2005 TGB Laser R9 , What I have for sale is a 2005 TGB laser 150cc scooter that has been rebuilt with performance in mind. First off, this scooter is manufactured in Taiwan, NOT CHINA. http://www.kbb.com/motorcycles/tgb/laser-303r-150/2005-tgb-laser-303r-150/suggestedretailvalue/?categoryname=scooter What has been done: -It has a dual ramp variator that boosts acceleration while maintaining top speed. -Gates Kevlar belt. -New aftermarket clutch and clutch bell. -The motor has a 170cc kit installed with a forged piston, "NOT CHEAP CAST MADE PARTS". -Port and polished large valve head with high performance cam. -Oversized 30mm carb with a pod filter. -Full custom carbon fiber exhaust. -New front and rear brakes. -New front and rear tires. -Front forks have been rebuilt. CONS: -Could use new rear shocks. -Needs new speedometer cable. -Could use a brighter headlight. The rear shocks have little oil left in them, they can not be rebuilt. The ones I was looking to get cost $250-$300 and I just hadn't bit that bullet yet. The shocks along with the speedo cable not working, they have been this way for about a year and have not affected the ride. I cruise at the speed of traffic and the shocks still work decent enough to not worry about it. As for the headlight, there's more light coming from the street lights than there is from the headlight. An aftermarket small LED spot light might do some justice. 21,xxx mi on it. Have put 4,000mi since rebuild. With proper maintenance, has another 15,000mi in it. This isn't your typical campus queen scooter, 0-60 in 11sec (which is pretty good for a scooter), and has been GPS'd 78mph. I'm not claiming this to be a race bike. 2005 TGB Laser R9 , Im selling my 2005 TGB scooter in like new condition. I bought it in April from a neighbor who bought it new from Columbia Scooters in Portland. He rode it home, parked it in his garage and never got his endorsement, so it sat unused. When I bought it, it had 7 miles on it, now there are 940. I have done regular oil changes and recently put a new battery in. It is a great commuter and gets about 80mpg. It cost under $5 to fill it with midgrade gas. 940 MILES! I will also include a New Fulmer 2XL Modular Helmet if you want.
