The Yamaha GTS 100 is a sport touring motorcycle introduced in 1993. It is notable for its forkless front suspension specifically called a RADD, Inc., front suspension designed by James Parker. This suspension provided improved stability under braking. The GTS also had advanced technologies not found on most bikes at the time, such as electronic fuel injection, ABS brakes and a catalytic converter. The engine was taken from the Yamaha FZR 1000 and incorporated Yamaha Genesis engine technology and made 100bhp.In 2006, Bike magazine declared the Yamaha GTS 1000 the coolest of rare motorcycles. "Scarce, stylish, yet capable and completely useable."I have owned this bike for about five years and had a complete tune up and service done by Honda/Yamaha of North Hollywood. I replaced the rear tire and battery about a year ago. The bike runs great and handles like a dream. It only needs a few body improvements to be perfect. A rare bike that gets a lot of attention where ever I go.It has many extras such as a custom Corbin seat, leather tank cover and travel bag. Givi frame and 3 boxes. I also have the original seat that comes with the bike. It also has a deer siren and highway pegs.

For those of you who don't know, this is Yamaha's legendary halo bike of the early 90s and Bike Mags "coolest of the cool" bike winner. Only imported for 2 years in the states. Fuel injected, catalytic converter, ABS (Yes it works flawlessly!), throttlemeister, soft saddle bags and tank bag, 12V connector, Laminar Lip. New battery and oil and filter change with Yamaha filter and Amsoil synthetic. Corbin seat. Only Zaino paint protection products used. 46k. Excellent Michelin Pilot Sports. Starts every time first crank. Purchased in 2012 from a level IV Honda tech with 40k miles. Rode back from Sacramento with no problems. Been riding for over 50 years and hands down this is the most stable bike I've ever been on. Was gonna keep forever but life challenges cropped up so it's a sad day but you gotta move on. Worth every penny and probably more given its' scarcity. Email for more photos & videos: Title in hand. Serious buyers only, not lookie-Lou's and tire kickers.

Own a piece of history. This is a rare vintage M/C. We were not sure what to make of the GTS 1000 when it materialize back in 1993. Who you ask, it was either a technical note or a new chapter in motorcycle chassis design. James Parker's pioneering parallel-arm RADD front end was the star of the show, but Yamaha didn't stop there. Tuned for mid range thrust rather than top end, the 20 valve FZR are derived four arrived with Nippon Denso EFI and a three-way catalytic converter upstream over the single muffler-both first for Yamaha four stroke. The package was nicely sorted right out of the box. Fuel metering is quite good, and through flattening the torque curve for sports-touring during duty reins horsepower output to 100 hp at 9000 RPM, the test bike covered the quarter mile in 11.67 seconds at 113.7 mph and hit 141 mph at the top of the fifth gear. That's quicker and faster than Hondas ST 1100, but well behind the 10.31 seconds/ 135.7 mph logged by Kawasaki's 175 mile-per-hour ZX 11. But the Yamaha is much smoother, even while flirting with triple digits. Led by a single six piston caliper squeezing may ventilated 330 mm front rotor, ABS assisted brakes were the class of the class. Range is a bit short: a 5.3 gallon tankful last about 215 freeway miles. One owner, low mileage, Halogen Head Light, Aeroflow Windshield, Tank Bra, Corbin Seat, Carbon Fiber Rear Fender, Polished Rims, Yoshimura Racing Muffler, Maintained by Lee Cycle.
