2010 Yamaha V Star 950, Curvey and powerful bike! Ready to hit the road and have some fun! 2010 Yamaha V Star® 950 Key Features: The V Star 950 won the prestigious Metric of the Year award in 2009 from V-Twin® Magazine. V Star 950 is the benchmark in the middleweight cruiser class, appealing to seasoned riders as well as those looking for a friendly entry-level cruiser. The air-cooled V-twin delivers plenty of distinctive, big-cruiser character and pulsing torque feel. Seat height is an extra- low 26.5 inches. The full-sized chassis has a long, low look and provides spacious comfort. Handling is sporty and responsive, great for curvy back roads and commuting around town as well as open- highway cruising. The 942cc 60° V-twin engine is both simple and sophisticated. Sure, there s no-fuss air cooling for traditional looks. But inside you ll find the reason for the surprisingly spirited performance: four-valve cylinder heads, ceramic- composite-lined cylinders, forged aluminum pistons, and fuel injection. The meticulously tuned 2-into-1 exhaust system has a throaty exhaust note, and also 3-way catalyst technology to reduce air pollution. The carefully designed chassis contributes to an exceptionally light feeling riders are sure to appreciate. The double-cradle steel main frame offers an ideal rigidity balance in the longitudinal, lateral, and torsional directions, using the engine as a stressed member. With the engine mounting position slightly forward for optimum front-rear weight distribution and its large, 18-inch front wheel, V Star 950 has outstanding handling performance. We call the V Star 950 s streamlined styling New Style Classic. Designers used the influence of a single, horizontal line along the entire body, almost as if the wind has sculpted the machine. The long, low look is accentuated by the headlight and low-profile fuel tank, and the openness around the engine and front wheel highlight the bike s light appearance. Features & Benefits Egine:The 57.5 cubic inch (942 cc) engine is an air-cooled SOHC 60° V twin. With four valves per cylinder, a pent-roof shaped combustion chamber, and 9.0:1 compression ratio, this engine has been carefully designed to produce excellent power characteristics and best-in-class acceleration. To keep friction loss to a minimum and help the engine achieve the ideal performance characteristics, special compact roller-type rocker arms with needle bearings are used. These also reduce top-end wieght for excellent mass centralization. The combustion chamber shape was precisely engineered to direct the fuel air charge into the center of the piston for faster combustion and maximum power. Ceramic-composite plated cylinders provide excellent heat dissipation and reduced oil consumption.Chassis/Suspension:The steel double-cradle frame is long and low, contributi

1988 Yamaha YSR50U, Tiny but fun bike! :// /yamaha-ysr-50---80.htmlYamaha YSR 50 and YSR 80 sport models goes on sale in Japan in 1986, and had the look of a re-shaped, scaled-down YZR500 factory racer that appealed to the spirit of race enthusiasts in a playful way. The 2-stroke single-cylinder engine had a maximum output of 7 ps for the 50cc and 8.8 ps for the 80cc, a return type 5-speed transmission, front disc brake and other features to offer full-fledged sport riding potential. It became a standard in the mini-bike races popular at the time. 1992 was the last year of production, and the price was 189.000 yen for the 50cc and 211.000 yen for the 80cc.

11,485 miles, good condition, garaged, full price includes additional Plexifairing III windshield with mounts. minor scratches on tank from previous owner's keys. Muffler scrape is not from this bike being down. When I bought this bike the mufflers had been gutted and it was too loud to ride for long distances. I bought the current exhaust used and it came with the scrape. Not noticeable unless you look for it. This is a good value for a classic cruiser. Low seat height is great for smaller riders and entry level. Well cared for and well maintained, runs like a champ with plenty of power for all around cruising, even two up. Saddle bags are new and waterproof with enough capacity for overnight trips. Buy now, price will go up if I still have it when the weather warms up. Shipping can be arranged at your cost.

