Here is your chance to own one of the rarest most iconic motorcycles Suzuki ever produced. The Re5 only had one year of production, that being 1975. There were some built in1974 but these were not production models. The total number of Re5’s produced is unknown but most excerpts believe the number to be around 6,000 units. The Re5 was titled for two years. The 1975 models that did not sell were fitted with new gages, tank, ligts and side covers and titled 1976’s. This unit is a 1975 model. This bike is original unrestored excellent condition. The bike starts and runs as you would believe it should. All lights and gages work as designed. The bike has 13,800 miles on it. There is a spare gas tank that comes with the bike, it is a 1975 tank and is blue. I also have a org owner and service manual. The bike is being sold with no warranty . There will be a $500.00 due at the end of the bidding; this can be paid through pay-pal. The balance of the winning bid will be paid in cash when the bike is picked-up. Please email with any question. Please include phone # I will call back and answer any questons you have.

1975 suzuki RE5, rotary barn find, cafe racer or restore? Up for offer is one of the most unique of all production motorcycles…….the rare SUZUKI RE 5 ROTARY. The big question is…….RESTORE……...OR CREATE ONE OF THE WORLD’S MOST UNIQUE CAFE RACERS ???? Only offered for three years…..in limited numbers, the suzuki rotary powered motorcycle is perfect for the collector. Rotary motorcycles were only produced by three manufacturers, and even then, in very limited quantities. As a result, they extremely expensive. This Suzuki RE5 is quite unique, easier to obtain parts from many sources and is currently very affordable. That is what makes it also a perfect candidate for a radical cafe racer. Ever seen one ?? Can you imagine ?? Talk about the ultimate conversation piece……...good luck trying to top that one !!! This true barn find (.......well garage find, if we wish to be technical) is in great unrestored shape. Complete with surface dust and some corrosion, but almost entirely intact and ready for love and care. The tank and side covers had been painted, unwrapped and installed for the pictures, everything else…...including the dust…...is just as it was found. we have not tried to start the bike. there is no battery, and does not have a small side cover. we gently tried to see if it would kick over, but we did not try hard, as we did not want to cause any damages to the seals, and the rotor remained stationary. With only 8500 miles shown on the odometer, one would think that with some care, this bike can again be made to run nicely. Most of the stainless and chrome should come back reasonably well, with some care and elbow grease, while areas, such as the speedo bracket will require rechroming. The tail light is in rough shape. Cool original ducted exhaust pipes and lots of other cool rotary only items are in place. This is one interesting water buffalo. Please check out our youtube video on the bike for more details and a first hand close up look at this unique piece of motorcycling history from an era gone by……..never again to return. Bid with confidence. we can assist with shipping out of the country. non-refundable $500 deposit due within 24 hours of auction end. this bike is not currently running, so as much as you might like to fly in and ride it home, you should Bring a Trailer! Please feel free to inspect the bike or send your inspector prior to auction end. no post auction inspection games please. Bill of Sale only, no title present. Thanks for your interest in this incredible opportunity…..only a few of these rare machines left. See our you tube tour here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqIboqfIE-Q

I am selling this from my late brothers estate. He had a few bikes tucked away in his garage awaiting restoration and this was one of them. It looks to me to be a complete bike- please see pictures. I provided a few so you can have a good look. Motor turns over and has good compression as noted above. It sounded great when I kicked it over. Radiator holds fluids and little bit leaked out when I kicked it over to test compression. The pipes look really good with no rust through anywhere that I can see. I provided pictures of underneath the mufflers and they look good as well. I restore bikes myself and this looks like a great candidate for a winter project. These RE5's are pretty interesting but a little too complex for a Triumph twin guy like me :) I do know that the bike was in covered, heated storage for over 20 years and my brother bought it from there. We do have a Florida title which is signed off on by the previous owner however my brother never transferred it into his name. I assume he would have done that after he restored it like he usually did. I suppose that is a kind of clear title? So I am not sure what to do with that. I will treat is as if there is NO title for this bike- will provide Bill of Sale, had to put something in the title box for Ebay. Purchaser is welcome to the title that we have though......I don't think it is a big deal for a 40yo bike and not hard to take care of. Bike is located in Roseville, MI - Zip 48066. Bike can be shipped or picked up. Paypal deposit of $300.00 required at auction end, full payment in 7 days.

I am selling this as part of my late brothers estate, my brother LOVED this XS11. He was a master auto mechanic and tooling machine repair man. The condition above is accurate and as much as I hate to sell this, my sister-in-law could use the funds and that trumps anything. My 67yo brother had this bike forever so I am not totally sure of its history. I think that he bought it from his friend who bought it new. The numbers match. Basically the bike was ridden regularly until he became ill and then sat for 3 years on a lift in his garage. I simply rolled it off the lift, washed off the dust and took the pictures to post. On a whim I quick charged the battery, tried to start it and like a good XS11, it started within 10 seconds with 3 year old gas in it !! The engine sounded great and no smoke. I think my brother did put gas stabilizer in it for winter storage which may have helped. Like I said, the carbs were leaking some but I am familiar enough with XS carbs to not freak out at that, those vacuum feed carbs are sensitive to sitting around. I took a video of it running but not sure if ebay will let me post a video. Overall the bike needs a couple weeks on a lift and some good elbow grease to be returned to a great 1st year specimen. The carbs might just "self correct" if some good gas and solvent are ran through. I simply have too many bike projects to do it myself and like I said, the Sis can use the $$. Shipping is on buyers dime and we can help get it loaded of course. We will answer any questions you may have. The BIN price is good deal for someone. I will answer questions as best I can if you have any. FYI , I will be listing a 1975 Suzuki RE5 and 1970 Triumph Trophy soon as well (complete "barn finds").......if you are interested just keep an eye out.
