2016 KTM 250 SX-F Factory Edition, 2016 KTM 250 SX-F Factory Edition THE WHIP The 250 SX-F Factory Edition, the lightest and best performing bike in its class, is the right choice for both amateur and professional riders. The combination of a powerful and torquey engine in a lightweight and agile chassis is key to its success. A 14.000 rpm redline, factory spec WP AER 48 forks, orange anodized triple clamps and sprocket, an FMF muffler, launch control and Excel rims: this small bore superstar based on the prestigious 250 SX-F has what it takes to take on the big guns. And take them out. Features may include: ENGINE The new 250 SX-F engine is based on the similar overall design of its predecessor, with some major refinements to make this power plant more compact and lighter, with the production of improved torque and power across the entire rpm range. Perhaps one of the most impressive benefits of the new design is a weight reduction of 2 lbs, while still including the incredibly beneficial electric starter. The reworked engine guarantees an improved power curve over the entire rev range up to 14,000 rpm, which makes the new 250 SX-F a winner for both amateur and professional riders. CYLINDER HEAD The centerpiece of the compact DOHC (Double Overhead Camshaft) engine is the new cutting-edge cylinder head. It features improved combustion chamber geometry, two 150 g lighter overhead camshafts with new timing, plus a friction-optimized super-fine surface, new finger followers with a 30 % harder DLC coating and a reworked timing drive (friction reduced and shorter DID timing chain, new sprockets and chain guides). New valve springs and retainers for the four lightweight titanium valves (intake 32.5 mm, exhaust 26.5 mm) and high-flow ports create a maximized flow rate for an optimal power band and maximum performance, all the way up to a redline of 14,000 rpm. CYLINDER & PISTON In the reworked and shorter cylinder that has a bore of 78 mm, is a weight-reduced, forged bridged box-type piston made by CP. It features a unique piston shape adapted to the new combustion chamber and stands out with its extra-rigid structure, combined with a low weight. The compression ratio is at 14.4:1. Thanks to the low oscillating masses, the engine offers extremely lively characteristics. ELECTRIC STARTER The new 250 SX-F is fitted with an electric starter as standard, which a clear advantage in the heat of battle. A new starter motor made by Mitsuba (modified for easy disassembly) and a weight-reduced starter drive guarantees more efficient and reliable starting. TRASMISSION The new engine is fitted with an all-new and weight reduced, 5-speed gearbox. It features the same gear ratios as the previous model, but has wider gears that feature a special surface treatment on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears for improved rel

2016 KTM Freeride 250 R, 2016 KTM Freeride 250 R The Lively One Features May Include: ENGINE To power the FREERIDE 250 R, the KTM design engineers took the two-stroke engine from the 250 EXC competition enduro and subjected it to comprehensive refinements, thereby reducing the weight of the already particularly lightweight power unit - in spite of electric starter - by a whole two kilograms and tuning it for optimal rideability. The engine on the FREERIDE 250 R is equipped with its own cylinder, featuring ducts and valve timing adapted to the desired torque curve, as well as a matching piston. Similarly to trials motorcycles, the elaborate exhaust control system of the 250 EXC has been omitted, which not only has a beneficial effect on the torque curve but also on the durability of the piston. That makes this engine even less complicated and even more robust. TRANSMISSION Compared with the 250 EXC, the 6-speed gearbox specially developed for the FREERIDE models has shorter transmission ratios, while the extended sixth gear is effectively designed as an overdrive. A short secondary gear ratio of 46 to 12 (FREERIDE 350 12/48) guarantees powerful traction and lively acceleration, especially in demanding terrain. CLUTCH Both the FREERIDE 250 R and the FREERIDE 350 are equipped with an undamped CCS (coil spring steel) clutch, featuring a wear-free steel cage and a clutch package tuned especially for the FREERIDES with seven steel carrier lining discs. Not least thanks to the special friction linings and softer springs, this clutch is characterised by optimized disengagement, while the hydraulic clutch armature from Formula ensures that the clutch is always easily and precisely controlled. BATTERY The Freeride 250 R is the first KTM motorcycle to be equipped as standard with a lithium-ion starter battery. This innovative technology not only saves one kilo of weight, it impresses above all with significantly greater efficiency, thereby ensuring higher efficiency of the electric starter system - in other words: the battery doesn't give up the ghost, even when started frequently. WHEELS AND TYRES The FREERIDE 250 R rolls on extremely light, spoked wheels with anodized, light-alloy rims from GIANT, CNC-machined hubs and light-alloy spoke nipples. The Trial-Maxx tyres derived from the world of trial sport, in sizes 2.75-21 and 4.00-18, have been specially developed by Maxxis for the KTM FREERIDES. They feature a soft, grippy compound and, compared with trials tyres, a much higher proportion of negative profile. This improves self-cleaning on muddy surfaces, without the tyres breaking up the ground excessively. Furthermore, the Maxxis tyres bestow the FREERIDE 250 R with perceptibly more agile handling and they are much more durable than pure trials tyres. BRAKES The Formula brak

