Stock description: The Suzuki RM-Z450 gives you the power to dominate the competition. The 2011 and 2012 RM-Z450 both took home Cycle World's “Best Motocrosser” in its annual “Ten Best Bikes” awards. Following the 2011 RM-Z450’s sweep in the award two years prior, Cycle World praised the 2012 model’s powerful engine, smooth throttle response and excellent handling capabilities that made it the clear winner in this year’s awards. For 2013, the RM-Z450 is redesigned to give you an even greater edge. With a thoroughly refined engine, it develops exceptional power from idle to redline and incredibly crisp throttle response. It also features the innovative new Separate Function front Fork (SFF) from Showa. The front suspension works with an updated twin-spar aluminum frame engineered for an optimum balance between rigidity and high-speed traction, providing you with incredibly precise handling and smooth performance on the toughest tracks. The 2013 RM-Z450 uses the innovative 2011 coupler system design, which consists of three couplers that allow you to quickly adjust the fuel setting to suit riding conditions. One coupler contains the stock settings, a second is for a richer fuel setting than the stock setting and the third is for a leaner setting. All-new Showa Separate Function front Fork (SFF) separates spring and damping functions. The right leg holds the spring, while the left leg incorporates the cartridge assembly to manage damping. The SFF design reduces friction, increased absorption performance and is lighter weight resulting in remarkably smooth performance over a variety of track conditions. Engine Redesigned muffler internal parts, bottom-to-mid range power and torque are increased, resulting in improved performance without losing top end. The new muffler body uses conventional bolts in end cap instead of rivets to simplify the replacement of the glass wool packing in the muffler. Compact and lightweight 4-stroke, 449cc, fuel-injected, DOHC engine provides extraordinary torque for awesome acceleration from idle to redline, with incredible high-rpm power.
