1998 Suzuki GSF 1200, Rip Roaring and Mean!! - The GSF1250 range is launched. It has a new petrol injection, water-cooled engine which is compliant with Euro 3 emission regulations.[14] The new engine generates similar power and torque to the earlier 1,200cc engine but the torque of 108 N·m (80 lbf·ft) is available at the lower engine speed of 3,750 RPM.[15] An auxiliary balance shaft reduces engine vibrations. The GSF1250 also has a new six-speed constant mesh gearbox with the input shaft mounted below the crankshaft to reduce the length of the engine. This allows a longer swing arm for improved handling.

2004 Suzuki Bandit 1200S (GSF1200S), LOW MILES - The Suzuki Bandit 1200 is known for doing everything well and this remains true for the 2004 iteration. Sporting two new colors for '04, the Bandit 1200S is back and better than ever. This standard-styled machine features an aerodynamic, aggressively styled fairing with bright projector-beam headlights and protective windscreen. Other highlights include a comfortable seat and stylish tail section, lightweight components and a powerful four-stroke engine. The 1157cc air/oil-cooled, four-cylinder motor provides an abundance of torque and power, thanks to precise cam timing, Mikuni 36mm carburetors with throttle position sensor, and a high-capacity clutch and oil-cooling system. The Bandit 1200S is supported by a strong, stable chassis. Its cartridge-style front fork offers adjustable spring preload and the preload- and rebound-adjustable rear shock is mated to a sturdy aluminum swingarm. The Bandit 1200S rolls on radial tires spooned onto wide aluminum wheels. Dual 310mm hydraulic disc brakes are assigned to the front and a single hydraulic disc is mounted at the rear. Other features include external tie-down hooks, a large 5.3-gallon fuel tank, convenient passenger grab rails, a large under-seat storage area and a handy centerstand. All this performance and practicality should cost a ton of money, but the Bandit 1200S is available for less than $7500 - making it perfect for any rider.
