1987 Yamaha SRX 250, 12,300 miles, with lots of spare engine parts and a spare carb included. This is a pretty rare small bore sport bike: 6-speed trans, 4-stroke single, runs great, idles great, hits 65mph+ (it's definitely not a moped). I've owned it and taken care of it for the last 15 years. Spare parts include a complete engine, extra cylinder head, full set of carbs, extra cams, a few oil filters, original toolkit, service manual. All parts are included in the price. It's a great bike for beginners and experienced riders, it's just a ton of fun at any speed. Plus, it gets great gas mileage. The only downside: the bodywork isn't pristine (it's a vintage bike) with a crack in the lower chin fairing and some chips in places. The engine case covers and cylinder head could also use a respray. This bike has no business being so much fun. I've ridden bigger bikes, faster bikes, race bikes, older and newer bikes, but this one just has a character and fun-factor that nothing else has. I've owned this Yamaha for the last 15 years because it always makes me chuckle on twisty roads. It's not a rocketship, and it's not going to set any Bonneville records, but it's a lot more fun to ride than just about anything else I've ridden.Test Ride: https://youtu.be/roFyG6407E8I have a lot more pictures. Let me know if you're interested!

hello there here i have a classic might i add [vintage collectors item according to my late mechanic] The Yamaha Srx250 which was Yamaha way of competition with the kawasaki ex250 ninja, this bie was only availible in the United States for a short period of time throw 1986.5-1987 which was when they decided to end the production of this model here in USA; with that being said here is some information on the BikeI am selling.Well on this bike i have done some "restoration"small things to it I have replaced all hoses all around, also a new 90* fuel filter, cleaned the in-tank fuel filter which depending on its condition it will be a reusable unless its in real bad shape then you can always buy a new one although it isnt needed because you can always just replace the outter tank 90*"degree" fuel filter {in other words i am running the bike with 2 fuel filters}, cleaned out the carburatos and piston of all carbon build-up last week using seafoam{i to make sure it was all cleaned i kept doing this until it was clear of white smoke then ran it again just to make sure also let it soak for 72hrs recommended is 24 i went the extra step to really clean it with out a complete carb rebuild}, new bleeder kit, brakeline {flushed out the gunk and to ensure all gunk was out used air compresser to push everything out so its like a new brake line} did the same thing to the master cylinder, new barnett clutch, plates&springs"less then 500miles on them", new suspension up front provided by Progressive less then 800miles on springs along with new EBC rear brakes, less then 150 miles on the new rear which are not OEMspec it is Shinko 712 size 110/90-18 OEM SPECS is 100-90-18 could not find 100 so i went up to 110 size has not been a problem fits well looks nice, currently waiting for weather to get better to do another oil change i do not use synthetic oil because those where not around back then i am using 5w30 not to heavy but not to thin just right, new spark plug, bunch of extra gaskets i purchased for future oil changes, new exhaust gaskets and screws, also removed all the rust from the exhaust used naval gel did a few coates to get it all, found a 3 cracks and 2 holes on the exhaust which I mended up, repainted the exhaust matte black"looks Brand New" (can only put up 4 photos o if interested in this bike you must contact me for more info trying to get most out of the way now), owner before said they took care of the front brakes which i belive the work well dont squeek and stops all the time even before the cleaning of the brakeline and changing fluids, Also owner before me installed HIDs which work wonders at night  just my opinon. put alot into this bike and i dont want to let it go but i must. as you can tell ive put alot of work into it. great starter bike or for a collector or enthusiastic that knows how rare these are. Now a days there are not many of these on the streets every where i go people stop me to complement and ask questions, this is a 4stroke.
