This bike has not been used much for the several years, only 7000 miles but had full service at 6435 miles at Newport Beach Ducati. Registered. Rear tire shows wear, a few minor dings, otherwise in good condition. Some days the fuel gauge "goes Italian", but many types of Ducati's seem to have this problem. I took it to the dealer once to get it fixed, but on the way there it decided to work that day, so there was nothing to fix. I could have replaced the guage anyway, but even the 2015 gauges seem to have problems, so I just watch the mileage since the last fill up on days it is not working (like we all had to do up until about 20 years ago.) I bought the bike in 2007 with 4075 miles on it. I used it for a couple of years and did the 6000 mile service at 6435, but my girlfriend decided she did not like riding the Ducati (she liked my BMW better, it is not so quick and has a backrest and is easier to hang on to). This is a wonderful bike to ride on the road, a very comfortable upright riding position and very responsive. I want a comfortable upright riding position for long distances. A great long distance tourer and a great mountain twisties bike. Although it is advertised as a sport bike it is not quite as good on gravel or dirt roads, and I like taking out-of-the-way unpaved roads, which is another reason I have decided to stick with my BMW. I have ridden the Ducati very little over the last several years, only putting on about 600 miles by riding it a few miles every month to keep things lubricated and to keep the battery alive. New battery in March of 2017.It looked like it had never been down when I got it. The only time for me was when it fell over in the driveway when I was warming it up. It was stationary, the original factory kickstand was too long, it was on a tiny slope, and fell over either because of the engine vibration or a gust of wind. I have replaced the kickstand with the "after market" version from Ducati.

Ducati MTS 1000sds. Clean, well maintained, garaged with a newer battery on a tinder, only a few hundred miles on Pirelli scorpions, pitbull rearstand. Heated grips, Instrument panel replaced at 6k has 18k total miles(documented), new rear rotor, new chain, 12k service at desmoto SF. Recently serviced at marin speedshop.
