In October 2010 I bought what is call a BMW /2 “Conversion” Motorbike. It is constructed from taking a /2 bmw chassis (1955-1969), and implanting a /5 Engine (1970-1973). In the years since it has been completely rebuilt mechanically, while preserving it's look as an old bike. REAL 1966 R69s 1973 R75/5 motor with Siebenrock 1000cc Big Bore KitNew Nikasil cylinders. Stainless steel pushrod tubes. Lightweight 9.5:1 1000cc pistons . Dellorto carbs, Real Paul Dunstall Silencers (not copies), SUPER rare Sig Erson cam. New /5 and /2 wiring harness, Rear Fender Wires Replaced, Valeo Starter, Dyna Coil, Uli Electronic Ignition with adjustable Advance Curves, Omega Alternator, 12v AGM Battery, H-4 headlight, new handgrips, mirrors and turnsignals. All engine, transmission and Final drive seal replaced. Final drive rebuilt with new gear and spacer plate. Head redone: Valves, Guides, Springs, Pivots, lifters, and Hardened Valve Seats Timing Chain, Tensioner, Front crank bearing, and sprockets replaced, later model engine front cover installed. New period correct Metzler tires, stainless spokes, wheels trued, New High Friction Brake linings installed, wheel bearings packed. Total R90s Heavy Duty Clutch installed, Oil pump and cover. Engine Breather RARE tachometer installed, with specail cable to mate to the /5 engine. All shock absorbers replaced, swingarms greased and adjusted. All Bowden Cables replaced, Solo seat mounted back 3 inches,Stainless Seat Rail, Fibreglas Enduro Saddlebags, Small windscreen, EZ_clutch I reserve the right to pull this ad at any time, for any reason. I'm sure I am forgetting something, please feel free to ask serious questions! "How does It run?" I cant believe that in my effort to get all the mechanical details correct I did not talk at all about how it all works as a motorcycle. It starts, runs shifts and stops just fine! Because of the cam its happiest at higher revs, and drives like a regular R1000 engined bike until about 3500 rpm, and thats when the cam really comes on, then it pulls like a freight train! The Dellortos have accelerator pumps in them and are very responsive. The brakes have a high friction lining, but are still R69s drum brakes. As always, please message with any questions. I should mention that the full persormance potential of this bike has yet to be realized due to having less than 1000 miles on the new Seibenrock cylinders, pistons and rings.

I bought this GS at Daytona BMW. I have kept it for 10 years. Thats a record. I normally keep a bike for two or three years. I still enjoy riding this motorcycle a great deal. I bought a 2014 GS last year. This is to great a motorcycle to be sitting in my garage. It should be ridden and enjoyed. This motorcycle is in great shape. I would ride it anywhere. 1975 BMW R90/6 Only 14,458 ORIGINAL MILES!!!! This is my Brother's cherished Classic R90 Airhead. He is no longer able to ride, so it will soon have a fortunate new owner. Don't miss this opportunity to be the new OWNER of this, all original, low mileage, Black Beauty! It will be a sad day to see it go, as it has been a "member of the family" for nearly 2 decades. It is easy to see that this vintage German classic has been well cared for and garage kept since it was born 40 years ago. The awesome OEM alloy tool kit, as original, is included in the sale! Other than a minor ding in one of the exhaust pipes(as shown in picture), the Motorcycle is in exceptional condition! You are looking at a very nice 2009 BMW R1200RT. I don't have to tell you how amazing these bikes are to ride. Everything you read about them already does that. What I can tell you is that this particular bike is amazing. Garage kept it's entire life. Never laid down or tipped over. Adult owned since new. Never abused but always enjoyed. Dealer maintained. This bike runs perfect. Less than 100 miles on oil change. Brand new battery. Brakes and tires are in great condition. This bike really is ready to ride anywhere. Option equipment on this bike includes electronic cruise control. This cruise works just like the cruise in your car. Set the speed you want to go and the bike will maintain that speed even with small elevation changes. Tap the brake or clutch and the cruise will disengage. This bike has heated factory grips for those early or late season rides. Also added as a factory option is BMW's ASC Automatic Stability Control. Think of this system like traction control in your car. It uses engine management to help control rear wheel spin. There is even a plug in for a heated suit or jacket. For that extra storage room there is BMW's Topcase. This trunk alone almost doubles your storage capacity! For sale is a bike that I took in on a trade. It was the previous owners daily driver for 3 years and never let him down. The top end was rebuilt 5,000 miles ago. Bing carburetors were also rebuilt at that time. Everything works on the bike. No turn signals as you can see from the photos. Paint is an 'interesting' color, you'll definitely get noticed. It has been done well, nice and clean and reflective. New AGM leak-free battery as of 12/15/14.

The BMW R 60/2 VIN 1816703 was manufactured in 1968 and delivered on October 10th 1968 to the BMW importer Butler & Smith in New York City. The bike was equipped with a bench seat. -Andreas Harz, BMW Group Archiv Up for your consideration is an all original 1969 BMW R60/2. This bike has an honest 10k original miles!!! This is an absolute time machine that are almost impossible to find in this condition, they are either in parts or completely restored. A bike in this condition should keep appreciating and would make an excellent investment!! Of course the bike is numbers matching on the engine, frame and headstock. I have a clear title ready to transfer to you. This bike has the original wiring straps and the pinstriper's signature is under the tank. I believe that the front tire is original too. The only changes over the last 40 years seem to be; the rear tire, newer battery, newer and correct grips and a new gasket for the toolbox bolt. I am in awe of the originally of this bike!! The original owner specified the large touring tank and the bike is equipped with a chrome engine guard and taller bar and risers. This vintage bike starts on the first kicked after tickling the carbs and giving it a touch of throttle. There is no indication of any mileage over what the speedo reads; this bike has never been apart! I checked the rear splines and they are perfect, as pictured. The rear splines were greased, along with the original axle and the rear wheel replaced. I can deliver within the US for $1.50/mile loaded from my location.
