A 14.000 rpm redline, factory spec WP AER 48 forks, orange anodized triple clamps and sprocket, an FMF muffler, launch control and Excel rims: this small bore superstar based on the prestigious 250 SX-F has what it takes to take on the big guns. Features may include: Engine The new 250 SX-F engine is based on the similar overall design of its predecessor, with some major refinements to make this power plant more compact and lighter, with the production of improved torque and power across the entire rpm range. Perhaps one of the most impressive benefits of the new design is a weight reduction of 2 lbs, while still including the incredibly beneficial electric starter. The reworked engine guarantees an improved power curve over the entire rev range up to 14,000 rpm, which makes the new 250 SX-F a winner for both amateur and professional riders. Cylinder Head The centerpiece of the compact DOHC (Double Overhead Camshaft) engine is the new cutting-edge cylinder head. It features improved combustion chamber geometry, two 150 g lighter overhead camshafts with new timing, plus a friction-optimized super-fine surface, new finger followers with a 30 % harder DLC coating and a reworked timing drive (friction reduced and shorter DID timing chain, new sprockets and chain guides). New valve springs and retainers for the four lightweight titanium valves (intake 32.5 mm, exhaust 26.5 mm) and high-flow ports create a maximized flow rate for an optimal power band and maximum performance, all the way up to a redline of 14,000 rpm. Cylinder & Piston In the reworked and shorter cylinder that has a bore of 78 mm, is a weight-reduced, forged bridged box-type piston made by CP. It features a unique piston shape adapted to the new combustion chamber and stands out with its extra-rigid structure, combined with a low weight. The compression ratio is at 14.4:1. Thanks to the low oscillating masses, the engine offers extremely lively characteristics. Electric Starter The new 250 SX-F is fitted with an electric starter as standard, which a clear advantage in the heat of battle. FEATHERWEIGHT The main target for the KTM engineers when developing the SX models was a massive weight reduction compared to the previous generation. The result: the current SX models are the slimmest, lightest bikes on the track. AIRBOX The airbox design offers maximum protection of the air filter while ensuring maximum airflow. The large twin-air filter is mounted in a stiff cage, which at the same time holds the system in place. This design is so simple you could still pop a fresh one in with a face full of mud. Without tools. In seconds. FRAME The high-tech, lightweight chrome-moly steel frame is engineered for excellent handling, precise cornering and supreme stability. You can also count on high torsional rigidity and low longitudinal stiffness for better absorption of the energy created by the front and rear suspension sucking up jumps and bumps. The bike itself comprises of almost as much power as a 450, but with the agility of a 250 so the basic idea is easily summarized, and has been a concept with success from the start. 2011 KTM Sx-F 350, Up for sale is my 2011 KTM 350 SX. I bought this bike off the showroom floor a few years ago, but rarely got to ride. The bike is in great shape and has 9.3 hours on it. Most of the hours on the bike were spent following my 7 year old around on his 50. The bike is all stock except for the lightweight Shorai lithium battery battery and Acerbis hand guards. 2011 KTM 50 SX, Up for sale is my son's 2011 SXS 50. This bike rips and has all of the KTM hard part goodies. The oil gets changed after every ride and the bike starts on the first or second kick.
