1981 GS 450 L Suzuki 30,928 mi. Garaged for 36 years, one owner, as high a state of cosmetic excellence that could ever be expected. Truly collectors quality. Here's the kicker: Registered, insured, and driven every single year. The reason I held the mileage to just under a 1000 miles per year is: I also own a 1993 FXLR H-D with 94,755 mi. This might very well be the best example of a 1981 GS 450 L available. Call 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM eastern time...........any day. 410 627 4901. Come here and drive it to anywhere in the Country. ( Ask about 2 helmets....windshield....OSI soft trunk pack and cover......also shop manual and ALL paperwork from original purchase date back in 1981)

We don't often get versatile, high end, cosmetically clean and fun bikes like this GSXR1000 that happen to drop into the PROJECT BIKE category but we think there are enough home wrenches, enthusiasts and potential next owners who might want to have a track bike or street machine who would enjoy or prefer taking care of the very easy and mostly routine maintenance based stuff it needs that we've selected to offer it up that way vs. doing all that ourselves and offering it up complete. Let's see what happens!
The Suzuki V-strom 650 is undoubtedly one of the most popular middle-weight dual sport bikes you can buy. The liquid-cooled 90° 650cc motor gives plenty of power when you need it and a fun easy ride for around town. 2012 saw a new generation of the V-strom; bringing us a newer – fresher – look, more power, more suspension travel, less weight, and a boost to low-to-mid range torque.
