1986 Yamaha Fj1200 S, This bike was my Dad's since 1987. I inherited it in 2001. I rode it about 3500 miles and parked it in 2008 when I got into Muscle cars. I want it to go to a good home, someone who will appreciate and use it. I dropped the tank while installing the fuel line to the petcock. The pic shows it. Also, the left fairing side scoop needs some bondo and a repaint white. Other than those minor things, it has 18000 original miles and runs well for a carbed machine. 1990 Yamaha Fj1200 A, This is a 1990 FJ1200 with VANCE&HINES SS2 full exhaust system and jet kit. R1 monoblock brake calipers with stainless steel brake lines and new EBC HH brak pads. New Michelin pilot road 3 front tire and new Avon AV46 radial rear tire. Engin guards, luggage rack and HAGON shock. The motor starts and runs but only on 3 cylinders!!! The #2 cylinder(from left to right) has no compression(most likely a stock open valve). I have no funds to fix it, so I have to sell it as is. 1991 Yamaha Fj1200 B, UP FOR SALE IS AN EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN 1991 YAMAHA FJ1200 WITH 34,500 MILES. IT IS MECHANICALLY SOUND AND IS AN ABSOLUTE BLAST TO RIDE. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL, VINTAGE SPORT TOURING BIKE THAT I RIDE EVERYWHERE. I WOULDN'T HESITATE TO RIDE THIS THING TO CALIFORNIA. I'VE HAD IT FOR ABOUT 10 YEARS AND I'VE ALWAYS WANTED A BMW. I GUESS NOW IS THE TIME TO MOVE ON BEFORE I GET TOO OLD. THE BIKE HAS BEEN ADULT CARED FOR AND NEVER ABUSED. IT HAS BEEN PROPERLY MAINTAINED AND ALWAYS GARAGED. IT IS ALL ORIGINAL WITH NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS. THERE ARE A FEW COSMETIC FLAWS AS NOTED BELOW. THE BIKE HAS NEVER BEEN WRECKED AND THE TITLE IS CLEAR. IT IS A FOUR CYLINDER 1200 CC MOTOR WHICH IS CARBURETED. THERE ARE NO LEAKS OF ANY KIND AND IT STARTS RIGHT UP. EVERYTHING WORKS - GUAGES, HEAD LIGHT, BRAKE LIGHT, TURN SIGNALS, DIGITAL CLOCK, HORN, ETC. NO ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. COSMETIC FLAWS; 1) THE PAINT ON THE TOP OF THE TANK IS DISCOLORED DUE TO MY TANK BAG MAGNETS. I CANNOT SEEM TO GET IT OUT NO MATTER HOW MUCH I WAX IT. 2) A SMALL PIECE OF THE LOWER FAIRING BROKE OFF JUST BEFORE THE BACK MOUNTING BOLT (BELOW THE SHIFTER). THIS HAPPENED ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO AND THE LOWER FAIRING STAYS IN PLACE JUST FINE WITHOUT IT. 3) THE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER LEAKED BRAKE FLUID ONTO THE FAIRING AND DISCOLORED THE PLASTIC AND STICKER JUST BELOW IT. A MASTER CYLINDER REBUILD KIT WAS PUT IN AS SOON AS THE PARTS WERE DELIVERED BUT THE DAMAGE WAS ALREADY DONE. 4) THE BLACK PLASTIC ON THE REAR RIGHT BLINKER IS BROKEN. I JUST 'SPLINTED' IT BUT IT IS AN EASY FIX IF YOU CHOOSE TO BUY A NEW BLINKER ASSEMBLY. INCLUDED WITH THE SALE; - ALREADY MOUNTED BRAND NEW FRONT AND BACK TIRES. - I PUT THE STOCK WINDSHIELD BACK ON, BUT I USUALLY RIDE IT WITH MY RIFLE TOURING WINDSHIELD SHOWN IN MOST OF THE PICS. - I HAVE A SET OF TOUR MASTER TOURING BAGS THAT GO WITH IT. - ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL. $1,950.
