Great "James Bond" beemer with just 35000 miles. Comes with original Niewman leather side cases and new MSR screen. New rear brake rotor, new fuel pump, new battery. Super clean BMW Cruser. Always stored in a garage and it shows. Everything is just about perfect. You will feel like this just rolled off the showroom floor. Total miles are 13688. Obviously I didn't ride it all that much. I'm the second owner, and bought with less than 1,000 miles at the time. In 2004 a final special model of the R1200C Momtauk was presented of which only 350 units were built in Berlin, Germany. This Montauk is truely a collector's item with only 5298 original miles on it.

This is the second owner. The first was a man of 80 from Long Island, New York who had prchased this 'rig' from a BMW Dealership that was closing. He stored it in a warehouse, started it evry day ... and rode very little. This has been my favorite of a long line of vintage tiwn powered motorcycles, with the possible exception of a 1976 Lavarda 750. I have reached the time in life when I also have trouble riding. This is a one of a kind offer, modifications to the sidecar only, otherwise stock. The sidecar has been modified with an undercarage skidplate to prevent those little bits of stones and junk that one finds on the road from coming throught the fiberglass bottom of the sidecar. The additional weight of this balances the sidecar perfectly so you don't have it coming off the road when you don't want it to. The original owner stored a sandbag in the sidecar when he did not have a passager. The seat has been fastened down to the back. Ther is a lift up cover to the back storage, LED lights to the bottom of the skidplate, a step for entry to the sidecar, and best of all the top is hindged on the front so that it can be opened for much easier access to the sidecar. The sidecar also has the original removable factory cover which allows the pasanger to be dry and warm no matter how hard it is raining. The rider is protected only by a front fairing. The tires has been upgraded and replaced from the orignals due mostly to the dryrot of age in the original tires. A lightweit higher output 'Stinger' Batery has been fitted, and so if you have the endurance you could ride this bike from Canada to the tip of South America without problem. The R1200C engine is relentless with lots of touque and a highend speed that will blow away any Harly of the same age. This bike is beautiful and always draws attention even though in the pictures you see it is a little dusty from storage. As I said before this is my most precious posession, but it needs some that can ride. I hate to leave it just sitting and waiting in the garage.. Please contact me if you have any questions. It’d be downright disrespectful (not to mention wrong) to call BMW’s R 1200 C just a cruiser. No cruiser you’ve been on handles with this much precision. Fuel-injection technology and sheer brute force pump out 71 lb.-ft. of torque. An agile antidive Telelever front suspension soaks up the bumps. While antilock brakes deliver quick, controlled stopping power. It’s more than just a cruiser. A lot more. And you’ve got to respect that.
Beautiful 2001 BMW R1200C cruiser that’s a real head turner. I bought this bike new in California and rode it for two years till my daughter was born. It has been garaged and unused since. Extensive refurbishment done recently to prepare the bike for sale (over $2,500 spent). It is in excellent condition, great paint and leather, no scratches or marks. 2001 r1200 phoenix abs. under 14,000 miles and going up. I have alot of spare parts ( brake pads, spark plugs...) I also have a extra set of pipes and a seat. I also have the BMW book for it, as well as a note book of step by step insturctions I have made up from forums to fix any problem you could have with it. This bike is a amazing ride, Its by far my favorite cruiser I have ever driven. I am selling it because I recently moved to CO and have had a string of terrible luck. This is a pristine, near museum quality bike. No BS. If you are looking for a great example of BMW's Classic, this is your bike. Just over 2500 original miles. No scratches, dents, or flaws. Original tires. All original. Ivory and Navy with rear seat and saddlebags. Low saddle height for easy riding. Bike was garaged at high altitude and never ridden prior to coming to San Diego.
