Badlands Hummer H1 kit. It is sitting on a 1987 Chevrolet v2500 Suburban frame. It has been sandblasted and painted flat black. It has been professionally checked on a frame machine and is straight. It has had the steering reinforcement bracket welded in and has about 10K miles on a remanufactured steering box. All frame modification has been completed. Front and rear frame rails have been shortened, new front cross member from the kit installed and rear cross members have been moved. It has new one ton front and rear springs with Off Road Design polyurethane greasable shackle bolts. Both front and rear differentials have been gone through and have new bearings and seals. It is a GM 14 bolt corporate rear and 10 bolt front with 4:10 gears. It’s sitting on 36 X 12.50 X 16.5 Goodyear Wrangler R/T Military take off tires with about 50% of the tread left. The rear has new wheel cylinders shoes and emergency brake cables. The emergency brake pedal is installed and works but need final adjusted. The front has new pads, calipers and rubber hoses. Brakes have been bled but not really well; it stops ok but will need bled again before driving. Steering column has been installed with the Jeep XJ intermediate shaft conversion to eliminate the rag joint. It is a tilt column from the donor suburban. A Lokar cable shift kit has been installed to the 700r transmission and works great. It also has new Rancho shocks all the way around. Everything has been painted with Rustoleum flat black. The engine, transmission and transfer case is from a 1990 suburban and have been painted cammo desert tan. The engine and transmission are remanufactured Jasper with about 23K miles on them. It is a 350 engine; 700r automatic K case transmission and 241C transfer case. B&M transmission vacuum operated torque converter lock up control. I pulled the fuel injection intake and replaced it with a Street Assault four barrel intake for a carburetor. It has a new accel ignition GM HEI distributor, and Holley 670 truck avenger carburetor with electric choke. The engine looked excellent when the intake was pulled. I drove the suburban before pulling the drivetrain and it ran and shifted great. Drive shafts have been installed with new universal joints. It has an aluminum Griffin 4 core radiator with transmission cooler. Stainless steel radiator hoses. Complete Vintage air Super Cooler kit installed. It still needs to be charged. Painless wiring kit has been installed and 90% completed. All dash, column and engine wiring completed. It has New Vintage 1940s styled military gauge kit that is fully wired and everything works. It has thermostat controlled electric radiator fan. Separate oil and transmission coolers mounted under the floor with thermostat controlled electric fans. External power steering cooler mounted under the front cross member from a 3500 pickup. The body is a badlands RT kit. It cost $16K new just for the body alone. http://www.classicroadsters.ca/html/badlands_rt.html . It is made of 11GA steel. It has been painted single stage olive drab green. I intended on painting it military cammo. It has a fiberglass removable had top, removable doors and fiberglass forward folding hood. It has a plastic 35 gallon gas tank with 11ga steel skid plates. The gas tank has been installed with a new pickup and fuel sending unit. All fuel lines have been run with an electric Mr. Gasket 105P fuel pump and return style regulator installed on the firewall. Steel tailgate, front and rear bumpers made of ¼” plate with D hooks welded on. Class 3 trailer hitch wired for electric brakes. Exhaust is fairly new from the donor Suburban and has a new muffler installed. It will need interior, glass, lights and completion of body assembly to be finished. It start, runs, shifts and stops good and can be yard driven. 4X4 works fine. The timing is set by ear and I have not adjusted the carb, it will need tuned up. Plugs and wires are also new. Windshield wipers are installed and ready for wiper arms. I have around 16K invested at this point. I have a clear title in my name for the 1987 ¾ ton suburban frame the Hummer is sitting on. I have a clear title signed title with bill of sale for the donor suburban the drivetrain came out of. I have a notarized bill of sale for the Hummer body from the guy I purchased it from & $8K in receipts for parts I’ve bought. In Virginia it will have to be titled as a re-bodied Vehicle. Virginia won’t issue a title until it is completed and inspected, so I cannot get a tile now, but I have all the paperwork to do so.
