This southern California bike has been owned and pampered, properly maintained and garage kept by a Motorcycle Safety Foundation instructor and motorcycle manufacturer trained technician since buying the bike in 2007 with 2,000 miles on the odometer. This Speed Triple is going to be one of the best running and cleanest you’ll find. It is mostly original but with custom red and blue racing stripes on original Fusion White paint, white powercoated wheels with reflective red pinstripes, and black powercoated headlight shells. Also includes multi-adjustable black rearsets, OEM carbon fiber tank protector, TechSpec Snake Skin Tank Pads, owner’s manual, maintenance records, and full tool kit. The bike received a recent service with oil change (754 miles ago), has newer tires, chain and rear brake pads, and is wired for a Battery Tender. The front and rear suspension has been overhauled with new bearings, seals, and bushings, higher-rate front springs (stock springs are also supplied), and revalved damping. The bike has 37,029 miles and has never experienced any mechanical issues. The reason for the very low price is the reconditioned title. The bike was involved in a minor incident where it fell on the ground. As the bike previously had many expensive aftermarket accessories ($3,500 in value) that were damaged and the footpeg mounting bracket tab cracked, it was deemed that the replacements and repairs would cost more than the stock value of the bike. After parts replacement and professional repair the only damage the bike has are very minor scratches on the radiator guard. The bike passed a thoroughly inspection by the CHP and DMV and is fully titled. Current Kelly Blue book value of a 2007 Speed Triple is $5,545 and the Cycle Trader average is approximately $5,300. For the $3,999 OBO asking price you’ll be getting a bike in excellent cosmetic and running condition for $1,500 less than you could buy one elsewhere!
