The Bike was originally bought for the first owners wife. Turns out she wasn't the riding type, so the bike sat in a garage for 20+ years in south west Phoenix, at this point it had right around 2k miles. It was then purchased by a gentleman in central Phoenix who rode it for a couple hundred miles and decided he had to have a Harley. Then it comes to us, we had the same model in the early 90's and were looking for another one. We found this one in Phoenix, hard to believe the miles, so of course went over it with a fine tooth comb. It still had the original tires, date coded 1988 (the guy was a fool for riding on those), still full tread buy dried out and cracking. Every nut and bolt was original and just like sitting on the show room. I replaced the tires, and it's the smoothest bike I have ever seen. Somewhere along the line something fell and hit the gas tank and left 2 small dents, see photos. One side of the tank is a little sun faded, must have been facing a window. Fork seals were replaced from sitting, newer battery, saddle bags, small windshield, fork pouch. Why are we selling....Traffic, "wonderful" drivers, the open road is great but where we live seems you need to have your license revoked to drive here (insert sad face here). The bike is in excellent condition and has a ton of great features: - Newer oil, oil filter, transmission fluid, and coolant (all <1K miles)- Newer front AND back tires (replaced just before above parts)- Newer battery- Bulldog remote alarm & security system already installed- Battery backup wall charger included- Large hard plastic saddle bags with locks - very durable and reliable- CLEAN title in my name ALREADY notarized and ready to go- Registration tags good till MAY 2017!- Large driver's seat and passenger seat with sissy bar (backrest) and pegs- Excellent condition mechanically and cosmetically (chromed out) I'm a single male with no children, so most of my expendable money goes into taking care of my vehicles. This 1100 cruiser is an absolute blast to ride and is a huge beast of a machine. This is a biker's bike with loud, guttural pipes to match and a VERY quick acceleration time from the v-twin engine. If you know cruisers, you know that Hondas (particularly Shadows) are bulletproof, last forever, and retain their value. I am selling because I want to get back into sport bikes and I'd like an R6.
