 FI mapping to the computer. Replaced throttle with a GR2 throttle tamer to make the bike less aggressive, it has the 20% throttle reduction plate in, that and improves the throttle feel and response at lower speeds. I was using the bike for trail riding, Brooksville, and L cross. Have less then 15 hours on the bike. The rear sprocket was replaced with a renthal sprocket which has an extra tooth over stock. The graphics package is placed over lightly used stock plastics that have no rips, tears or deep scratches. The logos are with my favorite JagerMeister sponsor badging. I also mounted an hour meter which acts like a tach when the engine is running. I replaced the front tire with a Bridgestone M103 (sand and deep mud) tire, due to the sandy terrain in south florida, it is in near new condition. The stock front tire and a spare air filter are included with all original paperwork and manuals . Both the transmission and fuel line recalls have been done. The bike, I bought in Pennsylvania, which does certificate of ownership, not title, this with a bill of sale can be transferred to title format if your state titles off road vehicles. $4,500.00 Call: 9548020442 Notice: all transaction and text messages promising PayPal payment with overage for shipping will be sent to PayPal Fraud, They are warning that this is a form of fraud.
