This bike was sitting in a shed for 30 years. Time & rodents took their toll.The work done to it includes the following: New tires and brakes ( cleaned & lubed the bearings),New battery, New wire harness with all associated grommets, New front crank shaft & cam shaft seals, New petcock, filters, & fuel lines, New crankcase breather filter, New grips (throttle bevel gear and cables lubed), Complete new ignition system (original magneto coil checked OK), Replaced the center stand with all associated hardware, Cleaned and relined gas tank (paint suffered as a result - see pix) missing right badge, Carbs cleaned & rebuilt, Main ignition switch in headlight bucket and horn/ high/ low light switch rebuilt.The final checkout was done by Adam Cramer, the owner of Liberty Vintage Motorcycles in Philadelphia, Pa. He set the valves, carbs, and ignition timing.I have driven the bike approximately 350 miles since. Drive line fluids have been changed 2 times. Fuel additives for alcohol removal and a lead substitute for the valves & seats were used. The engine oil has STP zinc additive for the bearings and was changed a 3rd time.The bike runs beautifully and does not use / burn oil. The original saddle bags & brackets are also offered. They have been cleaned with a leather conditioner but as the pictures show still need work ( time and mice did a number on the latches). Up for sale, reluctantly, is my 2016 Triumph Thruxton, the 'new liquid cooled' 1200 model. This is a fabulous bike, at 96 HP, powerful and smooth. If you are reading this listing, you are most likely aware of the tremendous strides Triumph has made with it's new, liquid cooled twin cylinder bikes. The motorcycling press cannot praise them enough... This Thruxton I purchased new in May of this year, it's current odometer reading is 2,023. It will carry the balance of it's 2 year factory warranty. Extras on this bike include the color matched seat cowl, factory heated grips, (which,by the way, are fabulous!), and Pazzo adjustable billet levers. The first service was completed on schedule, as was the recent safety recall for the fuel sub-harness. I promise you will not find a better or finer example of this bike anywhere, used or new, It is in immaculate, showroom condition, never in rain, always stored inside and on a battery tender when not in use, and is wired for both the battery tender as well as Gerbing heated clothing lead. It has been properly broken in and cared for by it's 'senior citizen' - 68 year old owner (me!) Good condition 1991 Suzuki GS500. Great bike for beginners as it has enough power to get around town and highways without revving it up high. No plastic fairings to scratch or break if it happens to go down. I bought this bike to learn on and I've loved it. Just looking to get something a little newer to use as a daily commuter. Starts right up with very little choke, runs great. Previous owner before me installed a Vance and Hines exhaust. New spark plugs, oil filter/oil, air filter, rear brake caliper (w/ almost new pads), front brake pads, indicator light bulbs, brake lever all swapped out within the last 3 months. Choke cable and throttle cable adjusted so there's no pull when handlebars are turned full lock. Tires still have plenty of tread EDIT: 08/12/16 Took it to the shop to get inspected and found that the front fork seals need to be replaced. I was quoted $200 to replace the seals. If you're handy, it looks to be a fairly simple process. I just don't feel like putting in any more time or effort into the bike at the moment. Bike still rides, but you'll just have to get the seals replaced at some point. Price has been lowered to reflect the new info.
