I am looking to sell my moderately modified 2011 V Star 650 Custom with about 2700 miles on it. I purchased it new and it has had 5 oil changes (one just a few months ago) and is in excellent mechanical condition. The bike shows a little paint wear, but is overall in 8.5/10 condition I would say. If someone is willing to do a little paint work, the bike would be near perfect! With all the accessories and the price of the bike, everything would easily cost $6K to build now, I'm asking half of that! I really need to sell to pay bills. The biggest visible issue is a little ding on the top of the gas tank when a spray paint can fell off the shelf and dinged it over the winter. The bike has a bunch of parts painted flat black and a bunch of other cosmetic changes. I have some extra parts as well (including a custom XL Sportster gas tank that was welded onto the tunnel of an extra vstar tank I bought). I will also include a motorcycle jack that I only used a few time, was purchased last year from harbor freight for $80 or so. Is completely ready to go and a little bit of attention to the paint and cleaning the bike up (it has sat unused for the last year in my garage) will make it really shine See the bike running at http://youtu.be/tV4UQ9_pplg Here is a quick list of modifications: * Black Jet-Hot coated custom-welded Ankleblower exhaust * Custom Black Powdercoated Kuryakyn Velociraptor Velocity Stack air filter * Jetted carbs properly and synced them * A.I.S. Air Injection System (factory smog pump) properly removed with engine mounting brackets replaced so it looks stock. * Black oil filter relocation kit from the Extension Depot * Raised forks in tree * Flat track-style handlebars * Shorter control cables so there is less slack in the controls * Cafe style headlight with tach in it (tach not working at the moment, still have to get to wiring) * Black fork boots and roland sands handlebar riser-delete plugs since handlebars are mounted to fork tubes * Fork mounted LED "ring" turn signals * Small bullet turn signals in the rear * Trimmed license plate holder off of rear and added axle mounted led-lighted plate mount * Front rim to replace stock wire wheel with custom drilled rotor (from an older XVS Yamaha, bearings replaced with new ones) * Have a similar rear wheel that has been painted black and i have a new set of bearings to go in it so the bike can have tubeless rims front and back) * Black powdercoated Kuryakyn handlebar control covers * Saddleman seat * Rear end lowered 2" with PCS spring and mount kit * New battery * Ammo can mounted to swingarm for storage There are a few other things done too which I forget at the moment. I will likely put the old front rim back on for whoever buys it since the tire on the tubeless XVS rim is old and probably not safe for high speed riding. The bike needs a resistor soldered ($2 part, I just don't have time) to make the front led blinkers operate like factory and needs the tach hooked up (just time to tap a few wires in the headlight bucket). Even without these two things, the bike is fully functioning and, of course, rideable. The bike KBBs for $4200 or so in good condition. The custom pieces cost me at least $2000....I am taking a HUGE LOSS ON THIS BIKE BUT NEED TO SELL!!!!! This bike is certainly better than good condition and even with all the extra stuff I have added, I am only looking to get $2900 for it. Bike has NO LEINS on it and I HAVE THE TITLE IN HAND. I have attached 3 recent pics of the bike as well as one from earlier in the summer with the new tank just resting over the frame (that needs work to fit properly and clear the shorter bars). Feel free to contact me with any questions or to come take a look at it if you live in the NYC/Long Island area of New York. If the winning bidder does not come and pick up the bike locally, it is their responsibility to arrange for shipping of the motorcycle. I will help in any way possible such as bringing to a local shipping hub or facility, but any additional transportation/shipping arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the winning bidder. Thanks for looking!
