1981 Kawasaki 750 LTD motorcycle- 516 miles Up for sale is a 1981 Kawasaki 750 LTD motorcycle. I purchased this bike from a local estate without a title and I am in the process of obtaining a Virginia title for the bike; I should have the tile by the end of January 2017. I am selling the bike now with the understanding that if you are the winning bidder you must pay a $200 non-refundable deposit; if I fail to obtain a title, your deposit will be refunded.The Kawasaki motorcycle was purchased new by the original owner in 1981; the Chesapeake city sticker and 1982 Virginia license plate are still on the bike. The odometer shows 516 original miles; my guess it was driven for one year and then stored away in a building for 35 years until 2016 when I acquired it. The original key is included and it will open all locks on the bike and will also work the ignition switch. The chrome has a lot of pitting and rust as you can see from the pictures. The gas tank full of crud from old gas and some of it ran down the gas tank. The gas tank lock was frozen with crud, which I was able to clean & lubricate; now it works fine {see pictures|. The fuel valve and gas filter were also full of crud; I cleaned these up. I flushed the gas tank with alcohol as best I could. The fuel valve was in the off position so I don’t believe the old gas was in the carbs; however you should plan on having to clean the entire fuel system. I connected a battery and the lights work. I was able to shift the transmission into neutral as was indicated on the status light {see picture} and was able to start the engine with ether. I opened up the brake fluid reservoir and the brake fluid had dried up into a pasty power; so the entire brake system will have to be cleaned out.The seat on the bike is like new with a couple of tiny spots of damage, please look at the pictures as they are part of the description.
