Beautiful V-Star 650 Classic with just over 100 miles on it. This bike has a bit of a story. It was bought new in 7/08 by my girlfriend's brother in law after he took the MSF riders course and got an M license. He thought it would be a fine idea to own a bike, but after riding it a couple of times he decided the whole motorcycle thing was not for him. He then rolled it to the back of his garage and never started it again.It sat there until he married the GF's sister last year, when he asked me to help move it to his new home. It then sat in that garage for a year, until the wife said to use it or lose it. On a whim I offered to buy it and so now I have it in my garage instead. I have brought it back to life by:•Installing a new Yuasa battery•Washing out the tank•Disassembling, cleaning and balancing the carbs•Changing the brake fluid•Oil and filter changeWhen I bought it it had all of 45 miles on the clock, it now has 101 on it after getting it going and taking it out for some test riding to be sure all is well. I just went for a 50 mile ride both on the street and highway. It runs great, and is a really nice ride. It's got some pitting in the chrome in some places, particularly on the rear crankcase cover. Lots of small dots but no rust. Other than that she's a beauty. It has the factory leather saddlebags with the hard inserts and stand-offs, I don't have them on the bike in the pics since I think it looks better without them.The tool set went missing after being used to take off the battery cover at some point. He's looking for it, but I can't guarantee it will turn up. If it happens to show after I sell the bike I'll make sure it gets to the buyer.I am selling it since I don't need a second bike, but it sort of kills me to do it. It's like a mini version of my Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe, and they make a great looking pair of black cruisers in the garage.This is a great machine for someone looking for a first bike, or a guy or gal who wants a lighter bike with a very low seat height. Great condition 2005 Yamaha V-star Classic. Only 17,000 miles. Brand New memory foam cruiser seat as well as brand new saddle bags. Has installed radio as well. Within the last year has had regular maintenance, tune up, new spark plugs, new battery. A Must See!!!! This is a great motorcycle for cruising around town. Been taken care of, just no longer have discretionary time due to the birth of my child. Let me know what you think. I am willing to move on the price.
