This bike needs no introduction, but for those who don't know this is the King of Baja. Honda took the foundation of the legendary XR platform and modernized with performance in mind. It walks the line between dual sport and dirt bike better than anything out there, and you can use either to their fullest potential. What makes this listing special is that it is a 100% turn key Baja/Adventure/Dirt rig. I have spent hundreds of hours building, testing and tuning this bike to perfection. This isn't a bubba bike that get thrown in the back of a truck and put away wet, only to have oil changed when it's dry or bolts that are stripped and seized. This is a performance machine that I put my life in the hands of regularly and therefor no shortcut, or expenses has been spared along the way. That means every nut and bolt has the fullest confidence of proper torque specs, anti-sieze, or loctite, fresh fluids and methodical approach to all maintenance and performance. There have been no shortcuts and only the best specialists have had a hand in any work or tuning. - - - - - - - - Suspension• Redone entirely and tuned by George at ESP, I trust no one else. That means this bike glides through the canyons as beautifully as it does the whoops and deep sand. Responsive and compliant, makes the machine feel like million bucks and inspires confidence throughout. Suspension is fully adjustable front and rear.• Brand new fork gators in perfect condition, no rips or tears. Brakes • EBC pads with good life on them, fresh DOT4, and steel braided lines up front. Fluids• Oil is changed on the dot or sooner with Honda HP4 Semi-Synthetic racing oil. Fresh oil and filters as it sits. Magnetic drain plugs for frame and engine. • Coolant has been flushed (3 months ago) and filled with Engine Ice. There are no leaks whatsoever, the bike it tight as a drum and operating at full capacity.• 24lb radiator cap ensures the bike stays cool under the harshest of conditions. Chassis• GRP stabilizer / aluminum triple clamp / 2" risers. Big ticket item that is a must have in my opinion. As you'll see throughout, no expense spared. Night and day confidence when you're in deep sand in top gear.• Risers and fat bar allow you stand on the bike comfortably all day with proper body position and no fatigue. • New +2" clutch and throttle cables for the raised controls. • Acerbis Rally Pro-X hand guards keep your hands protected as well as your levels. Very strong aluminum brace.• New swing arm that's been professionally powder coated black. Chain adjuster bolts move smooth and cleanly. • Brand new swing arm AND shock linkage bearings. • Grips are about six months old and in great condition. • New black Acerbis plastics. • Seat has an aftermarket gripper cover in great condition. Protection• XR's only skid plate that'll take any hit. (spare brake and clutch levers are mounted inside)• ManRacks case guards for left and right side protect the covers from potential punctures from either the shift or brake levers in a tip over.• Case saver for front sprocket. Controls • Aftermarket shorty levels for better feel and control. • XR's Only chain guide and disk protector.• IMS Foot pegs. Wheels • Warp 9 black wheels with anodized red hubs (has to have a splash of red for the Honda heritage, as we all know red is a fast color). • Wheels are trued and balance, super smooth on the freeway, no vibration. • Brand new tires, the magic combo of Pirelli Scorpion fronts and Dunlop D606 rear (130, works wonders in the desert and sand) with heavy duty tubes. I've literally never had a puncture. Drivetrain • RK 520EXW Gold XW-RING Chain, best chain you can buy to ensure no breaks or failures no matter the load or power put through it. • New sprockets front and rear 14t 48t (best combo between highway and dirt). Fueling• IMS 4.6 Gallon tank with billet Tusk cap. • Exhaust has been uncorked, carb rejetted to really unleash the power. Runs and idles like a top. Pulls like a mustang with gobs of torque. Electrical• Ricky stator 200w dual output stator.• Baja Designs 8" HID Light and Mount.• Upgraded Baja Designs Regulator Rectifier. • 12v cigarette lighter power supply. - I ran a RAM mounted iPhone with MotionX for maps, speedo, compass, and odometer. You can power whatever you'd like easily. • Dual Sport kit with lithium ion battery pack. Wired up and ready for turn signals, I chose to leave them off as they're the first things to break off. Luggage• DirtBagz Luggage Racks with (Brand New) Scout saddle bags, made from ballistic nylon. These are the best luggage system for any XR. Strapped down confidently onto the luggage racks which also add needed rigidity to the subframe, and allow you strap more luggage across the rear of the seat (sleeping back/tent/etc). If you're interested in getting this with the bike I'll throw them in for an extra $180. • Comes with a tail bag for documents and spare tools. - - - - - - - - That's a pretty thorough breakdown, and I'm sure there's some things I'm leaving out, but simply put you won't find a bike that's this nice and ready to go. She always starts on first, sometimes second kick cold. That means the valves are perfectly adjusted, pistons have full compression, and carb is jetted correctly and well tuned with good lubrication. I'll miss this bike very much, but my riding has moved more technical single track and it isn't getting ridden as much as is should lately. The workmanship is guaranteed solid, something I take great pride in. This is a bulletproof turn key bike that you can throw a leg over and hit the new riding season with in full confidence. No bugs, tricks or surprises. Just thousands of miles of adventure and fun, whether that's riding to the tip of baja, a spontaneous camping trip in Big Bear, or loaded in the truck to hit your favorite spot for the day.
