I have run out of time to keep working on this. I've put an enormous amount of work into this Silverwing: - The bike was completely stripped down and the frame, swingarm and most other steel parts powdercoated. - Engine stripped down and honed, new rings - Camshaft was restored by Web Camshafts in California - New Starter clutch gear, starter clutch housing and springs - New cam chain - Clutch basket "fingers" all filed smooth with all new clutch plates (both steel and friction) - New swingarm bearings - New All Balls tapered steering stem bearings - Wiring repair on the connector from the alternator - Electronic speedometer - New tires - Probably other stuff I'm forgetting.. The bike was a mess when I picked it up, definitely years of neglect. Someone even had a Honda CB550 clutch basket in this poor thing, it took me a week to figure that one out. There's a little over 400 miles on this since I rebuilt it and the last time I had it out riding was yesterday. There were a few issues I was still working out. - An occasional clunk during shifting. I believe it's coming from with the driveshaft or the rear end gear. - Speedometer reads low occasionally. Odometer stays accurate though. - Blew a fork seal on the right fork. - Could use a better kickstand Included is the rear seat which was a choice opposed to the trunk that's on it now. You could have a trunk or rear seat with this but not both at the same time. I also have a complete CX650 motor that is included in the auction. With that motor comes a GL650 output shaft, which according to what I have read, was the only difference between the CX and GL 650 motors. Plenty of stuff here to keep you busy for a while. It's 100% as-is/where is with no warranty. Consider it a project bike that you will need to do some work on.

Greetings- Offered is my 1983 Honda GL 650 Silverwing Interstate. Bike has LOW mileage for the year. Has a new rear tire, GEL battery, fork seals.. Fresh oil change, and coolant flush. All this spring!. Bike runs and rides as new.. Tank is clean inside, NO rust. Factory exhaust is in super condition. Still has the factor tool kit underneath the seat. Seat is also like new.. Been garaged pretty much it's whole life.. Paint is good to be 31 years old. I DO NOT have the rear trunk, but I have the factory backrest & 6 pack rack that goes with the machine to buyer. 1983 Honda Silver Wing , These are 1983 Honda GL 650 Silverwing Interstate bikes. They are a one year only motorcycle, making them fairly rare. They are modular in set up: they can be a solo seat version with trunk, or remove the trunk and install rear seat for passenger. I also have the after market accessory to relocate the trunk behind the passenger seat. The grey bike is premium shape and has 16,327 mileage. I am asking $2,500.00 for it. The red bike is in excellent shape mechanically but does not have the original paint & decals on the left side cover and the fairing.
