Great "James Bond" beemer with just 35000 miles. Comes with original Niewman leather side cases and new MSR screen. New rear brake rotor, new fuel pump, new battery. This might very well be the cleanest, all around nicest standard R1200C we've had since we offered them brand new. Yes, it's a first year machine which for some could make it even more desirable and while we don't know the number of owners we believe the next person might be only number three. Bob personally hunted this one down and the last owner was a woman who was just not riding it often enough to keep holding onto it.It is definitely a low mileage, non-ABS machine with only a few, well selected extras and without a doubt has the best set of these near impossible to find wire spoke wheels you'll find on any bike. Of course the rest is pretty sweet too so keep reading. While some would argue that the Ivory with blue pinstripes was the bike to own since James Bond had one in Tomorrow Never Dies we've always been partial to BMW's black with white pinstripes combination. Whatever turns you on, this one is a stunning example.

Have you enjoyed your motorcycling life thus far? Have you had a few adventures along the way? Did you ever scratch yourself while having that fun? If so then you might be able to relate to this fine mid-weight BMW cruiser. We just wanted to point out at the very beginning that this otherwise beautiful and superbly running machine has a few very minor blemishes. And they really are minor. Our way of having a little fun at, well I guess our own expense.But this bike has a fantastic history and it's all well documented. Plus it started at Bob's as a new delivery back in august of 2005. The original and only owner kept fine records including all those we have on fine as well. We can give you a copy of the log book for your own record keeping going forward while the rest of the actual repair and service orders must remain with the permanent service history on the bike we keep.It last saw a fully all-encompassing service by an authorized BMW dealer in November of 2013 at just under 38,000 miles and then had an oil and filter change plus a new battery at just over 39,000 miles in the spring of 2015. By our high standards we needed to do some of it again along with some other freshening up.

1998 BMW R1200C, It always bothers us when an otherwise decent low mileage bike shows up not running and in this kind of neglected condition All because the past owner simply never rode the darn machine. We think there was only one but it’s possible two prior owners had this one in their respective garages. Back when it was still under warranty BMW covered replacement of some assorted parts due to the finish failing. And we’d guess based on what we now reviewed that it mostly suffered from not being regularly ridden, cared for, serviced or washed and polished now and then. But whatever the reasons behind its history all that adds up to a great opportunity for someone to grab a solid Bob’s PROJECT BIKE!This one was originally delivered outside this immediate area and ran out of BMW warranty back in February of 2001. From what we can determine the mileage is correct and original but this is impossible to know with 100% certainty. However the seller did sign off on a Federal Odometer statement so we’re pretty sure it is as shown. It is a standard BMW Cruiser with factory ABS or anti-lock brake system for any non-BMW owners looking at this. It has the factory high USA style handlebars, BMW cylinder guards which incorporate a set of relaxing highway foot rests and a leather riders seat with the very unique passenger pad which also flips up to become an adjustable 3 angle riders backrest – an expensive little factory option all by itself plus that aftermarket passenger backrest is now NLA and pretty hot stuff. The wire wheels were also standard but certainly not cheap stuff when new, just like the chromed valve covers and double wall headers.
