I have a classic unique Ural motorcycle bike for sell or trade. I'm in to restoring older bikes a drove this one most of last summer. Started adding the original handlebars but I'm running out of space with the restore of other bikes. Really would love to finish and keep it, but I can get 3 more project bikes in the space I have this one. A little history on the Ural/ Dnepr. In 1940, the Soviet Union acquired the design and production techniques for BMW R71 motorcycles and sidecars. The first M-72 model was finished in 1941. Originally, factories were to be located in Moscow, Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg), and Kharkov, but due to the approach of Nazi German troops, the Moscow facilities were moved to Irbit, and the Leningrad and Kharkov facilities to Gorkiy (now called Nizhny Novgorod). A similar model is the Soviet (now Ukrainian) Dnepr motorcycle. Both Ural and Dnepr motorcycles are sometimes known by the generic name, "Cossack motorcycles," which was used between 1973 and 1979 by SATRA in the United Kingdom. Now back to this bike: This is a mix or the Ural and Dnepr. The story goes; to get it thru customs, the bike was shipped in parts and rebuilt. The Title and paper has it as a 42 BMW but all the serial number stamps show its a Ural/ Dnepr. Looking to Sell or Trade for a Classic 1960- 1974 Honda, Yamaha or BMW motorcycle. Also interested in bobbers, cafe racer either Honda, Yamaha or Harley. Will post better pictures this weekend. It's better if you text me with a link of what you have to trade or cash is good too.
