for sale is a 1981 Yamaha XJ550RH Seca in good running and driving condition, good tires, new battery, has been painted blue (not best job), seat needs cover but foam core is good, has a single disc front brake and a drum rear, all lights and blinkers work, right mirror is cracked all chrome in good shape. engine runs strong, no smoke, will need chain and sprockets soon, has open after market open air cleaners and 4 into 1 Viper shorty exhaust loud and proud sounding. This is a 1982 Yamaha XT 550. It starts and runs excellent, shifts correctly, clutch works fine.It is in overall very good condition given the year. It is NOT a museum piece or NOS!! What does it need..?? 1) it will need a battery 2) the baffle is rusted out of the silencer 3) rear brake shoes 4) The gas tank has a pin hole leak. It is not wet or dripping. It is slightly " damp " in that area. That area can bee seen in the pictures. ( it is very repairable ) 5) There is NO TITLE. I will gladly give you notarized bill of sale. 6) Choke cable needs replacing. The good stuff... oh ya here we go! 1) it has excellent compression ( you need a STRONG LEG! ) 2) rear tire has about 90% tread front about 75% 3) Still has all the original lighting and instrumentation. Although the tail light bulb will need replacing. 4) it is a real BALL TO RIDE!! This thing pulls like a mule!!... in ANY GEAR I encourage anyone with an interest to come look at it in person and take it for a short ride. It is located in Baldwinsville, NY 13027 Shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer. I will help you or your shipper load it up. Selling my 1982 XT550. Health conditions have kept me from enjoying this classic thumper and that is a shame. The 550 was only made for two years (82 and 83) and is a true collector’s bike. Over-all it is in good condition, however it has been sitting for a couple of years in my garage. On the minus side: It will most likely need carb work from sitting (issue with rapid acceleration) The speedo stopped working recently The tach has come apart but most likely an easy fix There are a few dents and scratches on the tank (See pictures). Will need battery - new but been sitting Missing left side cover – cosmetic On the plus side: The seat is super clean and the frame is straight Kick start only Automatic compression release for easier start Tires in great condition Inside tank very clean Starts right up This bike is current on registration (Street legal) in New Mexico with a clean title and with a little TLC it will be ready to roar again. Yamaha XT550 1982 XT550 very low original mileage. Recent professional repairs to carburetor and new voltage regulator. New chain, new tires, "up one" on front sprocket. Runs really well. Has newer "Barkbuster" hand guards. Paint and all plastic original. Shows some weathering due to occasional storage outside. Starts 2-3rd kick (once you figure it out).

I have a 1982 xt 550 for sale. It has 8900 miles and is in pretty good shape. All lighting works and is currently registered till 2015. Clear title in hand. Could use front brake shoes and possibly throttle cables, but works as is. Also, the choke cable is possibly the wrong one , but i just pull it by hand. Starts pretty easily when you know what to do. Has a super trap muffler otherwise pretty stock bike. I get lots of looks and compliments when i ride it.

2012 Yamaha Super Tenere, one owner, I purchased new in May 2013. I have all service records including every oil and filter change, mileage at tire changes, etc. This bike has been taken great care of, garage kept, always covered. If you want a world tourer or a daily grocery getter, this bike does it all. Great street performance, great dirt road performance, ultra-reliable and low maintenance cost. You will be hard pressed to find a better bike for the money and really hard pressed to find a used bike that has had the break-in procedures followed to a tee, always warmed up before being ridden, and had the oil and filters changed religiously like I have done to this one. To the specifics, the bike has less than 10k miles, most of which were ridden on 7-8 trips which were mostly highway or mountain roads. I have added only the best accessories. There are a few dents on the Touratech boxes and the skid plate has done its job and has a few scratches on it. Both are in great serviceable condition and the boxes stayed dry on my last trip which was last spring. New Metzler Karoo 3 tires installed with less than 50 miles on them. My plans have changed and I am no longer able to take those trips that I had dreamed of, so you get a great deal on a great bike. Touratech Rapid Trap Top Case shown in pics not inlcuded with sell of bike at asking price as I will use it on another bike. I will sell for an additional $400 (cost $550 new).
