A Champion Gets Even Better Of all the classes in motocross, the 250s are one of the toughest. And Honda’s CRF®250R is the best — better than ever, in fact, with some great new updates for 2012. Taking a cue from our revised CRF®450R, we’ve changed the rear shock linkage so you get a softer start and a stiffer finish. It responds to small bumps better, but still resists bottoming over really big hits. Fine-tuning the rear travel helps with steering during hard braking and on long, fast downhill sections. New suspension settings front and rear keep the balance right and increase steering precision. In addition, the CRF250R gets a new cylinder head and new camshaft, and new throttle body, airbox and intake boot, all designed to give you more user-friendly power. And finally we’ve even given the 2012 CRF250R wider, longer footpegs for better grip and comfort and fitted it with premium Dunlop MX51 tires for superior traction in corners and under acceleration.

More Tuneable, Better Handling. The Best 250 Out There. Everyone knows the Honda CRF®250R is one of the best handling bikes in the class. And for 2015 it just got a lot better, thanks to the addition of its new Showa Air Fork SFF suspension. We made plenty of other fine-tuning changes as well. One ride, and we know you’ll agree it was worth the wait. Some of the changes you’ll spot right away—the all-new Engine Mode Select button. It’s an industry first for MX bikes, and it’s going to make tuning your bike for changing track conditions a snap. Other changes include a larger front brake disc, a lighter throttle return spring and larger muffler exit-pipe diameter. One thing’s for certain—the closer you look, and the more you ride, the more you’re going to realize that the new CRF250R is the best 250 you’ve ever wheeled up to a start gate.

Winning Is Everything Everyone is going to remember 2013 as the year Honda took the 450 class and blew it WIDE open with the totally redesigned CRF®450R. Huge changes are going to jump out at you. First is the CRF450R’s all-new air-fork front suspension. Nearly two pounds lighter than a coil-spring fork, it offers easier adjustment, less internal friction, and even better handling. Next, an all-new twin-spar aluminum frame. You’ll see some big changes in the steering-head area. That’s because the frame is designed specifically to work with the new fork. Check out the CRF450R’s short radical new twin exhaust. The system moves the mufflers in way closer to the bike’s center of mass. They’re super short and compact, and work in perfect concert with the 2013 model’s new bodywork to make this the most flickable CRF450R ever! In fact, everywhere you look you’re going to see upgrades this year: The engine gets a new piston shape, porting, and valve timing, along with more compression for more power. The radiators are smaller and flow more air. The clutch is totally redesigned with six springs for better feel at the lever. Even the foot pegs and tires get the Honda touch. Without a doubt, the 2013 CRF450R is the most dialed-in bike and still the lightest weight in its class. Do your part, and you’re going to be a permanent fixture on the podium with this one.