2015 KTM 250 SX, 2015 KTM 250 SX POWER UP The 250 SX is regarded as the motocross motorcycle with the best power-to-weight ratio. The lightweight 2-stroke engine scores highly with unrivalled performance packed in an extremely light chassis a formidable rival for the costlier 4-stroke competitors. Features May Include: Bodywork KTM engineers have focussed on designing the bodywork ergonomically and functionally in such a way that the whole motorcycle is in perfect harmony with the rider down to the very last detail. The front fender is a perfect example of how moulded plastic components can gain maximum stability with a well thought out structure and well-conceived attachment. Seat The ergonomically perfectly designed seat is equipped with a durable foam core, ensuring both greater comfort and higher stability. Airbox At the same time, the design of the airbox guarantees optimum protection of the air filter from dirt plus maximum air throughput for the highest performance. Quick replacement of the twin-air filter - without tools and in a matter of seconds - has long since been an unrivalled KTM standard. Fuel Tank All models in the SX range are equipped with a 7.5 liter, lightweight polyethylene fuel tank. Handlebar All SX models are equipped with the extremely sturdy, tapered Renthal Fatbar 827 handlebar that features an offset specially designed to meet the demands of motocross. In accordance with the proven KTM standard, the handlebar can be fixed in a choice of four positions. For MY 2015, it is equipped with softer two-component grips to spare the rider's hands. Wheels The wheels fitted for MY 2015 feature black coated, high-end Excel rims with lightweight, CNC-machined hubs and spokes with lightweight aluminium nipples, allowing highest levels of stability to be achieved, while keeping weight to a minimum. New Dunlop Geomax MX 52 tires were developed in collaboration with the KTM USA factory team and offer perfect traction with top performance. The new rear sprockets save 50 grams in unsprung mass. Brakes High-tech brakes from Brembo have always been standard equipment on KTM offroad bikes and, together with the lightweight Galfer Wave brake discs, they are the measure of all things in terms of brake technology. As the best brakes in the motocross class, they remain unchanged for MY 2015. Engine The powerful KTM 250 SX engine unites an unbeatable power-to-weight ratio with outstanding performance and extremely easy handling. Clutch A new DDS clutch (Damped Diaphragm Steel) with diaphragm spring and wear-free steel cage is fitted to the KTM 250 SX engine. The diaphragm spring, which preloads the package, not only reduces the operating force required to pull the clutch, but also provides space for integrated hub damping. The result: more traction and protection for the tra

2015 KTM 250 XC-W, 250 XC-W The perfect combination of a 125's playful handling with impressive engine power very close to a 250. Equipped with an electric starter for the current model year, the 200 XC-W now receives a significantly stronger starter motor for improved starting reliability. Combined with its optimum rideability thanks to a new cylinder head and carb jetting, the 200 XC-W has become more userfriendly than ever. This makes it the first choice for all who are looking for perfect handling, first-rate comfort and plenty of power outside the competitive class society and who rate riding fun and reasonable costs above all else. BATTERY The 250 and 300 XC-W models receive a stronger battery (4 Ah instead of 3 Ah) for more reliable starting. BODYWORK Shrouds, airbox cover, front fender, headlight fairing and the headlight have all been restyled for 2014. The KTM designer's focus was to achieve complete ergonomic harmony between rider and bike for a more stable ride and effortless movement on the bike. Adding to the improvements is a high-quality seat foam core to maximize comfort and durability. With the new front fender, the designers omitted ribbing on the inside to reduce mud and dirt buildup while increasing rigidity over the previous component by 50%. BRAKES High-Tech Brembo brakes have always been standard equipment on KTM offroad bikes, and combined with the lightweight Wave discs, they are the ultimate solution in braking technology. In 2014 the XC-W models gain a new master cylinder with a new reservoir, a smaller piston diameter and a new lever with optimized kinematics. Combined with new sinter brake pads (Toyo B169), this makes for another perceptible improvement of front brake performance and action. CYCLINDER HEAD New cylinder head with optimized combustion chamber offers more efficient combustion, better response especially under partial load, better power delivery and optimized rideability. FRAME The modern and lightweight frame design made of high-strength chromoly steel sections combines maximum longitudinal stiffness with optimum torsional ridigty. It guarantees easy handling and precise cornering, but also outstanding stability. GRAPHICS New, classy graphics with clear lines visually underscore the exacting standards of what KTM deems a true, cutting-edge offroad bike. HANDLEBAR All XC-W models are fitted with the super strong, tapered Neken handlebar made of high tensile strength aluminum alloy. The proven standard KTM mount allows to fix the handlebar in four different positions. 2014 sees the introduction of newly-developed hand guards made of 2-component polymer for more effective hand protection. OPTIMIZED ENGINE The engine has a redesigned reed valve housing featuring Boyesen high-performance reeds. This has improved performance and responsiveness. The ignition curve and cylinder head have been optimized

2015 Ktm 250 R, 1111 - All those who have never had the opportunity to enjoy the punch of a powerful two-stroke in a lightweight, agile off road chassis are in for a surprise with the Freeride 250 R. However, those who have already had this pleasure know: The power of such an engine develops completely differently, the expanding combustion gases effectively pressing down twice as often on the crankshaft as a four-stroke. Consequently, KTM two-stroke enduros, which are designed more for high peak power, still pull away forcefully from the very bottom up and that's a real pleasure. And since the engine on the Freeride 250 R is tuned completely in keeping with the Freeride notion - not for maximum power but for harmonious torque progression and optimum ride ability - this motorcycle is an all-rounder that feels all the more at home, the tougher the terrain becomes.
