2016 KTM 250 SX-F Factory Edition, 2016 KTM 250 SX-F Factory Edition The Whip The 250 SX-F Factory Edition, the lightest and best performing bike in its class, is the right choice for both amateur and professional riders. The combination of a powerful and torquey engine in a lightweight and agile chassis is key to its success. A 14.000 rpm redline, factory spec WP AER 48 forks, orange anodized triple clamps and sprocket, an FMF muffler, launch control and Excel rims: this small bore superstar based on the prestigious 250 SX-F has what it takes to take on the big guns. And take them out. Features may include: Engine The new 250 SX-F engine is based on the similar overall design of its predecessor, with some major refinements to make this power plant more compact and lighter, with the production of improved torque and power across the entire rpm range. Perhaps one of the most impressive benefits of the new design is a weight reduction of 2 lbs, while still including the incredibly beneficial electric starter. The reworked engine guarantees an improved power curve over the entire rev range up to 14,000 rpm, which makes the new 250 SX-F a winner for both amateur and professional riders. Cylinder Head The centerpiece of the compact DOHC (Double Overhead Camshaft) engine is the new cutting-edge cylinder head. It features improved combustion chamber geometry, two 150 g lighter overhead camshafts with new timing, plus a friction-optimized super-fine surface, new finger followers with a 30 % harder DLC coating and a reworked timing drive (friction reduced and shorter DID timing chain, new sprockets and chain guides). New valve springs and retainers for the four lightweight titanium valves (intake 32.5 mm, exhaust 26.5 mm) and high-flow ports create a maximized flow rate for an optimal power band and maximum performance, all the way up to a redline of 14,000 rpm. Cylinder & Piston In the reworked and shorter cylinder that has a bore of 78 mm, is a weight-reduced, forged bridged box-type piston made by CP. It features a unique piston shape adapted to the new combustion chamber and stands out with its extra-rigid structure, combined with a low weight. The compression ratio is at 14.4:1. Thanks to the low oscillating masses, the engine offers extremely lively characteristics. Electric Starter The new 250 SX-F is fitted with an electric starter as standard, which a clear advantage in the heat of battle. A new starter motor made by Mitsuba (modified for easy disassembly) and a weight-reduced starter drive guarantees more efficient and reliable starting. Trasmission The new engine is fitted with an all-new and weight reduced, 5-speed gearbox. It features the same gear ratios as the previous model, but has wider gears that feature a special surface treatment on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears for improved reliability. One of the new and special features

2016 KTM Freeride 250 R, Last one for the year. Hurry and call Darin if you want it!!! Frame During the course of developing the FREERIDE 250 R, KTM design engineers pulled out all the stops to exploit the full potential of the substantially more compact two-stroke engine. As with the FREERIDE 350, the frame is a composite construction comprising high-grade, chrome-molybdenum steel profiles bolted together with forged light-alloy components. However, compared with the FREERIDE 350 frame, the compact two-stroke engine with its laterally routed exhaust has allowed the lower frame tubes to be raised by a whole 60 millimetres. This results in significantly greater ground clearance – in conjunction with the large steering lock, a benefit that becomes all the more apparent, the tougher the terrain: Particularly when negotiating trials sections, the FREERIDE 250 R bottoms out much later. Subframe The bolted subframe made from high-strength plastic impresses with high inherent stability and makes a significant contribution to the lightweight-construction concept of the FREERIDE 250 R. The rider can get a firm hold at the integrated grip recesses well-protected from dirt should the rear wheel ever become stuck in the mud. Battery The Freeride 250 R for MY 2015 is the first KTM motorcycle to be equipped as standard with a lithium-ion starter battery. This innovative technology not only saves one kilo of weight, it impresses above all with significantly greater efficiency, thereby ensuring higher efficiency of the electric starter system - in other words: the battery doesn't give up the ghost, even when started frequently. Swingarm Weighing only 3.2 kg, the light-alloy cast swingarm has been designed by KTM chassis experts to support the suspension system comprising frame and suspension components with targeted flexibility in the direction of oscillation. At the same time, it contributes with its high torsional stiffness to the outstanding tracking stability of the FREERIDE 250 R. The progressively functioning acting PDS shock absorber is hinged directly at the swingarm. Wheels and Tires The FREERIDE 250 R rolls on extremely light, spoked wheels with anodised, light-alloy rims from GIANT, CNC-machined hubs and light-alloy spoke nipples. The Trial-Maxx tires derived from the world of trial sport, in sizes 2.75-21 and 4.00-18, have been specially developed by Maxxis for the KTM FREERIDES. They feature a soft,
