This allowed us to increase the torque and engine speed, giving you more power. Amazingly, we could achieve all this whilst maintaining an overall narrow and compact package. Power is up from 125ps to 128ps and from 73Nm to 75Nm. By increasing the rev limit to 14,400 rpm, with a larger bore and shorter stroke, the engine is now even more responsive to rider input. Peak power is now at 12,600rpm running up to that new redline, and with more power delivered more smoothly throughout the rev range roll the throttle and you ll be rewarded with instant drive. To give the motor more air to breathe, we increased the size of the air intake and channelled the airflow through the headstock, so we can force even more air in and create more power. The new engine now operates with twin injectors per cylinder, which are both compact and provide more accurate fuelling. Revised mapping has helped boost the torque throughout the rev range. But we ve also made this Daytona engine cleaner and therefore more fuel-efficient. A more powerful triple engine, revving at higher speeds, demanded the highest specification valves. And that s where the Speedmaster stands out even more, with an air-cooled twin that is steeped in our long and colourful heritage. All this means you have a highly capable motorcycle that has a great feel and delivers satisfying performance every single day. That s what makes it such good value for money. Features May Include: The Look The look of the Speedmaster is dominated by the 19 cast aluminium front wheel with single disc brake and skinny tyre, giving a classic chopped hot-rod look. Emphasising the Speedmaster s resolutely dark attitude even further a whole host of components from wheels to bars and headlights to foot controls get the black treatment for 2015. Five years after Triumph introduced the popular 1,050 cubic-centimeter Sprint ST sports touring bike, the British marque has introduced a new model with greater practicality and more emphasis on the 'touring' aspect of 'sports touring': the Triumph Sprint GT. As you would expect from a British machine wearing the famous Grand Tourer tag, the Sprint GT delivers outstanding real world performance in a practical and stylish package. But this should not be construed that the Sprint GT has lost the sporting edge that made the Sprint ST one of the most popular and enduring bikes in the Triumph range. Of course, practicality is the GT's hallmark. The bike also features new 31 liter panniers, standard ABS brakes, a 200-mile fuel range, an optional top box that is capable of accommodating two full-sized helmets, and a 12 volt power supply that allows 'on the go' charging of electrical items such as laptops and mobile phones. The result is a motorcycle with a different feel to the Sprint ST, biased more towards the 'touring' side of sports touring than the Sprint ST's 'sports' - a composed machine with precise and intuitive handling to keep up with sports bikes on demanding roads, but equally delivering the comfort required for a long two-up ride cross-country.
