This 1978 Yamaha SR 500 classic has recently been found in storage with less than 3350 miles. Upgraded and made to run like new with a Mikuni VM type carb and stainless steel exhaust. Never off road. Very clean.
This bike is basically brand new. I bought it in October 2016 from a dealer, it is now March 2017 and I rode it twice. I bought a warranty and it still is covered under that. Up for sale is my excellent 1978 Yamaha SR500. I've absolutely loved owning and riding this bike, however I'm moving to the mountains in Utah and it won't get the attention it deserves. It has always been garaged and has less than 16,000 miles on it (I have put 1,500 miles on it since I purchased it 2 years ago) and has less than 20 miles since its last service.Here is a video of a walk around: s://youtu.be/oFYYhUo6o3UThe title is clear, the registration is paid through April 2017 and it comes with the custom vanity plate "SEVNT8". I have never had any issues with it and everything runs absolutely great. I just installed a brand new Seat and super bright LED taillight and it comes with the old fender and light as well as 2 extra rear fenders. I'm happy to show it to locals or upload any additional pics or videos upon request. Disclaimer: There are no turn signals or horn installed, however the wiring is there. Just picked it up from its oil change/service. Everything checks out great! Just got a new valve cover gasket, fuel ratio is perfect, turns over with first kick (maybe 2 if its sat for over a week), and has a new Shorai LFX09L2-BS12 Extreme Rate Lithium Iron Battery so you never have to worry about a dead battery or the maintenance required of the old liquid batteries.
