This bike has not been used much for the several years, only 7000 miles but had full service at 6435 miles at Newport Beach Ducati. Registered. Rear tire shows wear, a few minor dings, otherwise in good condition. Some days the fuel gauge "goes Italian", but many types of Ducati's seem to have this problem. I took it to the dealer once to get it fixed, but on the way there it decided to work that day, so there was nothing to fix. I could have replaced the guage anyway, but even the 2015 gauges seem to have problems, so I just watch the mileage since the last fill up on days it is not working (like we all had to do up until about 20 years ago.) I bought the bike in 2007 with 4075 miles on it. I used it for a couple of years and did the 6000 mile service at 6435, but my girlfriend decided she did not like riding the Ducati (she liked my BMW better, it is not so quick and has a backrest and is easier to hang on to). This is a wonderful bike to ride on the road, a very comfortable upright riding position and very responsive. I want a comfortable upright riding position for long distances. A great long distance tourer and a great mountain twisties bike. Although it is advertised as a sport bike it is not quite as good on gravel or dirt roads, and I like taking out-of-the-way unpaved roads, which is another reason I have decided to stick with my BMW. I have ridden the Ducati very little over the last several years, only putting on about 600 miles by riding it a few miles every month to keep things lubricated and to keep the battery alive. New battery in March of 2017.It looked like it had never been down when I got it. The only time for me was when it fell over in the driveway when I was warming it up. It was stationary, the original factory kickstand was too long, it was on a tiny slope, and fell over either because of the engine vibration or a gust of wind. I have replaced the kickstand with the "after market" version from Ducati.

IDLES AND DRIVES AS IT SHOULD--NO MECHANICAL ISSUES. AN EVR DUCATI 48 TOOTH PERFORMANCE SINTERED CLUTCH PLATE SET WITH HARD ANODIZED CLUTCH BASKET IS INSTALLED. BIKE HAS DUCATI PERFORMANCE GEL SEATS, DUCATI HAND GUARDS, ADJUSTABLE CLUTCH AND BRAKE LEVERS, THROTTLE ROCKER FOR RIGHT GRIP, BATTERY TENDER LEAD, "FAR" MIRRORS WITH LED TURN SIGNALS DUCATI TANK PROTECTOR, UPGRADED MIRRORS, AFTERMARKET PULSING LED BRAKE LIGHTS (SKENEDESIGN P3's) FOR BETTER VISIBILITY, TALLER WINDSHIELD. Ducati MTS 1000sds. Clean, well maintained, garaged with a newer battery on a tinder, only a few hundred miles on Pirelli scorpions, pitbull rearstand. Incredible 1000S DS Multistrada with only 14,700 miles. New tires, very fresh service, new battery, and loads of custom aftermarket parts: Power Commander, Throttlemeister, Leather Sargent seat, Ferracci exhaust, Speedy Moto slipper clutch, Ohlins & Penske Suspension, clip-ons with Ducati steering dampener, new chain & sproket, adjustable controls & pegs. Great all around bike. Very torquey and maneuverable in the city and comfortable on longer rides. I just had a valve clearance check and adjustment done along with new Dunlop Q3 tires installed front and rear and a synthetic oil and filter change. The bike has never been down and is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical shape. Bike includes hard side bags and top case, carbon fiber front fender, carbon fiber cam covers, and a great sounding carbon fiber Termignoni exhaust. This is the S model which features fully adjustable Ohlins suspension front and rear and Brembo brakes.

The Ducati Multistrada 1000DS has been well taken care of in my garage and has only been ridden maybe 20 times (1,622 miles). The bike is almost brand new, pristine condition with the original tires and is all stock with no scratches. The price includes a pair of Ducati panniers with mounting kits that have never been installed and are in the original boxes. The price also includes a custom Corbin full grain leather detachable seat with backrest. The motorcycle has never been wrecked or laid down. There is hardly a spec of dust on this motorcycle. I also have motorcycle clothing (jackets, coats, pants, gloves) and helmets to be sold separately from this advertisement.
