This is a Ducati Monster S4RS Tricolore. It is the last and fastest version of the original Monster with the 999S superbike engine, radial Brembo brakes, full Ohlins suspension, and lightweight Marchesini wheels. They were only available in 2008 with 400 being imported to the US and Canada. 275 came to the US and this is #83.This bike is original with the factory optional full Termignoni race system. This includes titanium exhaust, carbon fiber silencers, and race computer. This is good for a 13% power increase (per Ducati) and drops about 20 lbs.There are additional carbon fiber parts including the short tail, heel guards, smoke shield, and clutch cover. I have the stock pieces as wellThe tail light is updated to LED and the turn signal lenses are clear. 2008 Ducati Superbike 1098 S, Here's the deal. I just bought this bike--a dream bike that I have always wanted--I have had 5 Ducatis and by far this is the best. The best thing is the guy that owned it just spent $1600 on new tires, timing belts, new battery and oil change at AMS Ducati in Dallas about a year ago and put it up on stands with the rest of his collection. He went threw and put every piece of carbon fiber you could on this thing and a full(not a slip on) Termignomi exahaust. Even better, he included the rear tire stand and all of the original parts including the full original exhaust and ECU. He put a smoked windscreen(the original is also included). A week after I bought it, my house air conditioiner went out(that's $5K), the dog needs ear surgery, and my wife backed into the garage door! I know, suck's to be me. I have put about 150 miles on it and, again, by far the best Duc I have ridden and the exhaust note is unbelievable. When considering the price, the ones I see for sale typically are going to require at least a new rear tire. If they haven't had timing belts done in 7 years, then right there is between $500-$800 for the tire and belts. This one is good to go plus it has all the carbon fiber bits(all the bits are worth about $1000 to $1500--especially the clutch cover conversion). I want to keep it but the timing of everything sucks and I need it gone--at $11,500 I am already out money but this bike is flawless and I have all the receipts from AMS Ducati with all the mainenance.