2004 Yamaha Raptor 660R, Nothing was quite as comfortable in the dunes with a wide variety of riders as the Raptor. The snappy power of the big engine was well suited in the dunes; it was appreciated by casual riders for its ease of use and abundant power, while more advanced riders employed the grunt to launch the machine skyward. http://www.atvrider.com/yamaha-660r-raptor Sand whoops were also tackled easily by the big machine: Big travel, big power and relatively light weight (about middle of this pack) made for easy whoop skimming. The only time the high cg reared its head was with a tendency to wheelie on the throttle, but even the most timid riders weren't intimidated in the sand. No hill was out of easy reach with the Raptor. The Yamaha was perhaps least suited to motocross. Its tall stance served it well only in whoops. Cornering was best done by slowing to a crawl with the very good brakes, flicking it around the corner and opening up the big powerplant, as carrying any speed in the corners was asking to be dropped on your head. Adding to the Raptor's pain on the track were its Dunlop radials (also mounted to the Suzuki/ Kawasaki), which were particularly ill-suited to such duty--grabbing too much when you least wanted them to, yet letting go when you needed the traction most. Jumping was good, with long-travel, plush suspension, but as stated before, the stock carbs could cause some sputtery landings. Ironically for the big-motored machine, technical trail riding was its forte. Wide-open trails and washes made it handle nervously so it never felt very settled in corners. In uneven terrain, however, the torquey powerplant, trail-oriented tires and long-travel suspension all conspired for a fun, controllable ride. On our day in Nevada's mountain trails, it was a fast favorite of all assembled. One rookie learned to wheelie on the Raptor, while one of our racers mentioned that he'd forgotten how much fun the Raptor was in stuff like this. While excelling in dunes and tight trails, the tall-feeling Raptor was a dramatic let-down in any sort of high-speed maneuvering. This big-time motor (uncorked with minimal money) needed a big-time chassis--wider, shorter and lighter--to let it really shine. Still, a real winner in the areas it worked best in. http://www.atvrider.com/yamaha-660r-raptor

I didn't think I'd ever do this, but the time has come to sell my bike. I've owned everything from a Ducati 1198S, to a Ducati 999R and an April RSV4 Factory (and so many more), but this is hands down my favorite sport bike I've ever owned. My ONLY reason for selling it is that the money from the sale needs to go to the purchase of a new car for our family. The bike in question is a 2009 Yamaha R1 with the crossplane engine. It has 12XXX miles on it and has always been stored in a garage and properly maintained. There is NO damage on the bike whatsoever, not even a rock chip. It's never been wrecked or dropped either. As far as mods go, I've done quite a bit to it, so here's a list of what I can remember off the top of my head: - Ohlins TTX Shock (will include for an extra $700) - Graves smog block off plates - Akrapovic Evolution full system titanium / carbon fiber exhaust - Power Commander V - Power Commander Quick Shifter - Flash Tune - Dyno tuned by News @ 2 Wheel Dyno Works - Custom LED Integrated Taillight (w/ brake force strobes) - Zero Gravity Double Bubble Windscreen - 2012+ Front End Conversion (all parts were purchased brand new from the Yamaha dealer) - Superspox Stealth Sprockets (-1 in the front) - EK MVXZ Gold 530 Chain (chain and sprockets have 10 miles on them total) - Frame Sliders - Swingarm Sliders - Factory Solo Cowl - ASV Levers (Standard Length) As far as maintenance goes, the oil was changed 200 miles ago, the tires have around 85% tread left on them, and the chain and sprockets were replaced 10 miles ago. All the maintenance has been performed by me. This bike needs NOTHING whatsoever. It's pristine, it's flawless, and it has a clean Oregon title. If you want a well sorted R1 that really gets up and goes, this is the bike for you. The crossplane R1 is a bit numb from the factory due to the restrictive exhausts and the horrible, horrible factory tune. This thing has been completely opened up and it's like an entirely different machine. If you haven't ridden a crossplane R1 with a flash tune (and a dyno tune), then believe me when I say that you have NOT experienced a true R1. The bike currently has the stock shock on it, but if the buyer wants to give me an extra $700, I'll include a brand new Ohlins TTX shock (in the original box) setup for a 190 lb rider. If you don't want the shock, that's fine. I can easily sell it for $700 any day on the R1 Forum. I currently owe money on the bike loan still, but since it's financed through Unitus Credit Union, you just have to come into the bank with me, pay the bank, and they'll give you the title. Very, very easy, done it before numerous times. I'm asking $8000 FIRM for the bike. Look around and I honestly don't think you'll find a nicer crossplane R1 than this one. The exhaust alone was a whopping $3000! Not to mention all the other mods I've got on here are extremely tasteful, and exactly what you'd want to do to any R1 you picked up.
