Up for Sale is a beautigul 1979 Triumph Bonneville T-140D (Special). My good friend was diagnosed with cancer and heart disease two and a half years ago and passed this past May. His wife has asked me to help her sell the bike and find a new home for it.  I've inspected the bike myself and have found the following items that she will need done to make her whole again.  The bike has been laid up since he took ill so, the battery will need replacing, the front caliper is frozen, tank is dry and carbs may be calcified or gunked up. A mechanic worth his salt could clear these issues at a reasonable cost.  As such, the final selling price will reflect the cost to straighten her out.  As a side note, this was his baby.  It has been garaged its entire life, never ridden in the rain or snow and never left outside.  It is currently residing in the garage under three layers of sheets.  The battery had been removed back when he took ill and is why I've listed it as needing replacement.  Realize that my friend was a die hard Triumph rider and an adult who owned this bike for over 36 years and maintained it like it was just bought.  I forgot to mention that it has never gone down nor has it ever been involved in an accident. All of this year Bonnevilles were equipped with 5 Speed Gearboxes.  IBike was purchased new by my friend back in 1980-81 time frame.  Original bill of sale is available to purchaser.  He has also had this bike featured in Vintage Bike Magazine in 2000-1 issue.  In that story, he has listed all the work done on the bike to make it traditional or like a classic Triumph.  I have the article available if I can't download.  There are original Triumph manuals included with this bike as well as outside sourced catalogs.  I have included as many photos as possible. Terms are simple: $500 deposit paid by the winning bidder at close of Auction.  Buyer is responsible for arranging shipping or pickup from Southern New Jersey.  Balance of CASH or CERTIFIED BANK CHECK due before release of Clear Title.  Check will clear before release also.  Deposit will be forfeited should buyer back out.I have described this motorcycle as best as possible and offer no warranty implied or otherwise.  Bike is sold as is, where is.Please email any questions you may have.  If you are serious, get a hold of me via my business card (look at last photo) and I can send you the article from Vintage Bike Magazine.  It tells you in my friends own words what he has done to this bike and is very informative.  Mind you, all his efforts have won numerous awards at car shows around NJ and PA.  It needs a good home.NADA Book ValuesExcellent           $6,800 Very Good        $4,145 Good                $2,855 Fair                  $2,210 PoorN/A

This is a brand new, never started, Silver Jubilee Limited Edition model (T140VJ) - possibly the only one in this condition in the USA. The motorcycle that made history. In 1977 Triumph of Great Britain celebrated the Silver Jubilee of her Majesty the Queen of England with 1,000 of these machines imported into the USA. This was Triumphs way of honoring the Silver Jubilee celebrations. Each Jubilee was hand crafted in a striking combination of silver and chrome accented with red, white and blue striping. A most distinctive seat in blue complemented the styling. Certainly a motorcycle like no other on the road. Specially designed commemorative badges are mounted on the tank and side panels with each buyer receiving his own personal certificate of ownership. This bike comes with the original framed certificate of ownership (#706) and a framed original brochure from the dealer. This is a matching numbers bike, will be the ultimate collectors prize and will surely only increase in value as it reaches its half century. Everything on this bike is original - it even has the original instructions on how to fill the battery with acid!  I am happy to send some high resolution pictures and show the bike by appointment to any interested party.   Shipping is the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

Own a classic! New/rebuilt engine with new wheels, aluminum calipers, electronic ignition and much MUCH, over $12,000 invested. Odometer shows 31 miles, but like everything else on the bike it's been renewed/replaced/upgraded, actual mileage unknown. Triumph's T140 Bonneville is the obvious choice for a first British classic bike. Here's why... First off, they don't cost a fortune, so you can try an old Brit bike to see if you enjoy the experience without mortgaging the cat. Second, there are heaps of 750 Triumphs on the market at any time, so you have plenty to pick and choose between. Production of the 750s started in 1973 with the twin-carb T140V Bonneville and the single-carb TR7V Tiger, direct descendants from the Speed Twin all those decades earlier. The first few 750s were actually 724cc but the vast majority are 744cc (76mm by 82mm) from 1974-onwards. The 750 Triumphs do everything fairly well although they tend not to excel at one thing in particular - apart, perhaps, from steering rather more sharply than some lumbering four-cylinder contemporaries from overseas. Financing (see our online credit application), credit cards, trade ins and consignments welcome. Or have a bike to sell? We pay top $$$$. 1977 TRIUMPH Bonneville T140, Gorgeous, beautifully running 1977 Triumph Bonneville T140V. Starts on the first kick! Left foot shift opposed to right (just made the cut off as that change became effective in 1976). Front & rear disc breaks! No pitting, rust, blemishes, nothing. The seat is in excellent condition. Headlight, tailight, and turn signals work flawlessly. Tires in good condition and have plenty of tread left (but we have an extra set for you anyway!) Couldn't ask for a cleaner, nicer old Triumph and we are proud to have it in our Garage!
