DDS CLUTCH The 450 employs the KTM-developed DDS clutch (damped diaphragm steel) with a wear-free steel basket and extremely heat resistant clutch plates. 2014 KTM 350 XC-F, 2014 KTM 350 XC-F BEST IN CLASS The 350 XC-F has taken Factory FMF/KTM rider Charlie Mullins to multiple National Enduro wins during the opening half of the 2013 season. His teammate Kailub Russell has matched his success on the 350cc machine with wins in both the GNCC and OMA 2013 series. Features May Include: TRIPLE CLAMPS The lower triple clamp has been modified for optimum attachment of the new front fender. Thanks to its new contour and attachment with two bolts from the front and two from below, the new fender boasts significantly higher stability. SUSPENSION/DAMPING For 2014, all XC models are fitted with a newly developed 48mm 4CS Closed Cartridge fork featuring the patented 4-Chamber-System. The sophisticated design provides very constant and sensitive damping characteristics and an adjustable end progression. The new hand click adjuster system is now accessible on top of the fork, rebound on the right hand side, compression on the left. The fork is fitted with improved seal rings made by SKF and high performance fork oil (SAE 4). Compared to the predecessor, the new 4CS fork is lighter , easier to maintain and has been completely valved to match the shock for XC racing. FRAME The state-of-the-art frame design made of lightweight, high-strength chromoly steel sections combines maximum longitudinal stiffness with optimum torsional rigidity. It guarantees easy handling and precise cornering, but also outstanding stability. SWINGARM The cast aluminium swingarm has been developed with state-of-the-art calculation and simulation software and constructed, in terms of design and wall thickness, for minimum weight with optimum stiffness and precisely defined flexibility. For the 2014 model year, our engineers have revised the chainguide for the benefit of higher functional reliability, while simultaneously reducing the weight. AIR BOX The airbox design offers maximum protection of the air filter against dirt while ensuring maximum airflow for top performance. The Twin Air filter can be changed without tools in seconds, a standard for KTM. ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EMS) In combination with the revolutionary injector position as developed by KTM, the Keihin Engine Management System with electronic fuel injection and 44mm throttle body provides the engine with a spontaneous response and maximum performance. For 2014, the wire harness of the 350 XC-F has been further simplified and even higher quality wires and connectors are used. But that s no surprise. The successful combination of a powerful and torquey engine in a lightweight and agile ch***is is bound to place the 250 SX-F onto podium after podium. Features may include: 98.2 KG The main target for the KTM engineers when developing the SX models was a m***ive weight reduction compared to the previous generation. The result: the current SX-F models are the slimmest, lightest bikes on the track. Even though the 4-strokes are equipped with an electric starter as a standard feature, while the competition still needs to be kick started, the SX-F line weigh in pounds less. Rather than kicking to start - you can focus on kicking ***. AIRBOX The airbox design offers maximum protection of the air filter while ensuring maximum airflow. The large twin-air filter is mounted in a stiff cage, which at the same time holds the system in place. This design is so simple you could still pop a fresh one in with a face full of mud. Without tools. In seconds. FRAME The high-tech, lightweight chrome-moly steel frame is engineered for excellent handling, precise cornering and supreme stability. You can also count on high torsional rigidity and low longitudinal stiffness for better absorption of the energy created by the front and rear suspension sucking up jumps and bumps. In short: more comfort and less rider fatigue. Laterally attached, lightweight engine head stays contribute to a reduced vibration level. Two threaded inserts in the lower cradle tubes allow for an optional skid plate. The engineers were able to pull off all that, while making the frame two pounds lighter than that of the lightest competitor on the market. In addition, the frame is easier to maintain, easier to work on and supplies more space for the tank and other components. The bike also features an extra-light aluminum subframe, which weighs in at less than 2 pounds. FOOTPEGS Sophisticated ´No Dirt´ footpegs prevent clogging of the footpeg pivot, even when digging in deep ruts. Looking for a higher riding position? Then just mount the footpegs of the MY2017 EXC models, which are 6mm higher than the SX versions. SWINGARM The cast aluminum design offers low weight and a perfect flex behavior.
