2017 KTM 250 SX-F Factory Edition, 2017 KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition THE WHIP The 250 SX-F Factory Edition, the lightest and best performing bike in its class, is the right choice for both amateur and professional riders. The combination of a powerful and torquey engine in a lightweight and agile chassis is key to its success. A 14.000 rpm redline, factory spec WP AER 48 forks, orange anodized triple clamps and sprocket, an FMF muffler, launch control and Excel rims: this small bore superstar based on the prestigious 250 SX-F has what it takes to take on the big guns. And take them out. Features may include: ENGINE The new 250 SX-F engine is based on the similar overall design of its predecessor, with some major refinements to make this power plant more compact and lighter, with the production of improved torque and power across the entire rpm range. Perhaps one of the most impressive benefits of the new design is a weight reduction of 1,1 kg, while still including the incredibly beneficial electric starter. The reworked engine guarantees an improved power curve over the entire rev range up to 14,000 rpm, which makes the new 250 SX-F a winner for both amateur and professional riders. ELECTRIC STARTER The new 250 SX-F is fitted with an electric starter as standard, which a clear advantage in the heat of battle. A new starter motor made by Mitsuba (modified for easy disassembly) and a weight-reduced starter drive guarantees more efficient and reliable starting. TRANSMISSION The new engine is fitted with an all-new and weight reduced, 5-speed gearbox. It features the same gear ratios as the previous model, but has wider gears that feature a special surface treatment on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears for improved reliability. One of the new and special features on the bike is an advanced "NO-DIRT" shift lever design, which prevents dirt from blocking the joint of the lever and guarantees safe shifting of the transmission. ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM The completely reworked Keihin Engine Management System, with electronic fuel injection, features an all-new 44 mm throttle body, which provides instantaneous response and maximum performance thanks to a revolutionary injector position. The new ECU (Engine Control Unit) includes a launch control for more efficient starts with different maps according to the gear sensor selection. In addition, the rider can activate optional maps for a different power delivery via the map select switch on the handlebar. CRANKSHAFT The new 250 SX-F's crankshaft features a stiffer design and employs a 6 mm shorter connecting rod, contributing to the compact and light engine with a snappy power delivery. A plain big end bearing features two force-fitted bearing shells run directly on the crank pin. This design is a major prerequisite for the extremely high engi

2017 KTM 250 SX-F, 2017 KTM 250 SX-F SMALL-BORE SUSPERSTAR The 250 SX-F has been on top of the MX2 World Championship for many years now and added a second AMA Supercross Lites Championship to its crowded trophy cabinet. But that s no surprise. The successful combination of a powerful and torquey engine in a lightweight and agile ch***is is bound to place the 250 SX-F onto podium after podium. Features may include: 98.2 KG The main target for the KTM engineers when developing the SX models was a m***ive weight reduction compared to the previous generation. The result: the current SX-F models are the slimmest, lightest bikes on the track. Even though the 4-strokes are equipped with an electric starter as a standard feature, while the competition still needs to be kick started, the SX-F line weigh in pounds less. Rather than kicking to start - you can focus on kicking ***. AIRBOX The airbox design offers maximum protection of the air filter while ensuring maximum airflow. The large twin-air filter is mounted in a stiff cage, which at the same time holds the system in place. This design is so simple you could still pop a fresh one in with a face full of mud. Without tools. In seconds. FRAME The high-tech, lightweight chrome-moly steel frame is engineered for excellent handling, precise cornering and supreme stability. You can also count on high torsional rigidity and low longitudinal stiffness for better absorption of the energy created by the front and rear suspension sucking up jumps and bumps. In short: more comfort and less rider fatigue. Laterally attached, lightweight engine head stays contribute to a reduced vibration level. Two threaded inserts in the lower cradle tubes allow for an optional skid plate. The engineers were able to pull off all that, while making the frame two pounds lighter than that of the lightest competitor on the market. In addition, the frame is easier to maintain, easier to work on and supplies more space for the tank and other components. The bike also features an extra-light aluminum subframe, which weighs in at less than 2 pounds. FOOTPEGS Sophisticated ´No Dirt´ footpegs prevent clogging of the footpeg pivot, even when digging in deep ruts. Looking for a higher riding position? Then just mount the footpegs of the MY2017 EXC models, which are 6mm higher than the SX versions. SWINGARM The cast aluminum design offers low weight and a perfect flex behavior. The single-component casting process eliminates any inconsistencies and inherent weak points created by welding. It s better looking as well. HANDLEBAR KTM engineers sure know how to handle handlebars. This tapered one, made of high-strength aluminum by NEKEN, is fixed in damped rubber mounts and has two different positions. From 2017 onwards, the lower handlebar

2015 KTM 250 SX-F FACORY EDITION, SRP excludes destination charge Online price is a cash outright, sale price. Trade may be accepted at a low wholesale value only. MSRP - $9298 NVC Price - $8699 The KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition has warmed the hearts of riders for the past four years and now 250F lovers can get a trick Factory Edition machine from KTM, as 2015 marks the first year the Austrian brand has released a 250 SX-F Factory Edition. A bonus to the release of Factory Editions is they are a reliable preview of what the KTM SX-F models will be for 2016. In fact, wed bet all the money in your bank account that the 2016 KTM SX-F models will be almost identical to the Factory Editions, minus the graphics and a few of the bling items. We loved the new 2015 450SX-F Factory Edition (read the test here) and are now big fans of the new 250SX-F Factory Edition as well. KTM went all out when designing and building the Factory Editions, creating two of the lightest production motocross bikes ever. The Factory Editions are all about weight loss, mass centralization and improved performance. The new 250SX-F Factory Edition engine is not only smaller, its 2.4 pounds lighter and more powerful. The clutch is raised 26.9mm and moved back 11.1mm. The crank was moved up 6mm and the connecting rod is 6mm shorter. The cylinder is 130 grams lighter and the camshafts are 150 grams lighter, while the finger followers have a 30% harder DLC coating. Engine changes and improvements allowed KTM to raise the rev limiter to an incredible 14,000 rpm. The clutch basket is revised, to improve oil flow and cooling, and the clutch now uses seven plates instead of eight. The 250SX-F Factory Edition uses the same 44mm Keihin fuel injection system as its 450SX-F counterpart and the Keihin throttle body no longer uses linkage. New throttle cables feature the adjusters up at the throttle tube housing. An all new exhaust system sources a 40mm shorter muffler that is 60mm closer to the center of mass. (Above) The 2015 KTM 250SX-F Factory Edition engine is lighter and more powerful. (Middle) The new WP shock is shorter and lighter but offers up more rear wheel travel. (Below) The 2015 KTM 250SX-F Factory Edition doesn't cut any corners and every component is top quality. The all-new chromoly frame is lighter, featuring 20% increased torsional rigidity and 30% decreased longitudinal stiffness (identical to the 450SX-F Factory Edition minus the cradle below the engine). These changes help the frame absorb energy created from rear wheel loads and improve overall handling. The head angle is steeper and the wheelbase is 12mm shorter. A new smaller subframe is also 250 g lighter, contributing to the bikes 7 pound overall weight savings. Like the 450SX-F Factory Edition, the WP 4CS fork on the 250 SX-F Factory Edition received more progressive valving, aimed at adding
